- Nigel Farage is boycotting the BBC, accusing them of bias after his rough reception on Friday's Question Time.
During the leaders' special, Farage was slammed by the audience, with one calling him a racist and another questioning his party's extremist ties. He disowned three candidates on the spot after their offensive remarks were revealed, with a Reform spokesperson later confirming their removal.
Farage announced on Saturday he won't appear on the BBC again unless they apologise for the "biased" audience, stating on X, "Our state broadcaster has behaved like a political actor throughout this election. Reform will be campaigning vigorously to abolish the licence fee."
The BBC denied the bias claims, stating the Question Time audience had a balanced representation from various parties.

I thought it was hard to watch, and it was so obviously bias, at one point, l was getting so wound up l asked my husband to turn it off, but we continued to watch it to the end. With all of these leaders debates there has been applause at the end, but poor Nigel got nothing, even though he answered all the questions, which is something the other leaders don't (particularly Starmer). He rebuffed and challenged the audience successfully.
Even my brother a Conservative voter normally yesterday agreed a out the bias and was totally ashamed of the BBC.

I do agree that I saw a bias question and no true equal representation. People ask me why if I was in politics why I wouldn't do news conferences unless I had a say.
By this I mean in the main building with all channels and people from all parties not just my own. Everyone gets equal time and minutes for a question and me my answer.
If I get asked a biased question I will say ask a real question and not to look smarter then you act. I would not give a rats ass and tell you as it is.

Imagine you have a friend who degrades women and you don't agree with that. But you're expecting to apologise for there views. He didn't and neither would I. I can try to find the link and send it as another comment.

With respect the BBC QT program was a very clear stitch up. You only need to do simple searches on the internet to see that the questioners were activists with a very clear agenda. Fiona BRUCE was likewise making the situation worse with her continual interruptions. It may be that the audience had lied on their application forms for the program.
Perhaps Nick should have watched the NEC rally on 30th June 2024.
