Im a husqvarna guy myself. Running the 372xp and 390xp saws my entire life i built a farmertec 372 with some upgrades last winter. The clone 372xp has paid for itself 50 times already. I grab it the same as i do the oem 372xp saws. I think with the clones if a few key parts are upgraded they are a reliable saw for my purposes. Cheap back up option for absolute sure. Fyi i do want to say your business model and structure is so similar to mine its kinda spooky lol love the content and reviews ! Watching your channel has directly validated the way i run my property maintenance and my forestry products business. Thank you again.
I keep a couple totes beside me when I split bundle wood. The good splits go up the conveyor into a wagon, the crappy or knotty stuff goes into one tote and the bark and garbage goes in another. I try not to throw anything on the ground. The crappy or knotty stuff is used in my own OWB, the bark goes into a mulch or burn pile. One other thing I noticed was you had half a tank of fuel and then added fuel to top off the tank, you then checked the oil and never put any in because there was enough in it. That could mean that your oiler isn't working correctly but it also means if you run the saw until you run out of fuel you would also have been out of oil for awhile. I try to make it a habit to always fill the oil tank on my saw first, that tells me if the oiler is working right and then I add the fuel. This lessens the chance of running the bar dry. I almost always run my saws dry before I fuel them.
Brad,it’s that time of the year again and it looks like 👍 you have a lot of irons in the the fire 🔥 as they say but the main thing is that you’re getting it done ✅ so your customers are happy 😮😊❤
Hello Mr. Brad, looks like the back up saw did the job needed, this time of year can be heck getting everything done in the shorter days, Sorry to hear the 500i is feeling blue, I hope it not to serious.
Hi Brad just Got a Chance to See your Video Great job you Need a Table Next to Where you Spit your Firewood That Way you Can Hold and Store More Rounds and just Spit More Faster 👍
If you do build another saw, would you be able to document/ video some of it like a how to or something, I think that’d be kinda cool / interesting for myself and others. Keep up the hard work Brad, only so many hours in a day and can do only so much but every little bit adds up.
I thought about doing that but I’m no saw builder and wouldn’t want to misguide anyone. I could show how I get it built but wouldn’t necessarily mean it’s the correct way
The pieces of wood are definitely dry. It sounded like you delivered a bunch of bowling pins. It is definitely firewood delivery time. I am staying busy rescuing the Uncle Benjamin's.
Did notice you tossing some knotty/punky stuff to the side - do you use that stuff or toss it? Also, can/do you make bundles ahead and store them like you do regular firewood? Love all the colors in your area - beautiful. Stay safe.
Hopefully its not like the 500 i got for free. That had a hot date with a log, a stump, and a skidder. Basically the crank one of the case halfs, EFI system, and top end where the only salvageable parts. Buying new real parts off e bay, it was near 1,400 to fix..naw thats a hard pass.. . I run a small fleet of original edition 372s and being sales stoped around 2010 there are definitely getting to be some parts now. that are far easier to get on the gray market, than thru a dealer. . I have one gray market saw ive used for testing and ive yet to kill it. It gets a steady diet of 32-1 oil mix for the trouble of being absolutely beat. Its around 100 tanks now and still going with the 52mm piston and no base gasket. thing will take your jaw off if you forget about the near 200psi of compression. . Did the 58mm no gasket to a 394 turn 395 and its torque is amazing. for a saw from the mid 90s you just have to eat your oats to be able to start the tank..
Great Video. It’s relaxing to Watch. Please more of that!
Whew…that hoodie looks like you’ve got a full NASCAR vibe goin, lol. Love your content, take care & be blessed.
Great job Brad !!!!!
Appreciate it!

I held my breath everytime the grapple & log passed over the Axis. You got a lot of faith vs. a *SMASHED* splitter :)
Morning Brad , good video .👍🏻🇺🇸🪵
Firewood season is here in Maine for sure. Nice job knocking those things off the list.
Good morning, Brad, nice video could use of equipment 👍🇺🇸
Good stuff Brad. Take care.
460 clone saw sounded really good awesome video brother
Thanks Mike
Mike that clone runs well!!! I hope he builds a couple more and does a few giveaways with em
@@willdavidsonakawd3062 that would be nice I would take one
hi there good show , getting cough after all the rain , best to all , john
try a Bungie cord around a 12 inch log and cut a checker board pattern so you cut 4 with each stroke
Our bundle/bag sales are done for the season here in WNY. Nice looking loads of wood going out!
Good day of work there brother. I was half tempted to try a saw build myself.
Maybe some day. 👍
I would do it mike!!! I hope to build some overtime.

Oh the first time at the furnace!!!!

That is a sharp Eastonmade Axis! 1:06
I love this machine.
@@FirewoodattheFurnacei hope eastonmade comes out with a hoppet feeder to hook up to the axis
would you consider putting 2 perpendicular logs in front of the AXIS as a bucking deck?

That knotty slightly punky stuff goes in a bin with other off cuts/splits. I burn that myself or give it away to friends
does the Grapple truck dump ? Im thinking about selling my dump and going to a trip axle hook lift set up that can tow a tag trailer
Sure does

What do you do with the poplar?
It goes to a mulch processor
