It's not pay to win. The armor you've mentioned was added with the Iceborne DLC to help players level up faster and catch up for the DLC. It was not present at the start of the game, and it carries you only to the Iceborne content. The stuff that is paid is mostly cosmetic.

i had to quit playing the game because of the input lag. it was SO BAD.
the UI on pc sucks
I haven't met the input lag too badly. But aint the UI the worst for PC 🤣 i thought it'd be dope cuz on consol it worked well imo

I absolutely hated this game compared to Monster Hunter Rise.
I never tried rise. I wanted to, just never got around to it.
@PapaCheddar I personally think it's a ton better. It cuts out the missions where you hunt for poop and you can also get around the maps way faster.
The mounts does look like a dope mechanic. Im good with poop. The german in me craves it. Its those damn egg missions i hate!!!
