- Rishi Sunak's position as Prime Minister has come under fire due to a disorganised plan by some Conservative MPs to replace him with Penny Mordaunt before the next general election.
With the Conservative Party polling at only 24 percent, nervous MPs from various factions reportedly met to discuss making Mordaunt the new Prime Minister without going through an election process.
This move would mark the sixth change in leadership for the Conservatives since the 2010 general election, and the third without a general election.
However, an ally of Mordaunt, who serves as the leader of the House of Commons, dismissed these claims as "nonsense," denying any orchestrated plot to make her the Tory leader.

At this point I think the Tories want to run through as many PMs as possible so they can fill the House of Lords with their honours list candidates. Then it doesn’t matter what the people vote for, they’ll always have an unelected majority.

If, as suggested here, Farage leads Reform into the Election and then quits as leader afterwards, surely people voting Reform specifically for him will feel cheated and it would damage his personal brand. So, why would he do that?
