Simply gorgeous design and flawless execution! My favorite moment was when you flipped the underside structure: everything held together with no glue and remained perfectly flat and square was impressive. Masterful!
Fantastic use of modern and classic tools. This is the example I have been looking for on how to join the top to legs with skirts without using screws. Thank you very much.
Thank you. I appreciate no background soundtrack. I like the video, the quality of your work, and trusting us to see what you were building and how. May the Creator of the Universe continue to bless you and yours.
I sometimes watch my video again and I ask myself a question... Did I make that? Can I make it again? I can't answer for sure. There are many mistakes here and there, but if I were told to make that desk with the poor tools featured in this video, I would not try. In fact, I am not confident to remake that. At the time of making that, I thought I myself lacked a lot of skills. Now I think the man in this video seems a little crazy. Thanks for the good comment. Good luck.
Great technique and excellent joinery. True craftsmanship at its best. I've been into woodworking since retiring, so your approach and skill is very helpful. Thanks for the great video and have earned another subscriber...
wow!! It was a great idea to make a beautiful bench or desk or whatever that the people call it! It would be a very strong wood craft as well. Thank you for sharing that with us. You're a really talent woodworker.
Mounting a circular saw like that to a piece of 3/4" plywood that I supported on sawhorses was my first type of "table saw". I used a piece of 2" angle iron with C-clamps as a fence. Eventually, I stumbled across a good deal on an old Craftsman 10" table saw with a large cast iron table and it was even better for the shop, but was not as portable as circular saw makeshift "table saw".
I understand what you mean. My circular saw has 7 inch blade. I made my temporary table saw only for this desk. This circular saw is a very cheap model. I wanted to show people that a very good cut can be made with a cheap circular saw. Thank you very much for watching and good feedback.
@@mokongtv123 -- Yeah, there are some limitations when only using a 7" blade for a makeshift "table saw" like you did in this video. You lose a bit of capacity with respect to depth of cut, but for 90 degree blade angles, it is not that bad for most of the cuts that you might need to do. With a 10" blade and the appropriate jig, you can make the cuts for the grooves in the end of the legs pretty easily. I've heard that joint called a "castle joint" or even a "double bridle joint". I'm not sure what the correct name for it is though. I've been using the term "castle joint" though. www.monkeywrench.space/diy/kitchen-island-table.htm

Hello, my dear talented friend. I'm watching you as if you're hypnotic. Great projects. Great work. Artificial intelligence cannot mimic your mistakes. Because you have no mistakes :-) You do great things. I admire your desk drawer technique. Super design. I really learn a lot from you. Thank you for sharing. Nice to watch you. Merry Christmas. Warm embrace. Yours truly.....
Awesome job, it is beautiful. The only advice I would give is to make the draw face the other way like the side piece, that way it would act more like a dovetail and not pull apart when you open the draw.
Hi, Jongil. I like that way of rails jointing, crossing them one another. Nice and original job, as usual. But let me a couple of questions: 1) why haven't you also used square corner blocks (4) in order to firmly united the rails ? 2) why haven't you added a central rail between the down side rails? Is it enough as solidity and flexibility of the table? What about?......Happy New Year !!!
Hi, Giuliano. I haven't thought about the corner blocks. As you know, I don't like to add anything unnecessary. They were strongly fixed to one another. As for center rails, my desk drawer is thin and it moves smoothly. This desk is made much better than I originally planned. I was lucky. Thank you very much, as always. Happy new year, too.
I appreciate the fact that you included you mounting your circular saw to the table. Great vid man thanks !

I found your “table-saw” to be impressive and funny. So simple yet I never would have thought of it.
I love how you showed very fine skill and craftsmanship with simple tools WITHOUT the need of a table saw !

That man had a vision and a plan. He was willing to risk failure. That willingness stems from courage.
Wishing you many blessings.
