WOW! What a great little video! Thank you for the kind credit you give me in the video and the reference to my website. In just 4.5 minutes, the video covers a topic that usually takes me 45 minutes to deliver in a typical presentation. That’s a 10 productivity factor and the clever graphics make the message wonderfully memorable. I especially like the one about injecting sustainability into company DNA. Beautiful! Bob
+Emma Mcguirk Hi Emma, good question. Unfortunately, I can't think where I got that from. It is a common phrase in the world of sustainability professionals though.
There are costs associated to turnover (cost of recruiting new people, cost of training them, less work done during the transition periods while new staff get fully efficient, etc.) so reducing turnover also reduces costs.
@@damini2468 Also, I recently spoke with a neighbour who owns a small business. She's sooooo tired of training new people that it seems to be draining her of the enthusiasm and passion she used to have. So there's a social (mental health) cost to the higher ups in small businesses, as well.
Very good question! Important costs are associated to recruiting new employees (posting, selecting, interviewing) and also to bringing them up to speed and to full effectiveness in their new position (adapting to the organization, its history, the new job, new relationships, etc).

Hi, I was just wondering if you have a reference for the quote "Managing for today while preparing for tomorrow"?

Great job
Thanks!
Hey,
Can you please explain how does reduced turnover act as a benefit to the business ? Please help with an example
There are costs associated to turnover (cost of recruiting new people, cost of training them, less work done during the transition periods while new staff get fully efficient, etc.) so reducing turnover also reduces costs.
Makes sense , thankyou so much.

Your voice is intoxicating. You have an amazing accent. French accents are the best
How is reduced turnover a profit?

Sorry Latka I can't make out two words you're saying.
Sorry to hear that. Feel to hit the "CC" button, that's what the subtitles are for 😊
