- It's not often that MPs demand the resignation of their party leader and Prime Minister on the eve of a national election. (Subscribe: bit.ly/C4_News...)
But furious Conservative backbenchers are in open revolt against Theresa May today over her proposal to give parliament a vote on another referendum in the Brexit withdrawal bill. A string of MPs have called on her to quit immediately. She might have heard a similar message from members of her cabinet if she hadn't refused to meet a number of them this afternoon.

The brexit deal isn't about the future relationship at all but about the terms of leaving ("the divorce") and UK parliament rejected it because of the backstop, not because there wasn't enough free trade with the EU. Trade is part of the future relationship to be negotiated after both sides have ratified the divorce deal. Suggesting Barnier offered a free trade deal he isn't even authorized to offer by the EU is just a blatant lie.

We already use WTO terms for our world trade so whats your problem as since 2009 that world trade has been bigger than our EU trade so if it works for the rest of the world it will work for our EU trade as well. She would have won the day for the UK if she had moved to WTO terms for trade with the EU which work for our trade with the rest of the world. Facts are since 2009 we have traded more using these terms than into the EU. These terms allow trade to flow in and out of the EU unhindered. With out prepaying with our tax for the right to trade. The EU is not a free trade area it is prepay for the right to trade if your a member of the EU.

His mention of state aid is complete BS, plenty of examples of European governments rescuing companies just google it, it's even mentioned in the EU regulations and UK Gov advice as "unnotified aid", in emergencies Gov can rescue companies then notify the EU later as state aid has to be regulated to prevent abuse of the system and maintain equal competition in the single market.
