That looks really sharp!
I Like this ❤️️
Got one, love it!
Which model did you go with?
@@northridgenation I went with the EVO Sport on the Gladiator. Initially I wanted the Adventure, but due to availability I ended up with the Sport. All said and done, I’m glad I ended up with the sport.
I seriously considered a RSI Smartcap for my 2016 Colorado. I ended up going with the RLD Designs stainless steel canopy. In hind sight, I wish I would have gone with the RSI Smartcap. The RLD experience was not too good for me. I also heard the RSI caps are going to be made here in the USA.
I didn't see any lock washers included and I have watched videos of these caps that have had the bolts rattle loose, I would definitely use some lock washers and locktite during assembly.
Loctite is a good idea and then you wouldn't need lock washers.
It looks really good, like it was made by Jeep for the gladiator. And i like how strong it is and it's features. I wonder how much weight it adds?
Right about 170lbs depending on model and options.
so looks like it is fairy easy to assemble this by your self
Yes, very easy.
Hey there, thanks for the video. Did you just not show putting the seals between the roof, side and end panels? Or are the pre installed now? Thx
Ours came pre-installed. We only needed to install the bottom-to-bed rail seal.
Great video, but how exactly do you install the bin and Kitchen? Do I need to take the cap off the Jeep or can I install while it is on the Jeep?
You can install add-ons like the kitchen system while the cap is on the Jeep!
@@northridgenation fantastic, thanks
I wonder if one of these can be used with a topper ez lift
They mount just like a regular canopy, so it should.
Hello! that´s a great canopy for the gladiator... just a question, what is the measurements of the rear window? thanks and congrats!
The pass through window or the rear hatch?
@@northridgenation The rear hatch; I want to know of my ARB Zero 73 fridge will slide out with a decked drawer system and a clearview drop slide; thanks!
Would this look good on a soft top willys gladiator? Or will a soft top version be better?
People have used the RSI Smart Cap on soft top JTs and they look pretty good. Do a quick google search for gladiator soft top rsi smart cap.
Can it be optioned as one side glass the other side metal?
Unfortunately, no.
Do you need the rails? Or they come with the package?
No, you do not need them. Though they are handy to have to help tie things down.
They come separately:

How much was the rail system?
Does it work better without it or with it?
That rail system is the TeraFlex Uinta bed rail system and it works great in combination with the Smartcap.
You can get yours here: www.northridge4x4.com/part/complete-racks/4831010-teraflex-uinta-cargo-bed-rail-system-w-tie-down-anchors
You can see our How-To video here: ua-cam.com/video/1D6GOj9JChc/v-deo.html
Did rsi fix the locks yet for cold climates?
Not sure. We look into it.
@@northridgenation Awesome thanks!
Sorry but looks like you guys put the fastener in wrong direction for the front and rear. aren't the the bolt head suppose to be showing inward so that it's easier to tighten? looks like you have it backwards in the front and as for the rear you have some reversed and some in correct position
There is no right or wrong on the fastener direction.
Yes, it would've been easier to reverse the fasteners, but this way you see the RSI logo, not the nut and washer when looking into the cap.
@@northridgenation gotcha. Thanks for pointing this out.
What is the main difference between the sport and the adventure series? And do I need more than stock suspension for the weight of that RSI? (I own a Gladiator Sport) Thank you
The RSI EVO Sport has glass windows on all sides, the EVO Adventure has double-walled stainless steel doors instead.
hi - which clamping method is better? one with the rail system or on the bed rail?
Both work great.
I ordered one for my gladiator. I didn't get it after several months so i cancelled the order and ordered a different one.
Dang, we just had a dozen of the Sport caps in stock about two weeks ago.
RSi says their Texas plant is getting real close to coming online, hopefully that means wait times will be a lot shorter.
I need RSI Smartcap a glass free, only metall (aluminium).
Reach out to our sales staff at sales@northridge4x4.com and they can help you out.
How would this compare to the go fast campers.
The GFC Topper is made out of aluminum, while the RSI SmartCap EVOa is stainless steel. Both are the same price. GFC weighs 135 lbs & the SmartCap weighs 165 lbs. (JT bed size.) Both do very similar things, comes down to personal preference and your vehicle specs.
@@northridgenation How does the go fast camper do keeping water out and dust I heard the RSI has several nuts you need to tighten.
Price for the smart cap ?
Depends on your vehicle: www.northridge4x4.com/brand/rsi-smartcap
4.5 months and still waiting for shipment. Maybe October??
Reach out to the sales staff and see if they can get you an update.
sales@northridge4x4.com
@@northridgenation I have. It is that when I made the purchase it said usually ships in 60 days, then in July it was early September, now they say October. I wanted to use it on a tip in October. now I am wondering if I will be putting it together in the snow in November. I know shipping is an issue (it comes from Africa) hope to see it sometime this year.
@@dalemcbride7299 The bigger issue is the supply. These have become so popular that the demand is super high and the factory is having issues trying to keep up.
They trickle in here 2-3 at a time and we ship them out according to who ordered what and when.
@@northridgenation I am aware of all of that. It is just frustrating being told one thing and not having it be accurate. And I know you guys are in a tight spot. it is what it is. I will hang in there and pray I get one someday.
Mine just arrived. Getting it installed next week 8 months after I put my deposit down. Delays are a bitch.
$4,195
Most people who don’t have four friends at my age 62 this looks pretty sketchy
I just purchased this item, and let me tell you the next 90-120 days per the website is going to be painful.
We hear you. We hate having dates so far out, but it is a product worth waiting for.
@@northridgenation All good my friend you guys have always been a pleasure to deal with. In addition I can't expect you to have any control over this crazy shipping environment. Your staff and service is and has always been top notch.
I just ordered mine and my local vendor told me 1 to 2 weeks until delivery. I hope my vendor didn't lie to me.
@@user-jx2rj8tz6m where you able to get it?
@@mengildeane6565 it's supposed to arrive the end of this week.
Sweet but for 4000 bucks is better be !!!!
They're well worth the price. Very well made.
Gladiators look horrible with a cap
