- I finally found a Mako shark with my drone! This brief episode was filmed in the Sea of Cortez. The area is known for Mako sharks but they are quite elusive to find.

Glad to see a large mature specimen. They are endangered. So incredibly fast and beautifully designed.
I remember when your channel just launched a few years ago! KEEP CRUSHING IT!!
Sea cheetah! Gorgeous, Carlos, and may the Sea of Cortez become a safe and protected (from human activity) place for marine life.
Would make a good shark fin soup.
There is so much to admire about the beauty and character of sharks. Your channel is so dope & I love that it is growing in popularity!! Keep it up my guy!!!
It always fascinates me how much display of energy the Makos embody, even when they're not hunting but just swimming casually, they still maintain a high pace and high energy movement that is seldom found in most larger sharks. To always be so active and paced is something to behold.
What a wonderful Mako. Thank you for your work! ❤
Beautiful footage as usual! You always convey the thrill and respect and it’s contagious!
Thank you so much 😀
Gosh I wish the east coast had water like that. That Mako gliding thru that Beautiful water is just memorizing. Thank u for sharing your awesome drone footage and your hard work
Nah, I'd rather not see myself get eaten lol
@@floridacracker_ mako sharks rarely attack humans and its usually by mistake
These videos help in a very particular way. I'm used to being out in nature and have seen wolves and bears (both black and grizzly.) Never seen a mountain lion, but have 'heard' one at nite (a very scary sound.) However - they are wild animals that I actually admire, and they have never bothered me. These shark videos remove the atavistic terror that these fish have inspired since "Jaws" in 1973. They can be viewed as simply an aquatic version of leopards or lions or what have you. Please continue to create these films.
Beautiful footage and narration, as always 👏👏👏👏
Looks like a torpedo, amazing, I used to think they resembled a great white, but you can see clear differences in body shape when filmed from above! LOVE IT!
What a beautiful moment to have! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for caring and sharing information we all need to know and act on.
I think it’s amazing in how close they look and resemble a great white
They're in the same family, Lamnidae.
@@lassenker07 thanks
So great seeing a Mako! Other kinds of sharks tend to get a lot of the focus ie Great Whites, Orcas, Tigers (especially Emma!!), Hammerhead and more recently, Whale Sharks but we don't hear much about Mako's. Thanks for sharing a glimpse of this beauty!
Orcas aren't sharks 🙈
I stand corrected! I didn't know that Orcas are actually big dolphins! You learn something new everyday I guess; thx for pointing out my error po72644.
@juliabjerre2687 I thought they were whales until a couple of years ago (killer whales 🙄) but yeah dolphins apparently
love their shape
Its so relaxing to see those beautiful creatures glide through the water
Beautiful!
That was awesome. Will that speaking on November 1st you're gonna be doing be in a video? 🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈
Congratulations on finding a bucket list item! Thanks for sharing this beauty!
Your footage is so incredible. Thanks for posting your stories.
Carlos, thank you! You inspire me with every video to think just how precious these amazing creatures are. 🦈 ❤
Ii can also see the difference between a Great White and a Mako Shark which I would never have thought possible. The Sea of Cortez is beautiful and I appreciate seeing that too. 🌊 🦈 ❤
Beautiful, thank you 🫶
Thank you! Love your videos!
What a beauty! 😍
Fecking fantastic footage! Thanks👍
Mako's have always been my favorites.
What exquisite serendipity, this UA-cam notification and your footage! Beautiful, beautiful thank you ♥️ ¡que precioso!
Sea of Cortez footage never disappoints
Beautiful footage!
Love makos! Definitely an underappreciated species, they're not as visually impressive as more popular ones but wow they're so well designed and so fast!
I get excited for new videos of this almost as much as new episodes of Kitchen Nightmares and that’s a lot of excitement 🎉
Beautiful, sleek.... 🦈 Thanks Carlos, what a treat...
☮️🍁🍂
Loved the video too , keep em coming bro
Thank you for sharing your beautiful footage of this Mako, and for sharing your compassion for the animal. What a relaxing and fascinating video!
Many thanks!
Had a Long Fin Mako take my Tuna off the Coast of The Big Island of Hawaii many years ago ,, I only wish we had cell phones back then to video it was an amazing site , after it took a chunk we hauled the rest onto the boat and started cutting it up and pretty much tossed chunks into it mouth as it just stayed around the entire time No Fear it’s eyes we’re mesmerizing 🤙🏻🌴
Wow that thing was close to shore. Here on the east coast we would fish for them like 50 miles offshore back in the 80's. Magnificent creatures.
Auch der Marko Hai ist ein wunderschönes Tier. Wieder einmal ein schönes Video.
I miss diving in the Sea of Cortez. Gonna have to get back there one day with the family in tow for once.
To be precise, this is the shortfin mako. Not to be confused with the longfin mako, which isn't as swift nor aggressive.
Yup
Always been my favorite shark since I was a kid and surfing in Malibu, they are the fastest and I surf like them
Awesome
Nice!
Beautiful drone footage of a Shortfin Mako Malibu!
There's footage of some guys rescuing a big mako on Pensacola beach recently. They are goreous!
Such a majestic creature...even from a distance!
Beautiful footage!!
The Mako is the Shark I find most fascinating - even more than the Great White. That super hydrodynamic form and vivd blue...looks like it's straight off the designers pen.
My favorite shark! Nice. ❤
I'm amazed at how swiftly that beautiful Mako was gliding through the water.
Such beautiful footage of both the "bullet" Mako shark & the Sea of Cortez! See you at the Institute in 1 week Nov. 1st 😁
Keep ip the great video's!
I wonder how deep the water is in this footage. It hit me just how beautiful the water looks when talked about the crystal clear blue color.
Great job on the video with DJI equipment
You...are a joy. ❤
Definitely one of my favorite pelagics!
Buen trabajo brother increible 😮
Amazing.
how blue the water is 💙
Gracias por este precioso footage🥺
Is there any chance you could try to get drone footage of the vaquita? If it’s still alive?
Beautiful
i love these videos ❤❤❤
Likely to be the most beautiful shark 🦈 alongside blue shark.
Always need to view, and like 👌🏼👍🏻
My favourite kind of shark! I love them so much, I named my dog Mako ♡
Carlos, I just had an idea... you should make a "scary" video with all your clips. Obviously, Halloween inspired but also revealing how production adds the terror aspect.
Just keep droning!
That's a great idea!
Great footage
Thanks so much!
That looks like a big mako, fully mature in its prime.
such a cute lil fishie
Beautiful video. I still can’t wrap my head around the fact that the Mako can swim 60 mph. That is just nuts. 🤙
In fact, mako can swim at 75 miles per hour.
Oh wow! So beautiful. They even move differently than the Whites. Wiggling much quicker!
How do you tell a Mako from a white from the drone?
Thank you thank you thank you for this video. I have been meaning to ask you if you could find and film a Mako shark once. I recently found a web page from the California Fish and Wildlife Department that says that the short fin Mako grows to around 19 feet. I want to know what your or anyone’s opinion is on this information. Again thanks for this rare gem.
Have you experimented with drone and gopro on a tether to drop in next to the sharks to get submerged shots?
Creepy but awesome animal.
We even get Makos in the English channel
☝🏾❤️🤙🏾
Muy hermoso animal
Stunning shark, it moves so gracefully .
👁👁❤
I saw a show on discovery where scientist clocked a Mako at 42 mph. Where did you get your 60 mph from?
Can we please get a collab between you and Shark Bytes?
Beautiful animals. Thank you for your contribution to the ocean. These apex predators are they key as far as we can tell to a healthy ocean ecosystem
💖🥰💖
Do they come to CA?
yea
I feel that shark on migrating for suitable breeding grounds 😂
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
A curse on the knuckle draggers who fish these magnificent & now endangered creatures.
I wonder if a mako could outswim a megladon.
Technically it's "Baja California" and not "Baja, California", since it's the name of a state in Mexico.
Thank you
60 mph in water? That can't be right.
yes it is right
I've eaten so many , I feel bad
can you touch them ?
