You’re joking right? They were never underrated by any means of the word they changed music and sold out everywhere they went. And forgotten? You might as well just fuck off with that statement.
@@therenegadej5764 I mean in terms of getting National recognition like other acts from their time, Zeppelin, stones, Floyd, eagles, allman brothers, etc. the band’s name is never up there with those guys. Levon my favorite musician of all time....I saw the last waltz in 😊LA in 1978...saw levon at the tower theater in Philadelphia in 2983 or 84...saw danko and robbie Robertson at the Golden bear in Huntington Beach 1978...
The Band also put their great talent to "I Shall Be Released" and "This Wheel's On Fire" (co-written by The Band's Rick Danko). Later Band music (without Robbie Robertson and Richard Manuel) included Dylan's "Forever Young" and "Blind Willie McTell." BIG fan since 1968...
Yes he did, on a Rick danko gig in 1978 the whole band got together and did a few songs. Plus the canadian music hall of fame induction and the rock n roll hall of fame induction. He's still a greedy guy though..
Robbie was the genius behind all the best songs they ever had. Without Robbie it was just a great cover band. But not The Band. He had a right to leave the band, he had already given all his best songs to it. Then much later Levon got bitter and started getting these ridiculous accusations, should have written some songs and not whine like a baby.
