You will have to try both ways and see what's better for you glittering on or off the cup. I highly recommend wiping the whole surface and work area with an anti static bag or a baby wipe to cut down on static. And always glitter darkest to lightest.
We’re ready but Mother Nature keeps teasing us..we’ve been getting random snowfalls for the last month 🥶😤....luckily it hasn’t been too bad in Toronto. Summer Tumblers here we come!!🤞🏾🙏🏾
I test cut each material until I get the right setting then I mark what worked on the package.. what works for me won't work for everyone most people say cut on washi this has yet to qork for me on any of them, on my machine for that paper I used the paper minus setting, for one of my others I use regular vinyl and a 3rd cuts best at vinyl minus.... to test cut I make a 1/2 inch or so square and a 1/3 inch star put the star in the square and cut on different settings until I find the one that's best for my mat/blade/machine and it wastes very little material to test cut this way.
What side do we cut on? Want to be sure before I start. It looks like the stiff side is the backer? Or is it the same on both sides? Ugh I can’t tell for sure
Rae how do you & others print your burst designs.. I got some designs after watching your video and some of the double sided paper. I have a Cricuit and can’t print it from there. So not sure how I will print it.
Upload the svg version and cut it and if you want a copy to color change cut to draw and use a marker instead of the blade. Not print draw. I will try to do a video if I can for the next one!
One of my fantastic viewers now friends sent them to me from Amazon. They actually had a shipping mistake and I have a bag of 60 and the 100 count set.... There is a tumbler coming up using them soon!
That is so beautiful! What a great way to make a tumbler. I'm actually doing my first double-sided tape tumbler today. Nothing anywhere near that complicated. But I really like the look it offers, and I'm anxious to see how it turns out. Thanks for another very helpful video.
@@RaesTurquoiseTurtle I attempted mine yesterday. FAIL! I think it was largely the Hobby Lobby glitter. It would not stick in between the pieces that were already stuck. I think I needed extra fine glitter. I tried spray adhesive over it, but soon figured out that wouldn't work. So I put it in a bag until I get a chance to strip it. I spent part of today clearing my table and vacuuming all the glitter that got everywhere. hehe. I'm seriously considering putting a small table in my whirlpool tub and doing all glitter work in there, so I can just hose it away. Anyhow, I'll try again when I get some different glitter.
I use my epoxy in a sealed off room, just like any other epoxy you should use proper ppe and do what works for you. Would I use it in my kitchen no am I comfortable using it in my craft studio yes.
I have a craft room but I do most epoxy out in the garage. So what about heat? Most epoxy-resin need room temps of 70 or above. Is that true for Artistry?
I’ve had some tape for quite some time now but am terrified to try it yet. Have you tried glittering forest and then applying wrap? I wonder what’s easier. Beautiful tumbler Rae.
I think it looks amazing also! I've been watching videos to get some guidance before I attempt my first one. What would you do different next time? and do you have any suggestions about how to make the best seam area? I did a double sided tape serape tumbler and that was my worst area. I can't figure out how not to get random glitter where the seam is.
I will never glitter another one on the cup applying it to vinyl and glittering flat like the other ones I've done since this one is so much better for me. And it's allowing me to get a much better seam.
Look great!! I'm in the same boat as you, I live in Connecticut and it has been snowing all day. I have been wanting to use epoxy so I wanted to ask how you ventilate your room from the epoxy. Thank you.
I personally don't worry about it to much I just keep the room closed and sealed off go in do what I have to do and walk away and if I'm working heavy I run one of those dual fans blowing out. I find the small amounts we general work with not terribly unhealthy and I switched to almost exclusively using fast sets so the level of toxic fumes is drastically reduced overall....
I love this burst tumbler 🥰 it came out so beautiful 😍 and the glitter colors are so bright and it goes perfect with the picture. Awesome 👏🏽 job. I’ve never used a thick viscosity epoxy, so I wanted to ask is it better a thick one with lots of glitter or does it make a difference? Thank you 😊
This is so pretty!
Thank you!
Sencillamente hermoso
Love love love this.
Thank you! I like the one for today's video a tiny bit better and one I am doing for next week 😍
Beautiful so I purchased some templates any pointers you have would be awesome

And my only doing 1 to get a visual I can use the same sheet several times for different color sets
Thanks for the tutorial! I loved this design so much I bought it and made one for myself. It’s on the turner now with its first layer of epoxy.😃
Oh how fun! My sister got this one even though she really prefers the 30 ounce cups!
I love the colors you chose. It turned out beautiful. Thanl you for linking my shop 😊

Wow! Absolutely Gorgeous🥰🥰🥰 Tysm for sharing everything you do and how you fix any lil problems that arise. 😘
I try! Thank you!
Looks great! I love that blue you used for the background.
Me too! 💙 it's so pretty the next one up has 4 its pretty personal blue glitters 🤷♀️🤣
Love it I got the same design waiting on my paper to come now
Oh yay it's such a fun template!!!!
Es hecho con pagina doble contacto
So beautiful!! Thank you for sharing 🎉
Thanks so much! 🦩🌺
Do you have to seal them before epoxy?
Yes I spray with clear spray to seal
That turned out great!! Love the glitters together 🤩 So their fast set gets a 👍??
So far it does its really thick so it goes over glitter really nicely!
What setting are you using to cut the double sided adhesive? it keeps cutting all the way through.

The Shape tape? It's the same on both sides ! That's one of the features I really liked!
So when you buy a template which is the best way to upload that into your cricket
You should be able to upload them directly as an svg into cricut design space and size and cut from there.

Where can I find images like that to make me a cup?
Etsy there's tons of them....

Thank you but how do you do the full wrap ? The cricut doesn’t cut that size? I am probably making this way harder than it is.
I think it looks fantastic!! I wanna try it but so scared.. can't get my cricut air 2 to cut the correct size..
What's not working right maybe I can help I should have hand trimmed the bottom of this one off when I cut it down to the right size...
@@RaesTurquoiseTurtle it just keeps saying to images are to large..
Okay that's freaking gorgeous!! So beautiful!!
Sidenote: where'd you get that big ole bag of markers 🤩🤩

Yes

Rustoleum 2x gloss spray
