These pads still utilize the clear bottom portion so the LEDs will shine through, just as they do with the standard pads (see picture). These pads are more than 50% thicker than the standard Akai pads. These pads are also extra soft, utilizing a softer shore hardness to create a more pillowy feel to the pads for less strain on your fingers.
