@Y It's true, & not just the internet. Those who think Mark's comment is laughable would likely find it advantageous to try a life audit & address their personal development so that they may experience an increase in quality of life.
Randomly found this video while searching for illustrators. This was the perfect video for me. Several encouraging words with several tips for anyone diving into the illustration world. Tank you Coralie.
This was very inspirational and motivational thank you. I feel very old to be starting this (well, 38!) but I’ve been drawing on and off my whole life but never took it seriously until now and almost everyone else I see on social media are so young! But this video helps me come up with my next steps which helped loads.
Thank you so much, this has been inspiring and motivating, something I have wanted to get into but didn't know where to start, I had studied Graphic Arts and left the industry 10years ago but I want to go back but through doing illustrations.
Thank you for this great video. I'm desperate for professional advice: Can I illustrate a children's book in Sketchbook Pro instead of Photoshop? Thank you.
Hello, I would like to know if at the age of 24, when I am just now starting my adventure with drawing in Photoshop, do I have a chance to become an illustrator in the future? Ever since I was little I have always drawn something because it made me happy but over time I unfortunately gave in to peer pressure to start preparing for "more serious" professions, however I still enjoyed creating graphics for various comics, books and I decided to return to this at the age of 24. As for my artistic level, it is at a low level, so I am diligently learning the basics of drawing, as well as how to use the Photoshop tool. I realise that it may take me years to learn how to draw and master graphic design programs, as well as build up my portfolio, but I really want to become an illustrator. I know that at the moment my level and knowledge of graphic programmes is low, so I plan to start working as a car painter and at the same time further study to become an illustrator, with a view to changing careers in the future. I'm wondering if this kind of self-study and at the age of 24 is enough for me to be able to work as an illustrator in the future even in some small company. I have heard about various courses and I wonder if they can really help me get a job. Thank you in advance for all your advice and guidance.
Illustration as business is already dying because of the AI. The market is over saturated. You can be an illustrator just for yourself. I don’t think you can make money out of it.
This is exactly the type of advice the internet needs: kind, gentle, yet informative and focused. Thank you so much

How brilliant to use a Mind Map as you spoke. Really effective for organising + communicating a number of ideas. Well done you! Cheers from Australia
