- if DVR/NVR is faulty but you have very important data for video in HDD and HDD is useable then with Disk manager software we can recover the data from HDD. and disk manager software will work as virtual NVR.

Installed the latest toolbox under windows 10, disk manager is missing , it shows up during agreement screens right after install but disappears after , tried creating account using the tool box many times, never received the activation email. Not sure what is is expected here and how is one supposed to use it

if HDD is ok then you can use this software from dahua tool box and use virtual dvr mode to copy or download your data

i used dahua xvr penta 4 port hdd samsung 500gb into desktop pc. when system scan to message option to select parttition type, i choose mbr. then system shows unaloocated disk. no more command. now how to back dahua hdd parttion to restore my all video footage. thank you.
dear you need to use this disk manager tool without changing the HDD type or format otherwise you will loose data... it will show your HDD as external or internal partition and work as virtual NVR

overwritten footage , in my experience, officially i never could do or there is no method .. but maybe some IT guy / expert can guide you

If it's internal just select drive and click folder ..
