I like how you covered alot of different information and overview of every model. Well done. Would have been interesting with the Glock 24 in there as well
Great video my friend, I see the g23 did well on the accuracy, but remember if the light was still on there it aided to the guns accuracy due to the xtra weight. I also noticed the guns flip a lot when you shoot them, you need a more firm grip using the downward hold with one hand and the upward effect of the other hand. Go watch Lenny Magill talk about the combat grip or listen to Rob leatham talk on gripping the gun. Watch Hickock45 how the gun does not flip, even when shooting power full calibers like 44mag.
Thx! Grip is one thing I've been playing with for a while and one of the hardest parts to get right. There are so many philosophies about grip. I'll check out Lenny and Rob.
Just recently took some round files to a G27 gen 2.5. A trigger guard undercut makes it much more ergonomic and comfortable as does Pearce PG-2733 pinky extensions with the top lip shaved off to stop pinching. Thank you for verifying that my threaded G23 barrel (same G22 length) should give almost 100 more fps to Underwood 200gr Hard Cast. All that, plus a 9/16-24 KAK compensator for faster follow-up shots against lions, and tigers, and bears, oh my! My reason for .40 is being "Woods Carry Ready!"
You’re almost there … Glock 23 with a light and Glock 22’s 15round mags for home, and a Glock 27 with the Glock 23 barrel, 9+1 loaded Glock 27! Mag for easiest concealment, and a back up Glock 22 mag for carry 😜🤪😎…
Respect, when you can buy the whole 40 cal g lineup, you know money aint a thing! Im getting to that point too where I'm getting reckless with my purchases, but you can never have too many.
Good video. LEO Glock trade-ins are everywhere these days, especially 22s. 40 S&W is a good round but, in my case, I prefer swapping barrels out to SIG 357. My Glocks are truck guns. They're perfect for that. My EDCs are P365s. Subscribed, bell rang, commented, liked, upvoted, shared .... may the algorithm gods smile favorably upon your channel.
Definitely take a dremel ,undercut trigger guard, also took off the finger grooves..then added a gen 3 talon grip....she is very comfortable in my hand and.improved my follow - up shots dramatically..
I appreciate all the work you put into this video 🤙 I’ve been wondering how much velocity is lost with the subcompact models of Glock. (Specifically in .40)
I'm disappointed to see my Glock 27 loses so much velocity! It would be interesting to see the velocity of high dollar 180 grain ammo such as Federal HST, or various other high dollar ammo. It would be interesting to see 165 grain self defense ammo tests, and if they make even lighter rounds, those too. Honestly though, 180 grains at 900 fps can put a hurtin' on somebody. Good vid, thanks
Glock 27 is also a pocket carry pistol and at 7-15 yards as good as G23. I don’t trust my glocks with age, over 20 years on one and have gone to a Smith & Wesson 4006 with 4 inch barrel and all metal hammer fired, 11 rounds + 1. California and Colorado State Police used these for years and I was fortunate to find one new in box. IMHO only revolvers age well, so I never am far away from one.
Some of the guys at the club still carry their revolvers and shoot them regularly. One guy still shoots a S&W Model 1891 (I know not a revolver but a single shot .22). That thing is super nice.
Get a glock 43x or a glock 48 and do the shield arms mag release and get some shield arms 15rd metal mags and it'll blow that p365 out of the water, especially once it has nights sights!!! I know it's upgrades required, but either are also some of the cheapest glock!!! Once the night sight and shield arms upgrades are done there's not a better carry vs firepower for the size out there!!!
A Glock 23 barrel will fit a Glock 27. Lighter weight bullets gain more velocity from longer barrels than heavier bullets, but also lighter weight bullet lose more velocity in shorter barrels than heavier bullets. You will see more velocity difference between barrel lengths with lighter weight bullets. The Glock 27 magazine has the same spring as a Glock 23 magazine, so a plus one magazine from Glock remains reliable and gives a 10 round magazine. A Glock 27 with a Glock 23 barrel and a 10 round magazine is still lighter weight than a Glock 23. The dual recoil models gain better control with the dual recoil spring and the single spring models use the same spring as the 9mm Glock models.
I heard G17 mags work for the G22 on the 9mm conversion and I think G19 mags for another one just can't remember which one but look into the G17 mags for the 9mm conversion on the G22
@@WoodsDog that's the one I was thinking of. Also, glock speed loaders surprisingly work on S&W SD40 mags too...just found that out earlier today. Not sure if im late to that party or not but letting you know that works just in case you didn't know or never thought about it
@@corylewis1639 I always assumed you needed specific S&W speed loaders. Thanks for the tip! It'll be useful as I know tons of guys that carry S&W but have Glock speed loaders.
That's a tough question. It's tougher to conceal but people have done it. It depends how you dress, comfort, where on your body you carry. Winter time in colder climates some people switch to larger pistols since it's easier to conceal with jackets. I'd look up people who cover conceal for that one or a similar sized pistol.
Any time someone says a glock is ugly my first question is, "are you going to make out with it?" Guns arent supposed to be pretty. Choose a gun for functionality and reliability. If it looks cool that should just be a bonus.
@@SojournerNX The .40S&W is just a shortened and weakened 10mm round. It was created for people with weak gun control. Makes zero sense, when you can just buy a 10mm and run what you want.

@@TooManyChoices1 .40S&W is a shortened, weakened 10MM round. There is no point in wasting your time with this caliber. You can just buy a 10mm and shoot weak rounds or rounds that are more powerful than .357. This is why .40s are hardly sold anymore.
@@chaseme9860 Yes and no. I don’t know of any subcompact 10mm, or of any 9mm that will get a 180gr bullet up over 1000fps in a compact frame size… but hey, to each their own. .40 is compromise those frames can usually fire 9mm and .357 SIG with just a barrel swap🥴…

I agree. I have a laser/light combo on my 23 with a 357 Sig conversion barrel. Shoots like a dream!
Excellent; thanks! I’m not a Glock fan boy however I did purchase the 31 and 23 then added extra barrels. It’s a great system.
