- On this episode, we’re joined by iconic Guitarist & Vocalist Scott WINO Weinrich. A Doom Metal Pioneer, Lifer & Legend, he’s out promoting The Obsessed new album “Gilded Sorrow” & upcoming US tour. Wino talks about the influence of Black Sabbath on his sound plus seeing them as a young teen in the early 1970s. In addition, he reveals the ins & outs of just who he is as a person, plus he tells some passionate tales of how he gets his songwriting inspiration and he shares a few of his career highlights out on the road. Known as the “American Lemmy” who takes pride in being a rebel, loner and an outsider in an outsider scene, pursuing his music without regard for popularity or acceptance, as his catch phase goes: ”If It Ain’t Heavy, It Ain’t Shit!”

Awesome! I have been a massive fan of Scott Wino Weinrich since he first joined Saint Vitus.
I was at the Spirit Caravan show at the old Hard Rock Cafe on 57th st lol -- I remember him saying "the only thing cool about this place is that sign on the wall (pointing to the hard rock cafe sign)" it was such a weird place for a live hard rock show there was no stage they were just right on the floor. I think they covered The Wizard.
