I was making Hamburger Helper at 8 years old for the family dinner. My mom worked and my big sister was too lazy to do it. There are so many ways you can add extra ingredients to this box mix to create new versions, back in the day. 😁
Don't drain the meat juice. It's mostly water, it will boil away, and the meat will be more tender and tasty if you let it cook in its' own liquid. It will make the overall cook time longer, but it's not like you have to do much else other than stir the pan every few minutes.
Yeah I always used to make mushroom soup simmered meatballs and for some reason me and my family would always drain the balls and clean the pan. I realized one day wait why the fuck am I cleaning it? The meatball juice and char slowly melts and makes it even better lol
The main potential issue of not using a lid, would be that the sauce might thicken too quickly before the pasta gets tender. You could still give it a try. Or, you could boil the pasta separately in another pot until it’s tender, then drain the pasta and add it to your Hamburger Helper mixture.
I am here because there’s no way they could actually be a video about how to cook hamburger helper. But as I said before my eyes, I am being amazed, thrilled and excited about the future.
