As a comic book fan, I sometimes get upset with these comic talks when they dont know certain things but Black Panther was partially pandering. Shang-Chi was not however because all the movies are based on the comics so 🤷🏽♂️

So they can go either way but from the spoilers it sounds like they are going with is sister.

Damn I got anxiety listening to Joe being wrong as hell on the Marvel segment. If only more people knew how it took a drastic hierarchy overhaul in Disney and Marvel brass for Black Panther to happen. Pearlmuter (sp) would not let that movie or any female led movie be made because the general thought in Hollywood at the time was, and still is, that a big budget film with a black cast is a failure waiting to happen. Hollywood is extremely bigoted on a executive level. The nerve of anyone to come in after Black Panther hit a billion in a week and pretend as if people did not have to fight to get it done.
To be fair Lion king is Hamlet by Shakespeare, which is a story told time and time again especially by disney.

Yeah I disagree. I believe that Marvel should recast the role of Tachalla because it’s bigger than just the mantle of Black Panther or Chadwick Bozeman. Also we can’t act like recasting is something new look at Harry Potter with Dumble door, Spartacus, Superman, the joker, the list goes on and on. But when we finally get a black super hero ( the only one of any real significance in the MCU) we just get rid of him? The Lion King thing is funnier because Shang Chi was def a black panther knock off but Lion King as a whole was jacked beat for beat from the Japanese cartoon with the little white lion.
