I just thought if they put an FM radio built-in but that’s pointless you can just sample FM radio from your phone! into the inputs this thing is complete!! and with the new update my goodness.
That was probably a one off cause I never had an issue and also these are the mothership of mpc I'm sure the whole community would be making noise if that was an issue, and their not making noise. Trust me the mpc community is a powerful voice 👌 🙌
The mic input part of the MPC X is not just straight forward plug it in and you hear something. It's just like a daw where you have to assign the audio input to the track you want and arm to record. Also having your knobs set right because it's like the top right of the MPC X is like a audio interface. I had the toughest time wrapping my head around it. I thought the XLR input was faulty. Then when I did it I was like ohh okay.
I bought my Mpc x from the Akai rep at my Guitar Center for 1100$ open box. Still had the plastic on it and it was never registered before in the box with everything. It was One of the best purchases I have ever made. This machine allows me to make what I have heard in my head all my life. I must go back and thank him when I visit Seattle next.
I have the MPC Live 2 and it has changed my life and production period, I was FL Gang 4 Life until I got one of these and I never looked back at a PC for nearly a year, I only use my PC now as a sound module and complete all beats via standalone mode with this MPC from the gods, if you saw no complaints in this video it's truly because Akai has crafted something using black magic, the only complaints this machine ever has is very rarely it may crash after a major update but then Akai fixes it with the next minor update and we get back on track, the complaint is how long until I make some more 2 minutes from now. If you're mad about the price let me tell you it's beyond worth it in this case, go-to Zzounds or somebody and get one today. Took me a year to get one because when the Live 2 first came out it immediately sold out for that long, finally got one and haven't been disappointed yet, must buy period and works better with software if you need more sounds which it can store on the MPC with it's autosampler or you can simply use the looper function and keep it moving, endless possibilities
I would have never had bought the NI Maschine in 2009 , if Akai had come out with the MPC X first . But of course I bought the MPC X right away, when it came out , in 2017.
mine doesn't work. the manufacturer does not repair it because there are no parts. no picture, no sound. it's just here. i will never buy an akai product again for sure.
I got mine B-stock on the reverb site early December few months ago. Never heard of B-stock before...but basically it was brand new, plastic film still on it. Only paid $1800 for it. If I really looked could've got it for $1500. I bought on impulse because my computer kept updating all the time and taking forever to load. Thought about buying another PC...said nope lol. FedEx guy left it out in the open and it had a big letter Akai outter box with the real box inside...sat outside for 5 hours supposed to be signed. I was pissed. Luckily my wife bought it inside or it would've been 10 hours outside.
I had a similar experience. I couldn't believe the FedEx guy had the nerve. I even had a note on My door saying "FedEx, I am home." with My front door slightly cracked. After a while of waiting to hear the doorbell or a knock, I checked the updates and it said "delivered" I was like "What?!" My package was laying in front of My house out in the open.
@@Craftmaster3 I don't know what to say about any of it now. I mean I can't believe they raise the force price by $300. All I'm saying is if they come out with these updates for live the prices going to go up soon.

@@THA-REAPER Thank you.
Great video. Love my Live 2. Gotta use it more lol.
Thanks fam!..The Live 2 is Nice!
I feel you.
I WENT BACK AND THANKED HIM.

Exactly! I had the 2000xl and 1000, now own a Live 2 and am 😍. Akai is so thoro, just get that screen to tilt and we coolio. Thanks DyReck!
No doubt fam!
I don't need it, but I want it BAD!
Lol I feel you.
AKAI MPCX ...IS THE "BRUCE LEE" ...OF ALL DRUM MACHINES
Lol Word up!
Yeah..Give it a couple years more and they'll be putting the X up for like 3gs on ebay Lol.
@@DyReckProductions I saw that yesterday 😂

Thanks bro!
I agree, King of the MPC’s.
I don't see a sampler beating it right now.
Not the king of MPCs GTFOHSB with that bs
I would have never had bought the NI Maschine in 2009 , if Akai had come out with the MPC X first . But of course I bought the MPC X right away, when it came out , in 2017.
Lol I feel you.
Gameboy LCD screen 🤣
Lmao!
Toomp is a legend.
Yup.
MPC X still running strong. And still NOTHING comes close.
Damn man just talk about the mpc x without all the added stuff. Lol

Thats actually a good one..I have a korg D16..Alot of the old school recorders dont get too much love since daws took over.
2023 Supreme and Kirk State be getting busy on the MPC X.
Oh ok dope!
NGL I was a little pissed when the MPC dropped like 2 months after I bought an octatrack and there was no way I was gonna be able to afford the MPC-X
Dang!
mine doesn't work. the manufacturer does not repair it because there are no parts. no picture, no sound. it's just here. i will never buy an akai product again for sure.
Dang!..Thats crazy!
Nice Machine ~a little buggy and Glitchy but nice machine..
No doubt.
What a superb vid...and a monster of a machine I've only ever heard of the mpc one etc..
I wish they had other color options for the X.
That would be dope!
Wow 5 hours!!!..I would body slam the FedEx dude next time I saw them Lol.
@@TheManInCommand Thats crazy!

Idk..Akai always got updates..So they keep it pretty current.

$200.00 for each wiper blade lol !!!!!
Lmao!
very good video - well done with nice production values
Thanks fam!
What happened was it cost $2,000! Although to be honest I do like it's form factor.
Lol I feel you.
thats how much MPC's cost though
@@Craftmaster3 I don't know what to say about any of it now. I mean I can't believe they raise the force price by $300. All I'm saying is if they come out with these updates for live the prices going to go up soon.
@@joebrewer4529 which updates?
@@Craftmaster3 I would assume they're going to update live at one point like they did the force. I mean they can't be not running pretty much the same OS. At that point the NPC level become a full-blown workstation like the force. You can get the force before the update for six or seven hundred dollars on eBay now it's like $800 or more because of the price hike. I don't see how that's not going to happen for the live. But now everything's going like that with a music equipment. It used to be you could get some cool stuff for a reasonable price. And I finally had some money and I've been buying some stuff here and there. But now a lot of old music girl wanted to buys either price too high or just isn't showing up. I mean I want to get an MPC 4000. But I don't know now when prices change your priorities change. I will be interested to see where behringer goes with their sampler and daw platform. To be honest though when I'm really waiting for is an FL studio pro controller. FL studio is my bread and butter!
Only a real music head could refer to the great #capleton like that 😁
Lmao!..thanks bro!
I was a non believer until lol I bought one.
Oh ok..I feel you.
I’ll just stick to FL STUDIO..
Lol.
Yes, great for making "beats"
No doubt.
