I stretchered from 32mm to 34mm with silicone and had no issues. I take out the plugs every day and massage my lobes with Jojoba Oil to keep them healthy and circulation. I have heard of flesh coming off with the silicone which is why I keep my lobes well moisturized. This was the first time I stretched with silicone and I'm very happy with the results.
The only time my ear blew out is when I slept with heavy plugs.

@Garbagebish lmaoo u watched n read that, n still had to ask. SMFH lol.
This is old. But if u did this take out n clean ears n put a single flair glass plug in in the right size. Let it tottaly heal (Daily Saltwater soaks 5 mins 1 or 2 times a day till not sore)keep moistened jojoba oil vit e oil or whatever. Then when better n healed put ur silicone in.. Then wait a bit n go bigger 😁

I do the same thing he does, I use tea tree oil instead & never had issues. I had a blow out once because I stretched too fast & didn’t wait. Other then that I only use silicone & never had problems. My ears are fine & I get skin here & there but nothing major. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I used silicone to go from 2g to 0g. I got a 00g set the other day to do it again. I’ve been watching these videos and have started to worry about it. I’m so anxious to size up, but also getting anxiety about using the silicone. I put them in easily with just a little uncomfortable feeling afterwards. About 5 minutes later I took them out. I was confused as to why it was okay to stretch with glass or surgical steel, but not silicone. This video was very helpful and now I’m glad I took them out.

Heads up! I recently had a pseudo blowout because I used silicone jewelry that was one size up from my 00 gauge ears that I've had for over 20 years. The problem was I had been wearing silicone plugs in my ears almost daily for approximately 6 months prior to this. After the over inflammation/almost blowout I realized that I have contact dermatitis & it is caused by silicone coming into prolonged contact with my skin. It had been an ongoing irritation that was continually happening every time I would wear everyday 00 gauge plugs. I am certain it was the silicone since I had a similar reaction on my wrist from a silicone smartwatch band/dust plug. Be wary of silicone jewelry even for everyday wear especially if you are an avid Runner or Fitness enthusiast such as myself. Just trying to save someone from the same ordeal. Thanks for the videos they have helped me restart my stretching process. 🤘👍

Okay I've used silicone for stretching my ears for the passed 3 sizes, it was never a problem until I stretched my ears from 2g to 0g two days ago. I only use these bc they are the only thing that stays in my ears, I was sick of waking up without my plugs or rubber bands. I used jojoba oil to lube up the silicone and my lobes and they went in just fine BUT today I woke up and my right lobe is *HUGE* , bloody, and oozing green and idk what to do about it. I'm afraid that if I remove the silicone I'll rip my ear even more... Does anyone have any advice on how to heal it? It hurts so bad I can't even sleep. I've taken pain meds and ice. Nothing helps.

Katelyn Monroe probably have to downsize. I had mine get swollen and keep on getting worse then oozing discharge when I was using stainless steel. I just think you might've just stretched too fast. My ears got all nasty when I went to 00. I cleaned them real good and went back to 9mm for a couple weeks. Then when my ears healed up my 00 slid right back in no problem.

SoLLUMINATI Marker I took them out completely, let my ears close and scab over (I found that triple antibiotic ointment healed the scabs quicker). I just started from the beginning, went up a size everyday until I got back to 2g. After like a week I tried using 0g tapers and they went right in! I made a couple differences though, I only stretch in the shower using jojoba oil. :)

I was really proud of myself for never having a blowout but I was having a problem stretching from 4g to 2g (which is my goal size) and it had been 2 and a half months but all of my exempts had failed so I went into Spencers and I was just looking around with some friends and I saw the lady behind the counter had stretched ears (they looked about 1 inch maybe a little smaller) so I told her that I had been having issues getting to my goal size and that I was using oil and tapers and making sure everything was clean and takin care of and she recommended silicone and I told her isn’t that bad for you because I had done my research on the best ways to stretch before I had even started stretching and she went on and on about oh no that’s just something that people tell you so you’ll spend money on tapers and so I bought the silicone tunnels and put them in when I got home and it hurt but I had figured that so I just went to sleep and thought that by the time I woke up they’d be fine. NO
When I woke up the pain was horrible and my ear was extremely swollen. It took me 20 minutes to get it out of just my right ear and when I did it was full of blood luckily my left ear wasn’t as bad it was just a little swollen I just glad it hasn’t gotten infected right now I have my 6g titanium tunnels in just to keep them from closing on me because my ears close almost overnight and I’m making sure it stays clean I just can’t believe that I trusted that lady I knew that it was bad for you but I thought it might work but I’m definitely sticking to tapers
    DON’T USE SILICONE
Yes it’ll stretch your ears but it’s too fast and it’s too much pressure

Spirals are NOT for stretching, it will cause just as much damage then wearing tapers the weight and the form is not even, their ONLY jewelry for heal ears, stone are ( ok ) if you dead stretch only but not 100% safe ,glass are 100% safe (opalite is glass, you can stretch with it if you find single flair opalite, this is not stone ,some seller sell them as stone )and for the steel plugs are good but some people have sensitive skin and react to it ,it just better doing it with glass . I've been stretching with silicone earskin style tunnels from 00 on up to where I'm at now at 9/16.
I've had a handful of blowouts, but over time I've come to realize that I only have blowouts when I'm not washing them every day. If you stretch with silicone tunnels you MUST wash them every day. This is the only way you can do this and not have infections out the wazoo.
Even if they're sore as fuck from the stretch, take them out in the shower, wash your lobes AND tunnels. Then what I do is I take a little bit of Aquaphor and rub my clean lobes with it, then put the tunnel back in.
This is definitely an improper stretching method, but if you're gonna do it, be good about it and wash and lubricate your lobes diligently.

@Garbagebish from my experience, you should probably take them out and put the smaller size in and wait a month or so until your lobes aren't hurting anymore and are healthy. They weren't ready for the stretch and that's what you're feeling.
You MIGHT be okay with the larger size if you clean your lobes constantly and oil them up every day... But then again you also MIGHT create a blowout, in which case you'll have to take them out anyway so they can heal. I know the urge to stretch quick is real when you're that small... But fuckin' trust me, if you're impatient you'll end up wasting MORE time healing blowouts than actually stretching if you rush everything.

I have ALWAYS stretched with silicone. ZERO issues. Just have to be smart and prepare. Message your lobes. Pull on them from time to time for a few. Now what I do is rub jojoba oil on the inside of my ear and on the silicone tunnel. Put it in and let it slowly pop. Literally 2-3 day heal time. But this is me. Results may vary

I’m genuinely curious how others like I are doing with our silicone stretched ears, at least 0 and below. No thinning here, no constant pressure, maybe it depends on your anatomy? Or pain tolerance? Or if your ears were pierced high enough to accommodate for stretching? Idk. But I will say adding a lubricant every day is your best friend no matter what you stretch with. Even it’s just an antibacterial gel/ ointment. Like I know these are professional PIERCERS but as someone with a license in medicine(pharmacy to be even more precise), I can confidently say silicone isn’t bad, it’s how you take care of it, and how often, which should be EVERY damn day. Again, this is not medical advice, just my opinion as someone with stretched ears in a pharmacy. I get what people are trying to say with this “no stretching with silicone” stuff, but people get silicone breast implants all the time and it stretches your skin to accommodate for how much bigger you’re going. Idk this is common sense to me but I’m seriously curious what a licensed surgeon might say

I’ve always stretched with silicone. 😬 I heard it was bad but I always had success and didn’t see the need to change. Only time I ever had issues is when I used solid jewelry. For some reason, my ears don’t like anything but soft materials. I tried those cute black tunnels with the rhinestones.. yeah y’all know the ones. Had them in maybe 3 days, hurt to sleep in and they made micro tears in my lobes. I couldn’t even put my silicone tunnels back in, I had to let them heal first and by then they sized down and I had to re-stretch. :( I guess everyone is different, and as long as you’re aware of the risks..I guess do you. I prefer to use silicone tho cuz it never hurt.
However, at my current size of 9/16, I just tried to size up with 5/8 silicone tunnels and they were just too big 😔 kept folding inward, so I’ll have to go a different route with those haha.

GoldenPrincess I would try putting tape on the plugs. PTFE tape or Bondage tape that only sticks to itself. It’ll gradually stretch them slower than tapers. Put one layer on then put another layer on as you could tolerate it till your up to a 0g then you can do that with both ears till you are at a 00g. I’ve also read that certain oils can also help like Vitamin E oil and Jojoba oil (Amazon sells it).

  • @treehopper
    @treehopper 4 роки тому

I stretched with tapers up to 9/16th, kept them at 1/2 inch for a long time, and then took them out when I started working Security. My ears stayed at 0 / 00 for about 8 years, but I wanted to start stretching again, and got back up to 1/2 inch. In total, all those tapers and plugs gets insanely expensive!!
Went on Amazon, bought a silicone set (literally 18g - 1inch) for less than $15....
And went from 1/2 inch to 1 inch in less than a year.
But I'm just now finding out about all that could go wrong, thinning ears, tearing, and I'm freaking out, but I also think I would have the same, or similar, fears if I tapered. Plus, going from 1/2 inch - 1 inch with tapers AND plugs is pretty much $200 if I go to Hot Topic or the piercing stores.
I want to go bigger, and probably will start when my Jojoba Oil is about 1/2 full, by using the bondage tape method.

Started stretching in my teens around 02 or so and After an 8 year build up to an inch i was in a car accident. The thin metal double flare plugs I had in were forced out and messed my ears up. I had a hard time healing and finding plugs that would fit the width of my fatty lobes. I had a pair of these and figured id use them as temps. Bad idea for sure! In just days They got infected and developed really bad blow outs in both lobes. Id really like to start over.

I’ve been on this journey for years to stretch my ears. I get to 4g and it’s fine, every time I’ve gotten to 2g my ear rejects. Doesn’t matter what material I use to stretch but it seems more aggravated with stainless steel which weird because is the only metal my body CAN handle, I break out with everything else. I’ve gone against advise and stretched with silicone and it worked. I’m no to 0g after finding a solution. It sucks that it’s not the right one. But hey, I have 1 more size than I’m done.

At lower levels youre only stretching 1mm at a time but the jump from a 2g to a 0g is 2mm and the same for 0g to 00g sooo 2mm is still a large jump. I had to use "in-between" sizes for both of those trasnsitions. Only commenting this because 2mm isn't "no more than" but instead standard. Still wouldn't recommend using silicone..

This is so much bs 🤣 and if you're not washing your ears youre fucking gross you deserve the bad things that come with bad hygiene.
UA-cam piercing people prob get paid to tell you to buy stainless steel 🙄
I'd say Size up with long stainless steel tapers and switch out to stainless steel tunnels to sleep and use for about a week atleast then you should be far more than okay to switch to silicone.
When your at the stage of stainless steel tunnels I like to do circled with my tunnels so the hole doesn't get stuck to piercing while it's healing and every 2-3 days you should be taking piercings out and cleaning your holes with iso and cleaning the piercings you will be putting back in as it will be crusty from the healing process and after about 1 week TOPS 2 your ear should be healed don't let these youtubers scare you.
Although if your ear is still bright red do not go to the next step in the process.
Don't use acrylic to size up don't use short tapers, don't use wood to size up either and instead of w.e they tell yall to use. Instead use antibiotic as lube to size up and stretch your ear 🤷🏽‍♂️ way better than "ear stretching palm" or w.e the hell they're trynna sell
