Brian Culbertson is a AWESOME! We are both graduates of MacArthur high school in Decatur, IL where his father who is playing trumpet on this number was the band teacher and let me add that he was also AWESOME in his teaching. Keep making the music I love to hear. Thanks!
I think this was the 1st song of Brian’s that I ever heard, way back in ‘95. I’ve been tagging along ever since. God, thank you for bringing this human into the world. His music soothes my soul.
Kudos to the videographers for brilliantly capturing this masterpiece for the eyes to see. It's one thing hearing music, and quite another to see it actually being made... what a visual treat this also is!
LOVE how this jazz piece builds. The bass line remains cool and steady throughout, holding it all together (as it should). It seems to me there's a way to listen to this track that may enhance one's appreciation for it. I say ride that bassline from beginning to end!
You have to remember music like this along w/P.Hardcastle,P.White,Boney J. etc.touches the heart & soul on another level & in this day & time its hard sometimes to find people w/ either.
It's so refreshing to see young Sisters and Brothers who appreciate classy contemporary jazz from one of today's greats. Glad to see there are young people who listen to something soothing to the soul and not just (c)rap music:)
I introduced my 11 year old to Jazz, so she appreciate good music and enjoy the sounds of the musicians talents....This crappy music...Rap, hip hop has changed....no meaning what do ever..so I want her to know THE REAL!!!
Baba Mustafa I’m forever grateful to my father for teaching me how to broaden my musical horizons at a very young age. Jr. high, I’ll be 53 October 12 which by the way I met B on my 50th and he’s as cool as a cucumber 🥒
Gd9te/Gdnite Sjcovi45 Thnx 4 sharing info. With Us reg: Brian C./ yur Oct. B-day. Mine is @ end of Oct.👍👊 I ❤ his & a few others Smooth Jazz/instrumentals as well. 👊
This is grown folks music. This is when you really understand music. That other stuff is for kids, but when you become an adult you put away childish things. Do you feel. Me.👍💯
I am in love with Brian and his music.. I listen to his music everyday all day. All my friends ask me who are you listening to now "Brian". He came to Dayton, Ohio took some friends who had never heard his music, they went out and puchases just about all of his music. That concert was sensual and seductive, all the people there dance the hold time. We couldn't sit.
~ I'm in love with his Music🎵🎹🎵🎹🎷🎶🎺🎶so Amazing 2 my ❤ and mind, it's get down deep in my soul, this is my 1st time hearing his beautiful smoothing music🎵😎🎵I can't STOP listening to his music , It's really SSSSSSSSSNICE ⭐ ❤ ⭐ I'm disable, with chronic pain, I thank God for Brian, It's blessing 4 me I'm relaxing, not hurting as bad as I was, I really can get some decent rest now Thank You❤God bless U 2❗😂Tears of joy 😊❗
Just cutting my teeth here in the music world in the past half dozen years or so. I'm finding smooth jazz to be my top pick. Brian C. is heavenly. Started with Sade (still in love), then Paul Hardcastle, Brian Simpson, and finally Culberston here. Never used to be able to appreciate any music at all. It took smooth jazz to really awaken the senses. Now, I dance at home all the time to this guy. My soul used to hurt 24/7, but no more.
Just saw Brian in Atlanta for Sunset Jazz Fest.... he just officially made a new fan. He hung note for note with Boney James for highlight of the night, and Boney was my reason for attending. I'm now looking up all of his music and going out to buy CD's if I like what I hear. But live.... that's a baaaaddddd boy on them keys!!! Definitely get your money worth watching the show live!!!!
I just love to sit, and listen to Brian Culbertson music; it takes me way back in the day. The man got some smooth sounds. Georgia B. Pensacola Florida.
I was living in Oak Harbor WA when I heard this song in 1995 I ran to the local music store and ordered Modern Life along with Paul Taylors O n the Horn CD. Brian is someone you should see live I have been fortunate too see in him 3 times and each shows feels like a first. It is now 2021 and this is still my go to song.
Mrs. Brian Culbertson, I am in love with your husband!! LOL! I love his music. First heard him live at the Russian River Jazz festival a few years ago, been a fan since. Can't wait to see him live again soon at his Napa Valley Jazz festival. As soon as tickets are available, I'm in!! 🎹💃🏾
His music causes me to breathe more deeply...breathing in more Light, more Love... Refreshing! Brian is the gift of God to us in the form of sound, music.
Lo vi en vivo luego de su segundo album Come to me y las palabras no pueden expresar. Tuve la oportunidad de compartir con él y es un tremendo ser humano. Me firmó un autógrafo que todavia conservo.
I been listening to Brian since Modern Life and have not missed a beat since I saw him 3 times live and each time was like my first time seeing him. He is talented and easy on the eyes. See him if you can!!
Brian Culbertson - Come To Me: God this is so very beautiful, manly and it's magical to watch the entire band members play their key note's and all come together with such passion! Sends incredible rippling chill sensations through me. TY
There are really no words to describe how good BC is. Makes me wonder whether Brian is even from here (earth, that is 😎) Clearly he's been anointed from up above, blessed with phenomenal musical talent. As a composer, Brian's arrangements are just pure genius! Also, the "band" (less BC)... is absolutely fantastic! The musicianship on display is top-notch, no surprise given the high bar set by the band's leader. And what a gift to us jazz fans that we get to actually see some of the live studio tracks of his work!
Simplesmente fantástico..... muito talento.... é realmente extraordinário.... a musicalidade do Brian Culbertson está acima da média... o trabalho é inspirador e temático! VALE A PENA CONFERIR
Brian Culbertson - Come To Me: as once upon a time I private danced to raise money for social & community causes in need of funds. And this composition gentlemen would certainly be a great melody to humpty dump to for an audience. It's got a hypnotic touch to it. It is exceptionally a pleasure to listen to. I get a great deal of pleasure every time I listen to it especially at 4:05 thru 6:27, uhm ... uhm. Thank you gentlemen!
Doesn't matter if I hear and see this a thousand times, it never gets old! Love how the bass defiantly holds the song together at the end when it tries to run away, as if to say "Come [back] to Me"!
Sounds from the soul.....all these great Jazz Musicians....they take you to another world...Brian C has always been so smooth....hard to just love one.....just came across Matt Marshak....WOW....Harlem River Drive....Gas Lamp Groove....Dream in in Dubai....take a listen....Smooth Jazz....Music for the Soul...
Wow what a song, this is when I don't care if the clock is moving or not, this song just made my soul dance 🩰 thank you for such a great compilation, and hat off to the writer as well
Brian Culbertson is a AWESOME! We are both graduates of MacArthur high school in Decatur, IL where his father who is playing trumpet on this number was the band teacher and let me add that he was also AWESOME in his teaching. Keep making the music I love to hear. Thanks!

It's one thing hearing music, and quite another to see it actually being made... what a visual treat this also is!
Yes, I agree, especially when the zoom on the hands of the musicians ❤❤❤
I am very fortunate to have started appreciating jazz at a very young age, God bless the beautiful souls that dish out those pieces of soulful jazz
Man I LOVE his style of music !! But I love watching him play EQUALLY AS MUCH! He's all in to it!!
LOVE how this jazz piece builds. The bass line remains cool and steady throughout, holding it all together (as it should).
It seems to me there's a way to listen to this track that may enhance one's appreciation for it. I say ride that bassline from beginning to end!
Brian is Masterful in and at his craft of making beautiful music! WOW! ⚘️⚘️⚘️
I KNOW EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT IN MANY WAYS, BUT IT IS STILL HARD TO BELIEVE THAT THERE ARE SO MANY PEOPLE TO WHICH THIS MUSIC HAS NO APPEAL.
Yeah, of all the jazz pianists introduced to me, Brian Culbertson's the only one I really liked because of the way he plays! And I'm mainly classical
I fid that really sad, really sad. That some people have no concept of good music & are unable to appreciate & feel good music.
noone99990 . . .how about bob james? i would probably blowup if i had to choose between them.
You have to remember music like this along w/P.Hardcastle,P.White,Boney J. etc.touches the heart & soul on another level & in this day & time its hard sometimes to find people w/ either.
It's all about consciousness and frequency. We who love this music operate a different wavelength than those who don't like it.
Just found this in 2020. April, Melbourne Australia. Got the world in lock down. But i"m free. Thanks to this music.
☝🎶🎵🎹👌
Brian Culbertson is absolutely 100% my favorite pianist! What he does I wish I could do! Talent like a mug!

I LOVE the muffled tunes of the trumpet!!!. This song has a bit of everything for any music lover!!!!!! I saw him play right here in Denver!!!!
Brian is why it's called Smooth Jazz. He is smooth and soothing.
It's so refreshing to see young Sisters and Brothers who appreciate classy contemporary jazz from one of today's greats. Glad to see there are young people who listen to something soothing to the soul and not just (c)rap music:)
+Baba Mustafa I second that, coming from a young musician.
I introduced my 11 year old to Jazz, so she appreciate good music and enjoy the sounds of the musicians talents....This crappy music...Rap, hip hop has changed....no meaning what do ever..so I want her to know THE REAL!!!

Simply beautiful! I can't stop listening to it ...
