not a single stereotype in medicine is built on empty presumptions. I hated my life during my gen surg rotation but also hated it during internal medicine cuz of (death death death), obgyn and paediatrics. Loved it during family and psychiatry!
Peds is really not family friendly, unless you work in a center with peds hospitalists. Otherwise, even though the FP's and Internists are covered for hospital, the peds are still going in for sick babies, sick kids, and vent stuff.
