Ah your story about Kazech makes me think of my cat Jack. He was a Barn cat when I lived in he country. I finally got enough money and got out of my parents place on some odd terms but the one thing I regretted is that I couldn’t take my cat with me. My Dad knew he would try to get out and absolutely get hit by a car living in the city so I had to leave him with them. He lived to be 21 years old, he was a great cat!
Wow, she was amazingly chill for being subjected to so much Do Not Want. Loved your story about Kaz - I really admire you both for rescuing pets and for making the tough decision to give him up, and I'm glad that he's living his best life.
Your rescue cat was from Kazakhstan?! Im originally from Kazakhstan and we had a lot of stray cats on the streets growing up. It’s amazing to hear you were able to help some babies all the way from Canada ❤
One of my daughters lives in Dubai, they have a massive stray cat problem and my daughter has grown up with cats and she missed living with them. So she became a foster mum and has had so much success in rehoming them around the world, while working a full time high pressure job. She had to stop taking in anymore cats because the one she is fostering now has a lot of difficulties. So she’s had to keep her separate from other cats and people. She won’t accept any touching but will play with toys as long as there’s a distance. We all wish we could help her, as my daughter is living Dubai after 5 years there. We will make sure she’s okay and as even the staff are frightened of her, even though I’d say she’s not the most difficult of cases. We may have to fly her to England. There’s no way we could leave her with people that don’t understand who she is and what her needs are.
I'm really impressed with this cat. She settled down beautifully. She was super chill after the bath finished, and she seems to have been enjoying it, even if only slightly, near the end!
I have to watch videos here with the volume either WAY down, or with headphones on, or I get two very upset and confused kitties demanding to know where the sad cat is* 😸 * and maybe whether they should also be sad - the two of them manage to whip themselves up into shared trauma over absolutely nothing: Him: *accidentally steps on something or tail wafts something that makes a noise* OMG! Her: OMG WHAT IS IT AHHHH *jumps* Him: OMG WHAT IS SCARY AHHHH IF YOU’RE SCARED SOMETHING MUST BE SCARY I’M SCARRRRRED! *runs and hides* 😹
Greta is a beauty. The story about Kaz was so sweet. I know how hard it is to give up an animal for their own safety. We love them and so do what is best for them.
What a beautiful sweet cat! I don't doubt her owners have a lot of upkeep on her coat. It looks like they take really good care of her, especially with how few matts she had and how tolerant she was with brushing. She's a pro!
they probably have to brush her every day, probably more than once 😳 even my medium haired cat needs to be brushed daily to not get matted so this would be super difficult. i’m not surprised she had a little bit of matting she’s so tolerant of being brushed that they gotta do it all the time
This cat does have beautiful fur! And she behaved very well for all that brushing. It must be satisfying to send home an animal that looks so lovely after you have worked on them. I love your videos!
The technique of parting their hair and brushing from the skin out, one swath then another parting next to it, one little section at a time, reminds me of human hair styling. My two cats are domestic "shorthair" but their fur is medium length. I now starting using this technique on them and it's very good! It doesn't pull their hair too much or make them uncomfortable. Thank you for teaching!
man I used to really believe people who rehome their pets when moving don't care or don't try to make the situation work but you really did make a good decision for him its not easy and maybe you'll find another kitty you can have. I am glad you found him a good safe home
Rehoming is sometimes the best option for the pet and keeping the pet is not in the pet’s best interest. And sometimes it’s the only choice someone has, and it’s heartbreaking. Judgment is the last thing they need.
It was awesome to see recently some info about temporary pet support programs like Lost Our Home (Arizona USA) that are helping people in situations such as temp homelessness or having to shift for a while to somewhere that doesn't allow animals, so they have more options and don't have to automatically give up their pets? Sometimes rehoming is definitely the best option - but sometimes people are just struggling with temporary crisis, and I love that there are groups working to see that that isn't compounded by traumatic loss of very loved animals 💗
@@parryyotter 100%. Sadly I'm going through this decision currently due to a messy divorce and a partner who won't look after his kitties. I can't take them in as I'm moving to a home with huskies and as much as I've tried to think of ways to make it work there is only so much I can do to stop them from getting near my babies - as the dogs are let out a lot themselves and I can't trust them not to just come across the cats when the kitties are out wanderin'. The only option left is to give them to someone I can trust - it's a difficult decision but sometimes us pet owners have to make them for the better of our little buddies.

Nice job Greta and Vanessa! I think the cuteness overload was Greta in her happy hood staring straight into the camera. Her magnificent eyes unobscured by face fluff.
She reminds me of one of my cats (a long haired domestic, totally different colour) in how she behaves. I groomed mine myself (going back nearly 20 years here lol) and it was a similar tail swipe and cry, but never claws or teeth. Absolutely beautiful cat and kudos to the owners as well for maintaining that fur!

What a good girl! She handled it like a champ. I have two short hair cats and I look after their grooming at home. Their coats are so different in texture. My tuxie girl's coat is so, so soft and fluffy but my void boy's coat is more sleek and a little bit rougher. They're my best buddies! ❤
I have the same types of fur on my 2 kitties, just different colors! One long haired, soft, fluffy calico and one short haired, sleek, "house panther" black cat
Vanessa rehoming her kitty was a wise move. Had cats that liked trying to get out before, they nearly gave us heart failure doing so. The escape artist kitty comment did remind me of one cat especially, he kept escaping the box we kept him in when we first found him as a baby, even when we put stuff on top. Between that and his black fur, he was dubbed Houdini. Had a happy life spoiled rotten till it was time for his dog mom to come pick him up to wait for us in heaven.
I absolutely love cats and feel very connected to them. I could not help but feel sad for this kitty 😢 only because I know the bathing/brushing process is so hard on a cat with this much hair and she is putting up with so much she dislikes. She seems like a very sweet pet. I love this cat! As for long hair cats it is so important they learn to deal with this right after they are weaned because this really helps them accept it when they are full grown. If you keep a shorthair indoors they might be fine with brushing alone but the long hair may need to be bathed and definitely brushed. Weeks old kittens are very open to imprinting and should be exposed to all the things you will want them to do as adults. When they are grown they will be far more open to tasks like bathing, claw clipping and traveling in a car if you start them just after they are weaned because there is not much time before they will be less accepting and never warm up to it. At an early age, kittens are very social and like being together. This is when they can be imprinted with what we want to do with them later.
What a beautiful kitty. I love the color of her fur and it's so thick. Greta behaved so well and, thank God, she didn't try to escape from 'Alcatraz' 😂 Well done Vanessa! 😊

That same idiot doctor diagnose my uncle thypus when we brought to ER the test is negative thypus but he have TBC and die 3 day later
She did so well, although she was so terrified. She is just gorgeous. I am a big cat fan. I have a male and female Siamese, unique to say the least. I know her humans must absolutely adore her. Great job Kitty and Vanessa.
I love the stages of drying - first the rage cage, then belly-up in your lap, then on the table looking five times bigger due to the floofiness factor. Her humans clearly do put the work in on her coat and she's completely accustomed to it.
Greta was well behaved considering it was her first time with you. I'm glad she was as soft as she looked, it means her owner takes care of her.
my cat will cry and tear all way to the vet and then behave very well for the vet and everyhone else but me she will just cry and bash.
This channel is better than the U.N.
Her little face tufts sticking out the hoodie were too cute
I'm really impressed with this cat. She settled down beautifully. She was super chill after the bath finished, and she seems to have been enjoying it, even if only slightly, near the end!
The transition of her in the rage cage to her in your lap for the blow dry 😭 precious bean
My cat started zooming when Greta started crying, like he's looking for the cat in distress 😅
My cat came out of the bedroom and gave me a very quizzical look.😺🤤
I have to watch videos here with the volume either WAY down, or with headphones on, or I get two very upset and confused kitties demanding to know where the sad cat is* 😸
* and maybe whether they should also be sad - the two of them manage to whip themselves up into shared trauma over absolutely nothing:
Him: *accidentally steps on something or tail wafts something that makes a noise* OMG!
Her: OMG WHAT IS IT AHHHH *jumps*
Him: OMG WHAT IS SCARY AHHHH IF YOU’RE SCARED SOMETHING MUST BE SCARY I’M SCARRRRRED! *runs and hides*
😹
Whenever they meow like that my heart breaks. Could be a Blues Song in that story, "The Bathing Cat Blues".
I loved how she just laid on her back and let you dry her. That's a lot of trust right there.
Greata is so well-behaved!
Greta is a beauty. The story about Kaz was so sweet. I know how hard it is to give up an animal for their own safety. We love them and so do what is best for them.
Greta did extremely surprising well for her bath and grooming. I've never seen a cat be more chill.
What a beautiful sweet cat! I don't doubt her owners have a lot of upkeep on her coat. It looks like they take really good care of her, especially with how few matts she had and how tolerant she was with brushing. She's a pro!
they probably have to brush her every day, probably more than once 😳 even my medium haired cat needs to be brushed daily to not get matted so this would be super difficult. i’m not surprised she had a little bit of matting
she’s so tolerant of being brushed that they gotta do it all the time
Very impressed by this groom! All this hair to brush and the cat is so quiet. OMG! well done you. She definitely was in confidence in your hands 🥰
What a beautiful floofinator! Her long cheek floof is the best
This cat does have beautiful fur! And she behaved very well for all that brushing. It must be satisfying to send home an animal that looks so lovely after you have worked on them. I love your videos!
that cat looks like a literal queen!❤
@@parryyotter sometimes the owner is just an asshole
@@parryyotter thats exactly why I said used to
It was awesome to see recently some info about temporary pet support programs like Lost Our Home (Arizona USA) that are helping people in situations such as temp homelessness or having to shift for a while to somewhere that doesn't allow animals, so they have more options and don't have to automatically give up their pets?
Very patient and calm cat for the first her grooming. Amazing! 😊
It looks like she was listening to your words. And stayed in place. Incredible!

Vanessa: "I got to get all the soap out though".
Greta: "Why? Why?"
😂
Cannot unhear lol
What an unexpectedly very sweet girl!! Her laying in your lap for the blow dry was too precious!! I’m sorry you had to part with your kitty but it was absolutely for a good reason, and I’m so glad you get updates on him!!
What a good lady Greta was, she’s gorgeous and very good about the indignity involved!
Love this kitty (we have two big boys now, 14 lbs each). She is amazingly calm and her sitting upside down on your lab with the dryer on is incredible! And so funny.
I'm lucky we're near two super great cat groomers, they're hard to find.
Nice job Greta and Vanessa! I think the cuteness overload was Greta in her happy hood staring straight into the camera. Her magnificent eyes unobscured by face fluff.
Persian/Himalayans are my favorites. And the ones with any tabby stripes on the face are the best! And she is no exception! She is also gorgeous!❤️
That is one beautiful cat 🐱 and she was well behaved too! Great job, Vanessa!!
Greta is stunning! Also a sweetheart. Loved hearing your story about Kaz. Sorry you had to rehome him, but more important he stays safe. I love Greta's lynxy muttonchops, too. Striking!
What a gorgeous cat. The little pink cap is keeping her relatively calm.
Greta was very sweet. You’re so great with animals.
That was so lovely to watch! Greta did such a great job of being a good girl and you did a wonderful job on her. Thank you for being so kind to this beautiful girl, she came out looking amazing! I didn't know about shaving their bum and paws and now I want to do that for my cats! :O
Your patience for all your clients is a gift.
What a gorgeous fluff muffin!😊🐱
She was SO well-behaved! 💕
Greta the kitty is SOOo well behaved the WHOLE groom!!! And she seems really sweet; obviously beautiful. Great job owners & Vanessa!
Her "no-meows" made me laugh. Very well placed, like she was answering to you
I’m surprised you didn’t name your second channel “Girl With The Dogs And Cats” or “And Friends”. But I’ve been obsessed with watching your videos for the past couple weeks. I love that you found an alternative way of making money so that you can help animals (and their peoples) by giving them grooms many desperately need. 🥰 And extra bonus is how much I’m learning! Thank you for everything!
She was looking pretty good when she came in... and AMAZING when she left! ❤🐱
Wow, what a gorgeous cat! This is the first one of your cat vids that I've watched -- I expected her to give you a lot of trouble, and instead she was very good! Guess she knew she was in the hands of a master.
Such a beautiful cat!!! Her hair looks so soft and silky, so I can only imagine how it feels ❤
What a sweetheart and a wholesome groom, great job 💜
What a very well behaved, very patient little fluffball! Maybe she could come teach my 14 year old tabby some manners……… He had to go to the vet a few days ago for a senior check up, and ended up having to wear the cone of shame during his visit because he would have none of it!
She's a beautiful cat!
One long haired, soft, fluffy calico and one short haired, sleek, "house panther" black cat
lol void boy
Greta was an absolute angel!!! Such a beautiful girl!❤
What a lovely client. She's beautiful and so tolerant, I never saw her reach her "limit". I especially love your cat videos. Thanks
Such a chill fluff ball. She was great! ❤
What a beautiful kitty. I love the color of her fur and it's so thick. Greta behaved so well and, thank God, she didn't try to escape from 'Alcatraz' 😂 Well done Vanessa! 😊
What an adorable kitty! Such a good girl and super cute in the Happy Hoodie. :)
I'm surprised how well she took the tangles. If I snag a tangle when brushing my cat, she's done for the day 😅
Gosh, thats a LOT of floof to groom! She is a beauty
What a gorgeous baby! And so well behaved.
She’s so cute and fluffy omg
Loved the way she was watching you as you shaved “down there”.
I loved listening to you and watching you groom this cat! It was so nice. I could just feel her soft fur.
Greta did such a good job! Beautiful girl!
What an amazing kitty! Such a sweetheart and sooo pretty.
