The transformation of the South Bronx over the past 49 years is absolutely astounding.
40 years
xd
The south bronx area in the film is unforgettable. One of my all-time fave films.
As a longtime fan of Wolfen, this video is beyond badass. Lots of love must have gone into it. Congratulations, sir!
Thanks. Wolfen is a film I discovered later in life and immediately was determined to find all the locations. Such an eerie depiction of NYC.
When this movie came out in the theater in '81, saw it with my dad n sister in Topeka Kansas. Whom ever did this vid is very slick 👌 😎!!
I was punching the air and shouting WOW at every comparison. Phenomenal vid. Thanks a million from a top Wolfen fan.
I had no idea this film existed until I happened upon it yesterday. It absolutely blew me away. The writing, editing, sound design, cinematography. Everything just knocked me for six.
Have you read the book? The creatures in it are fantastic. They simply couldn't recreate them in the time period. I think they made a great movie in it's own way but the book is soo much better.
This movie is filmed in almost all of the boroughs minus queens!
In fact I love how Staten Island is depicted in this movie! Not many NY movies is filmed there 😢
Sisters with Margot Kidder was filmed there.
I saw this movie once again this evening, after maybe 30 years and the person who’s lived in Arizona, my whole life I wondered what South Bronx looked like now. Thank you for this.
This is amazingly well-done, especially the way you were able to pinpoint some fairly obscure locations from 40+ years ago.
Thanks. Go to my NYCinFilm website if you're curious on how I found some of the more obscure locations.
one of my favorite movies. Great job on the filming locations.
This is a favorite movie of mine for decades.... finally got the Blue Ray and original size movie poster last year for my birthday. I enjoyed every second of this ....having the money to move to one of those upgraded locations would be Awesome . I subscribed here and Thank you for this .
Thank you so much for this masterpiece - i am pretty sure it took a lot of time for taking the shots... I saw the movie for the first time, a masterpiece. I heard there must be a 4 hours version but pitty has never been released. Orian Pictures should relaunch it with the longer version...
Very cool. ..such a underrated movie
If they made this film today, all the wolfen creatures would be CGI.
The idea of that makes me want to cry..... Thank God Hollywood doesn't seem to want it
Thanks for making this! I haven't seen this movie since the 80s, and I want to grab the bu ray now to fully enjoy it.
Very cool video and some great music. Thanks for taking the time to do this 😊
The Bronx was really burned out, it’s so many blocks I seen and walked past, and never knew it looked like that. It’s so different today.
Fantastic.. thank you
Thanks ! Great 👍
Well done ❤
good job!
Xcellent work as usual how bout Lords of flatbush saturdaynite fever???
When I think of horror creature features in New York City I think of 2 80s horror, this one and "CHUD" im wondering if that movie was shot in the same area.
Love this to death
awsome
I would have liked to see the church and then what is there now in this video.
You can see that at 3:46
@@gleepglop8474 I meant showing a clip that's of the front of the church and the house that is in it's lot right now. I would also love to own the two stain glass images (especially the wolf one) that is shown hanging in the windows of the church.
@@chadergeist The church was built for the film, it never really existed
@@HeatherQuinlan The outside of the church was there. The inside might be a set, but the structure was there. I don't know where you got your information from.
@@chadergeist She just meant the entire church was a fake set built in the Bronx for the movie.
