I saved seeds from last year and pre-sprouted them indoors in early spring. They were leggy and spindly but I managed to keep them alive and now they are doing so well outdoors in the garden! Looking forward to seeing what I get. So satisfying vs. buying more tubers.
@@ZuZu-gm6vz i did 5 that all came out as a dark orange single, then the one open pollination, is a large semi double orange color, with dark stems. Bloom size is about 5 across, it's my favorite so far. I'm gonna keep trying . You never know what you might come up on.
I LOVE #18. Also, I love this perspective. Dahlia digging/storing is hard. Who doesn’t love a surprise as beautiful as #18. I am going tuberless next year 😂
Love most of them, hard to choose a favorite coz to me they all look beautiful! Where’d you bought your seeds.I grow mine from seeds too but they aren’t as beautiful as the ones you have.
They all are pretty, I last year I picked up two packets at a mass discount store. Saved red and yellow seeds my plants are about 8in tall and some just sprouted. When did you start yours. I started mine April 15. I grow too many then give them to my neighbors. I'm in Ohio my the lake near Cleveland.
Thanks. There is a Dahlia called City Lights, you should check it out. Its insanley beautiful and different, the leaves are almost black with flowers has a red yellow glow about them. Just in case you didnt know... Bless.
My dahlias suck this year. They started out amazing indoors. And then I planted them out into their beds, they didn't do anything. It's been a month and I still have the same leaves as I did in April when I put them out
4:40 #12 is exactly what I'm hoping to get someday, a short purple variety ❤️🔥 very beautiful selection
Thank you so much! So how did you gather this collection of seeds? Where did you get them from?
they are all beautiful!!! thanks for sharing.

3,8,12,13,15 are gorgeous!! This is my first year growing them from seed. The tuber prices are ridiculously high. Thank you for the video!!

#3 is the best . I have lots with those yellow shaggy centers and they SHED the pollen onto everything, so Im tossing them.
Wow! They are all so beautiful. I ordered a packet of Bee's Choice from Floret but have yet to plant any. You've inspired me.
These look incredible!!! I love Dahlia singles too
They all are so beautiful, so hard to pick favorite ones ❤. 💕 them all :)

7 17 19 weeee
Love #13❤
So when you say these didn’t bloom last year did you perennialize them or did you dig them and replant?
I overwintered these in the ground, covering them with black plastic until spring. 🌱🌱🌱
17 ❤❤❤

Don't give up! My transplant bed is still very small, too. Good luck!! 🌱🌱🌱
i grew only fleuret by seeds this year.. bees choice.. i use to only do tubers for years.. i needed something new and for pollinators
Hi, Tonya,
Aren't there certain plants that are illegal to propogate due to patents? I humbly suggest noting that caveat in your posts/videos.
I ❤ Dahlia but I have never grown them.
Too hard to pick a favorite 😊
Where are yhese seeds from?
I saved these from the garden a few years ago. I don't usually make my own crosses, just let the bees do the work for me. 🌱🌱🌱
Dont get sweaty about the dahli propaganda. 😂. One of the best lines ive heard in planty youtube.
It would be easier to say which I didn’t like.
