Im native and I'm at 11mm and using the ptfe tape with glass or stone single flare plugs and olive or jojoba oil. Going well! I stretch after major achievements to keep myself from stretching too fast. Using it as milestone is also spiritually fulfilling ❤ good luck and be safe.
@@dekabmyco there are plenty of people that still love their ears after they are done and you can normally shrink them again depending on how big you go 🤦🏻♀️
This makes me feel safe. Such a great guide. Thank you. I have all of my surgical steel tapers and plugs ready. Since most kit's are 14-00g, I had to order my 16g separately but it was worth it. I just want to be safe during the process. I may wait a little longer to start strenching because my ears are small a long with my lobe so I'm trying to thicken them with oil. Thank you
@@ray-v9204 You don't need a 16g taper. My ears were pierced with a 14g needle, and when I tried to move up to 12g the whole taper fit in without any real stretching. When the holes are that small your skin is still pretty stretchy.
I started stretching about 1 year ago and my left ear is at 1g (7mm) and my right ear is at 2g (6mm). I’ve been dead stretching with the Urban Body Jewelry glass plug kit and I have to say, it’s been the best and easiest experience ever. My ears have been so happy with using glass plugs, as I’m someone who is sensitive to Nickel and copper, and I have psoriasis. I always wanted to stretch my ears because I have small ears and I wanted them to look bigger, and simply I like the look. I’m glad I started stretching the proper, safest way instead of tapering like many of my friends have done. I’ve never had blowout with dead stretching. When my ears are ready, they stretch, if they’re not I simply just wait. Thank you Urban Body Jewelry for being a brand that truly cares about ear stretching and piercings in general. I recommend your brand and channel to anyone who wants to start stretching or is already doing so 🙂
Im at 3mm been stretching half size each time. Now its a whole size 4mm and ive been trying for 4months and no change im at half way tapper. How can i get it to the 4mm can u help?
April Conn make sure your ears are completely ready to stretch up, everyone’s ears and healing times are different. if you’re trying to stretch and feel any resistance or pain, stop immediately. before stretching, i always recommend warm sea salt soaks and vitamin e oil or jojoba oil massages right after. this will make the stretch a lot easier and less risk for pain or resistance. but the biggest tip is just making sure you’re waiting long enough between stretches. also remember that the bigger stretches may take more time to heal than the smaller stretches.
April Conn it took me about 5 years to get one ear to 00 had to keep going from 2g to 0g until it finally happened a few months ago and just a few days ago she let a 7/16s just slid in. It takes a lot of time. Although I think my ear probably more stubborn than it should’ve been. But expecting to go every month or two is to much in my opinion but some people might have much more elastic ears.
The stretching journey for me has been a true experience. I have loved my journey I'm at 5/8 of a inch/ 16mm, and I feel absolutely beautiful with my ears stretched.
When I started to stretch my ears I went to put the 14 in and without realizing it the taper just went right through my ear and fell on the ground, I ended up just going up to 12 because I figured that meant my ears were already ‘stretched’ a bit to 14. 12 almost did the same thing as 14 but I didn’t feel like risking anything and jumping right up to 10 on that first stretch. I’ve had mine at 00 for about 3 years now and I love them
some of the coolest tattoo work I've ever seen. Would you be able to direct me to name of the style of work on your arms (more specific that black-work?) Looking absolutely rad my dude.
I've been stretching my ears since I was 15, and now at 24 years old I'm less than 2 weeks away from reaching my goal size of 1", I'm so happy with my ears and can't wait to grow my 1" jewelry collection
I'm starting my ear stretching journey in a few days and I'm really excited!! I wanna go up to a 00g and watching this video helped me feel really confident about it
Alyssa i’ve been stretching my ears with second lobe piercings and have had no issue. however, i’d be concerned about stretching with thin earlobes. as you stretch larger and larger, the thinner your lobes become anyway. i’m afraid that if you stretch already thin earlobes, you’d be at risk of major damage. if i were you, i’d start small and take it really slow if you start stretching.
Thank you. First I loved how you said it was in our DNA and something attracts us to them. I’ve totally felt a natural connection to them. This was very informative. The thin skin info was total news to me. I honestly thought they all thin out like that. Much love. Thank you.
I’ve had my ears pierced since I was a month old. I was born at 7 months, stayed in the hospital for a month, and had them pierced right away (cultural reasons). Now, I am considering on stretching them (1. I would like to experiment. 2. My ancestors did it and current family members have them.). I would go to 8G or 6G. Right now I wouldn’t go to 4G or 2G because I’m not comfortable with it right now. Maybe in a few years I’ll go to a 4G. But as an 18 year old, I’ll play it safe.
Thank you so much for this! My friend who (I thought) was really knowledgeable about stretching told me the tiny tears that leaked the clear/yellowish liquid were normal so I only waited a month and a half between sizes, I'll definitely wait 2-3 months now
I love stretching my ears so much. I originally started doing it when I was 13/14, because I wanted to be a “scene” kid, and the guy I had a crush on had 1” ears. I started with tapers and acrylic jewelry. I didn’t know anything about the proper materials to use, how to clean them and care for them, and the process of stretching properly. I took me 4 years to reach 00g because I had so many blowouts from stretching too fast or not cleaning them or using the wrong jewelry and trying to force it in. 8 years later and I’m finally at 14mm, and my lobes are finally starting to look healthy. After I discovered dead stretching and how to properly care for them, my ears actually started self stretching. I hope I can get to 1” or at least really close. So many people I know hate them or think they’re gross, but after doing it for so long it’s become part of who I am and I feel such a connection to it.
I've had my ears gauged for over 10 years you get it man it's a connection to The Human Experience one family all across the world hopefully peace will reign one day soon happy holidays
I’ve been at a 2g for 4-1/2 months I tried to go to a 0 yesterday but my lobes were really sore and burning so I went back to a 2g. My lobes are still sore should I downsize to a 4g or just keep on massaging my lobes for 10 minuets a day?
Helloooo ! :) I'm sorry for my english, I'm french ! So, I have 9mm stretch, I don't make them in the right way, and I want to keep them out to close my lobes, to, after that, stretch again, with good method... do you think that my lobes can be thicker after that ?
Actually, any time you stretch your ears it's creating tiny tears, however your body handles very small tears and larger ones differently, when the tears are in the low micrometer range, normal healing occurs and your body generates brand new skin tissue in an irregular pattern like the rest of your tissue, as the tears get bigger, the gaps can no longer knit together easily and your body uses a special process to generate brand new skin which will be more regular and therefore less elastic, eg it will scar, and this process tends also to generate less new tissue than the amount you lose so your ears thin out. Think of it like a body builder, as you work out you create small tears in your muscle and the body fills in the gaps and your muscles grow, overdo it and you do more damage than your body is able to repair so you lose tissue and your muscles shrink!
I wish I had not reached 00g in 6 months, especially because I started at an 18g. I haven't stretched in over 2 years now. Here in about 6 months I plan to start stretching in (I want to go to a 1/2 inch and see if I want to go bigger). Thankfully, my ears are no super scarred and are much healthier now. I'm very lucky that my body heals piercings and other wounds with minimal scarring.
i really wish that when i had first started stretching(10 ish years ago) there was more knowledge out there like this video. i think thats a big reason why a lot of us have such thin ears. this video is awesome though and i love buying jewelry from you guys!! :)
It can also help if you can find an “in between” size, like in most kits it’s 14g to 0g, but the 2 mm between 2g and 0g are huge. I’ve been using in between sizes to lessen the stress on my ears
Great information. I was pierced at an 8g or 3mm. I waited just shy of 7 months and stretched using spirals to a 6g or 4mm. Spirals were suggested to me, saying it was a healthier, smoother process. Cleaned my ears with warm water, applied jojoba oil and went for it. They went it very quick and easy. My left ear took slightly longer to get the spiral all the way. But I didn't stress my ear. Each time I pushed in, it was practically effortless and nearly pain free. I tend to be smart and give myself a month or so before going up to a 4g or 5mm. I'm current using acrylic screw on tunnel's, but I also have stainless steel plug's which I may or may not use. These videos are very helpful and I've already got advise from a friend who's at a 0g.
@urbanbodyjewelry SO I stopped at 2 several years ago, I recently started growing again but went back to 14 to be safe. Didn’t find any tightness until I hit a 6, should I do this the same pace as when you start fresh? The 6’s are already loose so I’m eager to try a 4 to seat properly. Thoughts?
How do u clean them everyday and moisturize them what are the proper things to use? Can u go swimming with them? What materials are best? I really like the wooden ones I have always wanted to stretch my ears but have been afraid I don't know anyone who has guages
I want to stretch/ grow my ears but I have sensitive skin. My lobes have been pierced for years but they still experience irritation when I wear heavy earrings. How would you recommend I start my process? Is it different from someone who has average/normal skin? @urbanbodyjewlry
weird that he says 2 months i just got my ears pierced not even 3 months ago and im already at 4 gauge as of today, and it didn't hurt putting them in, why is it that my ears stretch so fast? i havent skipped sizes either.
me too! i got them pierced 24th march and i am now am at 0g with no pain or discomfort. i am gonna slow down now and let them heal longer (i didn't skip any sizes either)
Roman it's fine to do that don't buy into the crap "Oh wait 3 or 4 weeks before stretching" sometimes yes but it depends on how quick your ears heal everyone goes by 3 or 4 weeks because that's how long it takes for most peoples ears to heal my ears heal within 9 days and they are ready to stretch up so just make sure your ears are healed first once you get too bigger sizes you'll want to wait way longer i'd recommend waiting longer now that your at 4G cause you risk getting a blow out if your not careful
you could, but they mainly only sell acrylic tapers. id reccomend ordering implant grade "surgical" steel. it costs a little more but it will help in the long run!!
Man..if only back in 2008 there was this information out (reminiscing on the days I would be able to go to the mall alone with my friends..and use my allowance money on new gauges..just trying to get to a "respected/not laughable/etc" size as quickly as possible). No technique, research, or sanitary precautions- JUST ONLY the will to finally be able to fashion some sick plugs. (I swear my best friend at the time gauged her ears with the top of a nail polish-the dedication was REAL). Needless to say, many stupid and harmful (thank God I was lucky) situations could have been avoided through accessible information like this. Maybe I'm just going through some serious nostalgic phase, but I've been itching to do it all over. Thank you for providing people with helpful, accurate, and systematic process.
Idk if you will see this but I was at 10mm for 3 years and just now stretched up too 12mm i evidently skipped 11mm will i be fine since my ears have been healed for years since before stretching again or will i possibly cause a blow out?
Dumb question but everyday would it be wise to take out my stretcher to clean it or do l leave it in? I am new to stretching and want to do it properly. I'm at 14g and I've been massaging it in hot water and l put vaseline and massage that around my lobe with the stretcher earing still in it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
So I've had my ears stretched for roughly 7 years. I'm currently back to 38mm. My lobes have stayed very red in some areas even after my ears have completely healed. I only used titanium tunnels. I've been using jojoba oil and massaging my lobes everyday for about a month now. Just curious on what I can do to get rid of this redness or if it's even possible?
Hi, I don't know anything about stretching, but my earring is 16 g and I want to go up for 14g to put a bigger earring in my helix area. Can I use a taper to stretch it and after stretching it can I use a titanium earring in the stretched piercing then let it heal?.. Actually I want to put an industrial, so I want to stretch the one on my upper helix and pierce another one on my forward helix then connect the two piercings with an industrial bar. Is it okay to do that?
How come you recommend fraction of inch sizes rather than millimeters? Seems to me that metric would be simpler to understand and prevent people from underestimating the significance of 1/16" or even 1mm stretches.
I stretched my right ear to 0 g and left to a 2g. My left ear had a tear from trying to force the 0g in there too early. It bled and got crusty but healed up. I feel like I'm ready to go up a size, on both ears, since my tapers keep falling through the holes. But I'm worried it will tear and fudge up my ear. It's been about a month since the last stretch. Any reason to hold off or should I just go for it?
What about stretching cartilage like a helix area? Wanna stretch it from 16 to 14 my piercing is 3 months old.... I have a 16g piercing I want to go to 14 then pierce another one with 14g on my forward helix then connect them with an industrial and bar to make an industrial piercing, is this okay?
I have a question, and please anyone, tell me what you think. :) I have size 2 plugs in currently. I have a healed shut 2nd standard size lobe piercing. I don’t want the 2nd piercing anymore, if I continue stretching my lobes, will they eventually stretch into that scarred up 2nd piercing?🧐 Let me know what you think!! Thank you!!! :)
Some questions: Do you sleep with your plugs/tunnels in after you stretch? Do you keep them in after you stretch until your ears are healed, or should you remove them now and then for cleaning? What are some good ways to keep your ears and plugs/tunnels clean? Thanks :)
Ruby Doyle i keep mine in at all times while they’re healing, unless i feel like it’s okay enough to remove them just for cleaning, but i put them right back in when i’m done. you never want to take your plugs/tunnels in for an extended period of time, because your ears will shrink back down. for cleaning, i recommend doing warm sea salt soaks either with your plugs in or out. for cleaning the jewelry itself, just use some liquid soap and lather it on with water and rinse well and dry thoroughly.
so I just got to a gauge and the piercer put in a double flared acrylic tunnel. tomorrow I am aloud to change it to a black coated 10 gauge tunnel (same size) and was wondering how I should go about removing my plug? should I use the tunnel to push the plug out (like pushing a taper with a plug) or should I just take out the plug (if so how?) then insert the tunnel? (if so how do I insert the tunnel?)
I've been a fan of stretched ears forever! I just got them pierced last year with an 8g needle and 6g plugs, I just sized up to a 4g by my piercer Friday and I'm psyched! He said I could check in, in a month or so, I'm going to give it 2 months.
so I had never had my ears pierced but 8 days ago I got them pierced at 6g, do I only have to wait one month before I can change the jewelry out or even stretch to a 4g? my ears aren't sore at all and I salt soak them every day
So I just stretched my right ear to a 6 gauge and for some reason the ear is hurting. I waited a year to try and stretch it to a 6 gauge. Is there any advice for make the pain go down?
Tapers are a tool to stretch, they are not jewelry. Once you run the taper though your ear you can give it a few seconds and then align the jewelry up to the taper and put it in. Wearing tapers long term can mess your ears up
Hi, im doing research to start stretching, can anyone tell me if i am supposed to leave tapers in, or immediately put the plugs in the moment i get the taper through?
Hi! Been stretching my ears for awhile, I’m currently at a 0g and have done a ton of research so I’d love to help! Do not leave the taper in. It stretches it the wrong way because of the weight at the end of the taper and makes them go at weird angles. After I get the taper in (making sure there is little to no pain when putting it in and go slow to give the skin time to get used to going up a size) I leave it in for a couple/few mins to continue to allow it to continue to stretch and get used to the new size with the taper in there. After that, (if you have tapers like mine that aren’t screwed into your tunnels) you put the non-flared side of the new tunnel that you’re going to be putting into your ear, directly against the taper that you currently have in your ear and slowly push the tunnel directly into the taper so it starts pushing the taper out of the back of your ear, and the new tunnel into your ear at the same time. Make sure everything is clean and well oiled up to make it easier :) I hope this helped! If you have any other questions please feel free to ask 😊
Abigayle Chase 100%, absolutely do saline soaks while healing. use sea salt, not table salt, mix it into warm water for a few minutes for each ear. it’ll relieve pain and soreness as well as help with the healing process.
I’m a 8g and after 2 months I tried for an 8. Didn’t work. Been 4 months now and still not wanting to go in so imma try taping now. Always follow the rule if it hurts. Stop. It’s not time yet. And it’s been going great so far
i have kind of small ear lobes, i want to go to 1/2 an inch. is this a problem? my ear lobe is 15mm from my antitragus to the bottom of my lobe and the piercing is in the exact centre of one ear but a bit lower on my other one but it's not too bad i want my lobes to look nice and not thin
So I started a month ago and my ears are stretching fast I had them gaged a little in middle school and high school I seen I had a gap in both so I put my 8 gauge in went right in on left and the smallest pinch on right my question is even if I seen a gap should I wait the full month or longer ?
I have a question if someone can answer, I just started stretching last night and I put my first plug in and I took it out this morning to clean it and both my ears were bleeding, does anyone know why? Is it because I just started stretching my ears?
i know this videos old but, i stretched my ears wayyyy too fast about 4-5 years ago. i went from 20g to 6g in a week. but then i took them out. i’m stretching my ears again, however, now i know not to stretch them everyday but will i get a blowout from me doing it before?
I had a blow out about 3 years ago, and haven’t stretched my ears up a size since. I’m at a 0g. How do a prevent a blow out from happening again? I’m hoping to make the stretch to 00g in the next few weeks.
Ashton Renee this response may be too late, but make sure you’re waiting the proper amount of time for your ears to heal. everyone’s healing times are different, but when you’re getting ready to stretch next, make sure your ears are ready. check to see if your plugs or tunnels go in and out of your ears with ease, no resistance or pain. when you are stretching, especially with tapers, soak your ears in warm sea salt water and then massage them with vitamin e oil or jojoba oil right after. then stretch with your tapers, but go slow. if you feel any pain or resistance, stop. your ears aren’t ready to be stretched so you should take the taper out, and go back to the size you were at and wait a little longer.
What about when the taper go through but the tunnels won't and do you have swelling in your ears what do you do about that I'm a 8 I'm up to 8 gauge I'm trying to get to a six I got one are done but I don't have the other one. It's having a hard time what do I do about it always a lot of swollen so I put the 8 gauge back in the left ear
I put my 0g in my firsts almost a week ago. I just started my seconds yesterday, 14g. When I woke up today I have what looks like a hypertrophic bump on top of my tragus. It's not pierced, nothing else currently in my ears. I wear headphones every night to sleep, It's that why I have it? It just seems like weird timing. Everything else is ok, no swelling, pain, oozing or anything. I would appreciate advice if it is from my headphones.
I have a question, well two actually... i wanna stretch my ears but i exercise regularly so i wanted to know if i need to wait some time after a stretch to go back to the gym (cause of sweat or something) and if I need to get some "special" plugs/tunnels so it wont bother much. If anyone could give me some feedback i'd really appreciate it ✌🏽
i used to have 14g industrial piercing and i had to get it out and i replaced it with a 16g for some reason and now i want it to be 14g is it possible to do that??
my first stretch to 14g was kinda painful but i expected that and within 4 days i was able to stretch up to 12g and within another 4 days i was able to stretch my left ear up to 10g but my right one had a teeny tiny blowout but left it but then i went back down to 12g and left it for a few days and it healed nice so i went back up to 10g and it was painless and looked Much better and after 7 days (yesterday) i got my left ear up to 8g without any pain but my right ear is not having it is there something wrong with my ears? it didn’t hurt to go up to 12 10 or 8g on my left but it did for my right
I have been doing it so wrong, yikes! I'm only at 12mm (idk gauges lol) and no damage done thank god but I'll be doing it properly from now on ! Thank you so much.
My ears are stretched to a 4g and I last stretched them a couple months ago. They've been really scabby on the back of my lobes. I've been doing Vitamin E oil massages to my lobes and cleaning my jewelry daily but the scabbing/crust hasn't gotten any better. They aren't red, infected, or itchy. :-(
Quin Hartley the actual holes weren't the problem. I've been to the doctor and was recommended a cream. He said the type of material of the jewelry was causing the problem most likely. Since I've been using the specific cream, I've had no issues and the problem has been resolved.
I have a few doubts: 1. Are you supposed to sleep with your jewelry on or off? There seem to be conflicting opinions on this matter 2. I know that you're supposed to take off your jewelry periodically to clean your ears (when you're showering and when you're sleeping if 1 is true). Are you supposed to use the taper to put your jewelry back on every time or is the usage of the taper a one time thing before you put jewelry of a bigger size for the first time? Thanks a lot for the advice!
I sleep with mine in and nothing bad has happened, and No, the taper is used for the stretching, once the holes already stretched you should be able to slide the tunnel/plug in without needing the taper.
I wanted to also ask a question if anyone can respond that knows well about stretching. Are you suppose to put any oils on your ear when starting the gauging process? Or you just clean them two to three times a day until you get to 1 to 2 months of healing, and go up to the next size? Because it's only been 1 week since I started my stretching. And I'm at a 2g because over the years from wearing heavy earrings my ears were already stretched. Also I didn't know my size, when I went to the tattoo shop, and that's the size I started at.
teethglitter Nice, when I put earings in I fell like hole is to small to 'breath', I know its weird. Im asking this cuz I always like to know these stuff just in case.
ok i saw peoplecommend on videosabout skin getting thinner if you dont take your plus out in the night to rest also read bout the msell, and i wonder how do you need to take daily care of them and does the skin get thinner by leaving your plugs inor changing them a lot or is this just like a normal earringand notting happens unless you wear to heavy? i dont have plugs but i want the but i need to get repierced guz its noot symetrical and to low and then i could start but i wont go that big just keep it small i like that but before i start i would like to know about this and i would rather get it proffesionally stretched then me doing it myself since my paintolerance is high so might dont know that imdoing it to fast or something just on the safe side but this vid was pretty helpfull
then you're in your 60's and 70's ( apparently your age cap lol 😂) rocking stretched lobes unless you want to get them closed up and in which case matt did a video on as well ! ♡ There's ALWAYS options haha ua-cam.com/video/TUFKHh7uLN8/v-deo.html

Thank you
Kat Montanez where did you order your tapers I too cannot find a 16g?
You would be fine if you just went to a 14g. Honestly you wasted your money on a 16g.
@@ray-v9204 You don't need a 16g taper. My ears were pierced with a 14g needle, and when I tried to move up to 12g the whole taper fit in without any real stretching. When the holes are that small your skin is still pretty stretchy.
I found a 16 gauge at Walmart no problem
I was also pierced with a 14g needle, i went straight to 10g when my ears were healed

Andrea Calio well it will still shrink up if I leave it without jewelry for a day. And have to go back down a size.
When I 🤔 go stretch or size up i go by 1 center meter at time with glass or tunnels
I’ve had mine at 00 for about 3 years now and I love them
That's how I started too! I'm about 2 weeks in now lol how long did it take you to get to 00g?
I literally had this happen today

I've been stretching my ears since I was 15, and now at 24 years old I'm less than 2 weeks away from reaching my goal size of 1", I'm so happy with my ears and can't wait to grow my 1" jewelry collection
He seems like such a sweetheart awwweee
I’m going to stretch, and I didn’t really have anyone to help me out. This was a very helpful video, thank you
I'm starting my ear stretching journey in a few days and I'm really excited!! I wanna go up to a 00g and watching this video helped me feel really confident about it
Have fun its addictive
Ok so I am in love with stretched ears, but my ear lobes are thin. Also I have second lobe piercings too, will I be able to stretch my ears?
Alyssa i’ve been stretching my ears with second lobe piercings and have had no issue. however, i’d be concerned about stretching with thin earlobes. as you stretch larger and larger, the thinner your lobes become anyway. i’m afraid that if you stretch already thin earlobes, you’d be at risk of major damage. if i were you, i’d start small and take it really slow if you start stretching.
I’ve used your vids for every piercing I have and they’ve never failed me. Thank you sm!!!!
Mind giving an update on your journey? I'm interested to know how far you've stretched.
How’s your journey been? I started at 12g and I’m thinking of the next step of 10g goal being around maybe 00g.
I got to 7/16 and tried to get to 1/2 inch but the bump on the taper was hard to go through. So, I just sized down to 00g.
what about when you’re first starting? going from 16g to 14g to 12g and so on. do i still need to wait 2 months?
8 years to get to 5/8 ? Seems like a long time
I went like 12 days between sizes all the way to 1/2 ...if you use balm it helps it a lot.
You say start with 8 gauge is that normal? I just started doing mine and I started with a 14?
@urbanbodyjewlry
start with 16g and go SLOW. Also, use stainless steel or titanium. Acrylic is super porous and will irritate your ear.
Massage with jojoba oil
weird that he says 2 months i just got my ears pierced not even 3 months ago and im already at 4 gauge as of today, and it didn't hurt putting them in, why is it that my ears stretch so fast? i havent skipped sizes either.
me too! i got them pierced 24th march and i am now am at 0g with no pain or discomfort. i am gonna slow down now and let them heal longer (i didn't skip any sizes either)
Aiden C how long did you wait to start stretching?
Roman it's fine to do that don't buy into the crap "Oh wait 3 or 4 weeks before stretching" sometimes yes but it depends on how quick your ears heal everyone goes by 3 or 4 weeks because that's how long it takes for most peoples ears to heal my ears heal within 9 days and they are ready to stretch up so just make sure your ears are healed first once you get too bigger sizes you'll want to wait way longer i'd recommend waiting longer now that your at 4G cause you risk getting a blow out if your not careful
I love all your videos that I watch so far. Thanks for all the information, and it's very helpful.
I'm stretching out my ears for the first time. Would Surgical Steel work good for the first time or do I need another material?
So at any age (14-18) can you just walk up to like a HotTopic or plug & tunnel kiosk in a mall and just buy tapers?
Yup!
Yup!
+neglectedteen cool, ok!
you could, but they mainly only sell acrylic tapers. id reccomend ordering implant grade "surgical" steel. it costs a little more but it will help in the long run!!
Yeah of course
I've waited like 3 or 4 months and still haven't been able to size up from an 8g. What am I doing wrong?
Idk if you will see this but I was at 10mm for 3 years and just now stretched up too 12mm i evidently skipped 11mm will i be fine since my ears have been healed for years since before stretching again or will i possibly cause a blow out?
Dumb question but everyday would it be wise to take out my stretcher to clean it or do l leave it in? I am new to stretching and want to do it properly. I'm at 14g and I've been massaging it in hot water and l put vaseline and massage that around my lobe with the stretcher earing still in it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
What size do i start at if i have tinnie tiny ear holes from earrings? I dont even think its a 20 guage 😩 help pls
22g is the smallest I have ever seen but I would give 20g a go because it's less than .5 mm
I meant to say 10 gauge
Whenever I stretch my ears (1mm per month) they start producing a lot of lymph after few days during a week or two, is that good or bad?
I've been a fan of stretched ears forever! I just got them pierced last year with an 8g needle and 6g plugs, I just sized up to a 4g by my piercer Friday and I'm psyched! He said I could check in, in a month or so, I'm going to give it 2 months.
Once you make that mistake and it gets thin is it possible to fix the issue or heal it ? And get them to start being thicker again ?
so I had never had my ears pierced but 8 days ago I got them pierced at 6g, do I only have to wait one month before I can change the jewelry out or even stretch to a 4g? my ears aren't sore at all and I salt soak them every day
Crazy I actually fought this guy in kickboxing match
So I just stretched my right ear to a 6 gauge and for some reason the ear is hurting. I waited a year to try and stretch it to a 6 gauge. Is there any advice for make the pain go down?
Are you supposed to keep the tapers in? Or after a while do you put the plugs in? if so, how long do u keep the tapers in?
Tapers are a tool to stretch, they are not jewelry. Once you run the taper though your ear you can give it a few seconds and then align the jewelry up to the taper and put it in. Wearing tapers long term can mess your ears up
Dan Martin gotcha! Thanks!
Don't use tapers in the first place. Just dead stretch
Do you recommend salt water soaks while they are healing?
Abigayle Chase 100%, absolutely do saline soaks while healing. use sea salt, not table salt, mix it into warm water for a few minutes for each ear. it’ll relieve pain and soreness as well as help with the healing process.
@@kamialexis6397 thank you
Hiii I wanna know what tunnels/plugs are best to swim with? Cause I'm a fan of swimming but I also wanna stretch my ears
My friend stretched to 10mm in a month and that really pissed me off😂 damn his perfect flexible ears
H4rley imsorrywhat? it'll probably come back to bite him in the ass :p
H4rley imsorrywhat? I do to except I was able to go from a 16 to a 8 in under 2 weeks no pain now should I have? no
H4rley imsorrywhat? I got pierced at a 10g
I went from a 16 to an 8 in 2 1/2 months.
I went from 16 to a 6 in a couple weeks
I have a question if someone can answer, I just started stretching last night and I put my first plug in and I took it out this morning to clean it and both my ears were bleeding, does anyone know why? Is it because I just started stretching my ears?
i know this videos old but, i stretched my ears wayyyy too fast about 4-5 years ago. i went from 20g to 6g in a week. but then i took them out. i’m stretching my ears again, however, now i know not to stretch them everyday but will i get a blowout from me doing it before?
Okay I was at a 00, got the 7/16 and the went in perfect wiggle room and all. Is going to a 1/2 still okay?
It does not sound weird or cheesy when you said that it goes back to ancestral times lol 😆 It sounds amazing and awesome !! :))
Hey I was wondering if you can tell me when I could start stretching a freshly pierced ear
Need help I have a 2 gauge double flare tunnel stuck on one of my ear. How can I safely cut it out, what kind of cutters do I buy?
Islandgurl78 did you ever get it out?
Im late but, Ive never got my ears pierced AT ALL, and Im interested in gauges, so how do I start ?
Thanks for the tips! About to size up to 7/8”
What about when the taper go through but the tunnels won't and do you have swelling in your ears what do you do about that I'm a 8 I'm up to 8 gauge I'm trying to get to a six I got one are done but I don't have the other one.
If anyone could give me some feedback i'd really appreciate it ✌🏽
this comment is hella late but you can wear steel or silicone (once your ears are healed) since both matierals are very lightweight.
of course you can workout after you stretch just put steel tunnels in
i used to have 14g industrial piercing and i had to get it out and i replaced it with a 16g for some reason and now i want it to be 14g is it possible to do that??
I have a small keloid in back of my ear am i able to stretch anyways ?
my first stretch to 14g was kinda painful but i expected that and within 4 days i was able to stretch up to 12g and within another 4 days i was able to stretch my left ear up to 10g but my right one had a teeny tiny blowout but left it but then i went back down to 12g and left it for a few days and it healed nice so i went back up to 10g and it was painless and looked Much better and after 7 days (yesterday) i got my left ear up to 8g without any pain but my right ear is not having it is there something wrong with my ears? it didn’t hurt to go up to 12 10 or 8g on my left but it did for my right
Is it possible to make your ear lobes thicker at 1/2 and have them not go thin
Do you have to keep stretching them? Or can we find a size that works for us and keep it that way?
Stretch it to the size YOU want and how big you want your jewelry ,that the size you stop ;3
stop wherever you want
I had a piercing and it kept getting infected so I feel like gauges are not going to work for me even though I want them badly :-(.
I have been doing it so wrong, yikes!
I'm only at 12mm (idk gauges lol) and no damage done thank god but I'll be doing it properly from now on ! Thank you so much.
12mm is 1/2" (half an inch) that is my goal size
I'm at 00 and I should have waited mor ein begging. Hopefully will look good for future
I have my eyebrow pierced so how would I get a 16g in a 20g?
My ears are stretched to a 4g and I last stretched them a couple months ago. They've been really scabby on the back of my lobes. I've been doing Vitamin E oil massages to my lobes and cleaning my jewelry daily but the scabbing/crust hasn't gotten any better. They aren't red, infected, or itchy. :-(
neglectedteen stretch back to 6g or 8g so that they can heal properly. if it's still scabby they haven't healed properly
Quin Hartley the actual holes weren't the problem. I've been to the doctor and was recommended a cream. He said the type of material of the jewelry was causing the problem most likely. Since I've been using the specific cream, I've had no issues and the problem has been resolved.
neglectedteen when I stretch my ears, I get dermatitis, which sounds similar. It's really strange
this happened to me at 4g. I lathered them in vaseline every night and the dry scabbiness went away in about a week.
I have a few doubts:
1. Are you supposed to sleep with your jewelry on or off? There seem to be conflicting opinions on this matter
I use coconut oil daily, just enough to keep them moist but not greasy
@@tracey921 Okay! Thanks for the feedback, and information.
@@tracey921 What about GOLDEN JOJOBA OIL?
I skipped one size but I haven’t even hit 2g yet, do I Down size or don’t skip a size again
I started to tease my ears 2013 or 2014. My holes were then 1.2mm and now 2018 they are 12mm
If I start and stop at 14-12g would they close if I remove tunnels completely after couple years ?
MrBoyrobot12 what's the point of even stretching when you're only going to go up one gague? it will close up over a couple of months.
teethglitter Nice, when I put earings in I fell like hole is to small to 'breath', I know its weird. Im asking this cuz I always like to know these stuff just in case.
You should be fine until 0G
But everyone has a different body. If you're safe and you take your time, you'll be just fine.
ok i saw peoplecommend on videosabout skin getting thinner if you dont take your plus out in the night to rest also read bout the msell, and i wonder how do you need to take daily care of them and does the skin get thinner by leaving your plugs inor changing them a lot or is this just like a normal earringand notting happens unless you wear to heavy? i dont have plugs but i want the but i need to get repierced guz its noot symetrical and to low and then i could start but i wont go that big just keep it small i like that but before i start i would like to know about this and i would rather get it proffesionally stretched then me doing it myself since my paintolerance is high so might dont know that imdoing it to fast or something just on the safe side but this vid was pretty helpfull
Any advice for somebody stretching with attached earlobes?
What are the optics of this when you're in later years, as in your 60-70s?
then you're in your 60's and 70's ( apparently your age cap lol 😂) rocking stretched lobes unless you want to get them closed up and in which case matt did a video on as well ! ♡ There's ALWAYS options haha ua-cam.com/video/TUFKHh7uLN8/v-deo.html
ive got a question if your going to a 7/16 from a 00 do you have to use tapers
Brandon McCarthy this reply is late af but you can
PTFE Teflon taping
I think it's funny that I'm watching this when I'm already at 5/8 lol
i’ve watching so many ear stretching videos but i still can’t figure out how do i do that first initial stretch from a 16g to a 14g without tapers??
I know patients help a lot with people, with my extreme thoughts and quick to angitate moods Have everyone around me scared so I just started my journey to 00 and I’m at 10mm and it burns. No pain just burning sensation
I accidently skipped 7/16ths...and went from a 00g to a 1/2 inch ._.
Same, i just did it today😂 and now im watching stretching video
first time I stretched I went to a 6 (if I'm right on size) from a regular earring 😳 killed my ass n my ears are totally closed up now
