Yes it's a serious crisis. You simply don't tell people to stop using something without providing an alternative. Invest in alternative sources of energy and this will die a natural death. Arresting people and providing statistics for foreign organisations is not the answer. Provide solutions and the mindset change will happen.
Government doesn’t have money to invest for the people but rather the people themselves need to invest in alternative sources of energy by applying for loans… Nothing is for free in this world you have to work for your needs….
@izzydmbeat5989 So you are implying that they have financial means to by stoves and fridges but chose to cut down trees . If that is the case,then a 10 year sentence is in order with hard labour. My conviction is that we are not dealing with such people but the most neglected in society throughout Zambia's existence. .
