This style is so cute! I love your design for Athena! I loved the symbolism where Ody and Athena are talking, when Ody grabs her hand with both of his. Really shows the love that is still held between them.
firstly, the hug between telemachus and ody will ALWAYS make me tear up. the emotions on their face… i also really like how you introduced athena, and how ody looked younger for a bit during the quick-time dimension. a very bittersweet goodbye
Thanks for noticing (I don't think it is very noticeable that Odysseus was younger at the beggining of that dimension thing)! Mostly did that because his voice turned higher pitch, which sounds like younger him.
The swirls transitioning from color to darkness and then manifesting into figures is so incredibly cool! The silhouettes later on are just as impactful and make the storytelling here so strong, also, the droplets becoming a scroll is so beautiful and artistic! I'm saving this one in my EPIC animatic Mega Compilation 🔱 playlist for sure.
This is the first ithaca saga animatic I've seen since the livestream, and I must say I love your take on Odysseus with Athena again. The way he smiles at her and holds her hands after she tells him about the world they might be able to have. And, while it won't exist for Odysseus amymore, he truly wants her to go make it happen- vs the official animatic where he's distant from Athena & seems as though his love for her as a friend/mentor isn't there anymore after his quest for Penelope. 10/10 animatic. Love your style :D
Tysm! I watched the livestream animation before animating Athena and Odysseus and I thought that their friendship couldn't be tossed away that easily. Mostly looking from my experiences. Sure, a giant fight happens, but after some time, both sides cool off eventually. Sure, it may never be the same as before if you don't work on it (like these two didn't) and it might be horribly awkward, but I am pretty sure that the two know would still value some of the memories they had of eachother. (I am not saying that the livestream animation is bad, this is simply my personal take on this)

The baby was dropped multiple times and we as well taped it's eyes shut because it kept opening them when she lifted it up in the air. :)
Bruh, when Odysseus tells Telemachus all he'd do for him... he actually did it. He didn't die but went to the underworld, he caught the clouds and storms, twice.

This is my favourite song from the Ithaca Saga but i've been trying to avoid it because it gives me too many feels, and yet eeeeeeeee I couldn't help it I had to see this! You worked three days straight? Mad respect! You did a wonderful job! Now go rest!
The way you capture emotions is so beautiful, and your character depictions are so cute! I love your take on how Telemachus thinks back on how he’s wondered about Odysseus, and the scene with Athena was so tender! Amazing animatic! ❤❤❤
I honestly thought this was going to be the first song of the Saga or at least before they fought the suitors for a bit. And while this dose work well were it is, the if I have the strength like you would have worked really well because in the Odyssey Telemachus dose manage to string the bow but dosen't shoot it because his father signals for him not to and also it's still to marry his mom which he forgot about. And I find Athena's talking about being kinder and leading him astray and talking of world peace is really interesting because when rome takes the Greek Gods when Athena becomes Minerva she loses the aspect of war become a more tame godess almost like she's been trying to work for peace and isn't seen as a goddess of war anymore.
1. As a person who never read Odyssey (and only knows small snipets of information I know that happened), I thank you for that fact. 2. Also it never occurred to me that Minerva did become more peaceful during Roman times. Despite being a goddess of wisdom and war, I did mostly focus on the wisdom part.
@@Mary_Studiosyes, it does make your point. Also, for us Iliad, Odyssey and Aeneid were completely thrown out of the curriculum, but our teacher made us read only some snippets and learn the most important info about them just for us to have some basic knowledge about it.
I totally agree! I felt like dying at some points while animating this song and it may become less understandable to some people whom I cannot explain what is happening face-to-face. Alas, I forgot to fix some stuff that even bothers me xd
