With the counties like India having old data protection laws government should enforce stricter laws..
Latest report of cobra post and Cambridge analytica incident shows how important a data law is needed.

I am currently working in Legal department of Persistent and handling GDPR agreements.To clarify more eg If our company has an exisiting agreement with a company in europe,we make a GDPR addendum to that main agreement so that it becomes a part of the main agreement and hence the GDPR is complied.
