Anything can happen in this world at random. While i admire your determination and ability to plan ahead, thats a long way off. I see this is a old comment but if you haven’t already if your finances allow you should go spend a week or two in the summer.

Beautiful .... I remember the midnight sun when I visited the northern city of Inverness in Scotland back in June of 1984. We had set up our tents in a campground across from the city. Most of the fisherman on the River Ness were using two-handed salmon rods, whereby I was using my 9'3" 7 weight Orvis Advantage Plus. I even remember the streamer fly that I caught my 1st salmon on there ..... it was a fly developed in Maine called a nine-three ..... wish I had kept that fly for safe keeping, but I did keep my permits to fish the river. You are making memories, as well as recording them for your posterity .... all of ours, come to think of it. Digital cams and smart phones came way to late in my lifetime to have shared my adventures .... but I love sharing others. Take care and thanks much.

Watching this makes me think about all the beautiful places in this world that I’ve yet to see. I’m so grateful that things like UA-cam exist, as they allow me to experience the far-reaching corners that I’ll likely not get to in person. Thank you for the footage; thank you for being selfless with it; and, thank you for being willing to do all the hard work that is required in order to make these videos happen.

Awesome series Shawn. I knew where you were headed when you said you were gong to Alaska. Your episode at Dick Proenneke's cabin is a classic for the ages. You can know put a line through an item on your bucket list. It must have been magical for you to sit at Dick's desk and write. Hey Shawn
I've been following your video adventures for a while now, but Alaska is your best wildlife/scenery video. It brings back memories when I visited Seward and Denali for a month a couple of years ago. I definitely want to go back and experience the magic once again. I tell people who have Alaska on their bucket list to just do it, don't wait. It is indeed the last remaining wilderness. I know you would agree that it is an amazing experience! Thank you for your honest, hard work!
