    Thank you!!! I was LOST with the instructions that came with the lights for the remote. Your instructions were PERFECT!

    How do you add a group with one light? I have 4 lights in my room but I want to set up a new group with just one light. Help please

    • @TekToyzGaming
      @TekToyzGaming  9 місяців тому

      That’s a tricky one as the second group would have to be on a different circuit since you have to flick the light off and on to get it to sync to a group. A theoretical workaround is to physically disconnect 1 light from the socket and connect it back quickly. That should put it into the control paring mode. Otherwise you will need the app to control lights individually or as groups that exist on one circuit.

    I have eight recessed lights in the ceiling (two rows of four lights). I want to use them for top lighting for video with alternating amber/blue on each row (two amber and two blue) They are on one circuit. Can i set a scene with this remote for a one click set up?

    • @TekToyzGaming
      @TekToyzGaming  4 місяці тому

      Good question. To get a little more granular like that you have to use the app. Or it’s easier if they were on separate circuits. To sync the lights to remote you have to run on and off the lights from the wall light switch. If all go off then those will be the lights you program to a quick button.

      @@TekToyzGaming I'll try to make this brief:
      There is a "group" function on the app. but the list view on the group screen in "groups" is not the same in the standard in list view, and there is no "on/off" function to see which light is which. This software is really not well thought out.

      @bombayoysters33 you know coincidentally enough I stopped using the lumary app a little while ago and now use the Alexa app to control these lights. I can change every light individually or group them there. I tell Alexa to change my groups by voice now. Learned this much later after making this video.

      @@TekToyzGaming Oof. I don
      t have Alexa and I'm not intending to use it anytime soon. I'm sensing the remote you are talking about in the vid won't do the job.
      Thank you for your time.

    • @TekToyzGaming
      @TekToyzGaming  4 місяці тому

      @bombayoysters33 yea it won’t get that granular. At least not without some manual work like removing a set of lights and programming them individually. Then adding the second set and removing the first set. Very tedious.

    Can you use this system with a wall switch? As in, if you shut the switch off, the lights shut off. But when you turn the switch on, will the lights turn on or do you need to use the remote?

    • @TekToyzGaming
      @TekToyzGaming  Рік тому +1

      You can definitely use it with a wall switch. That’s exactly the way I use mine. I also have a dimmer on that light switch. Then I just adjust settings with the remote or app.

    Can you do it without a light switch ?

    • @TekToyzGaming
      @TekToyzGaming  11 місяців тому

      Do you mean syncing the remote and light without a light switch? You will need to be able to power off/on the light somehow to get it into a pairing mode. So I think you need a light switch.

      Hmm. Try holding the group A button as soon as you turn the light on. I literally ran and stood under the light I wanted to pair to do this pointing the remote at the light. Once you see that ceiling light flash it is paired. Took a couple of tries to get it.

    It’s all bull. You can’t even register your remote on the app in the first place.

    • @TekToyzGaming
      @TekToyzGaming  9 місяців тому

      Sorry to hear you’re having trouble. Did you get the bundle that comes with the remote or got it separately? If separately you may have gotten a remote that is not for the specific lights you have. Had someone with the same issue. You also don’t need to register it with the app for it to work. Don’t recall that being an option.
