I want to be able to bring it back to life as it was, I don't know how I managed to get to this mode, now I can't use it anymore and I connect it to the computer in vain because it doesn't do anything
If it has a memory card inside, remove it and try again. If there is no memory card inside, then most likely the internal flash drive is dead, hence it is not connecting to the PC. I suppose, you have MyDrive Connect installed. Also try on a non-USB3 port.
@@OCDaddyZsolt is there a way to repair the internal flash drive? Because I got the same problem. I can charge my TomTom by connecting to the laptop but it won't pick up that it is connected to the PC.
Hello maybe someone can help me. After recovery I connect my Navi to PC but it doesn't start to update automatically. Navi is connected but error message "device no responding".
I can think of these: - Battery might be "shot", if it is not holding charge for over 1 hour (fully charged, unplugged). - Internal storage might be faulty. - Could try a facrory reset from the menu (if you can access it), but this will delete all your settings and data.
I have a TomTom GO 40. Updated it recently and now is just stuck on the TomTom logo and does nothing more. Sound glitches on boot up too. I have tried this method but doesn't seem to work.
Well, you need one, otherwise the device can't download the recovery files via MyDrive Connect. It can be either Windows, or Mac, but you need one. If you don't have either, will need to pop over to a friend with a 6-pack of beer :)
Hi there, is it an operational device otherwise? The 3 taps should be quick, within a second. If you can't exit from the TomTom logo, keep pressing the ON button as long as it restarts.
Well, I tell u whole story. I was updating maps. Because TomTom have "best" software on the planet, update crashed few times. After this crash, my nav show "maps not found" and under this text IS single button "OK". Now i cant reach menu in nav device + i tried remove device front MyDrive Connect but it wont connect back, maps are corrupted and recovery mod is stucked after 3-press on TomTom logo and nothing happend

@@amanjohal9173 I’m not aware of. As far as I remember, Tomtom didn’t dix these either, but used to replace the device (if it was under warranty yet).

Hi, if you use USB3 (blue plastic in the connector on the PC), then try with USB2 (black). Or try with a different USB cable.
wowwww ,perfect 👌 Thanks , but i have no whit screen ( Text ) ,
I press the button as you said but it restarts again
Do you know why ?
That's odd. It should display the diagnostic screen. Do you have a memory card placed in the device? If you do so, try to remove and give another go.
@@OCDaddyZsolt I removed the previous memory card and used a new one, but it still does not work 😢😢
How about without any card?
@@OCDaddyZsolt no😪😪

How do u get out of it without plugging it into a PC
By pressing the ON button, until it restarts, should do the trick.

If you have a memory card inserted, try to remove it.
Memory card removed and it just boot loops following your instructions.
Try the recovery now, without the memory card. In case it won’t help, then most likely the internal flash storage is damaged.
What if you don't have a pc?

How do I add a device using an I pad
You can't connect it to an iPad, only to a Mac or a Windows based PC.
@@OCDaddyZsolt ok thanks

My euro truck maps have deleted on my Tom Tom and now I can’t get it back so I can’t add my truck dimensions can anyone help?
The Truck models are always trickier a bit. Have you tried to call their customer services?
@OCDaddyZsolt there is no customer service....no phone number....no emailadres only a online bot that's keeping us turning circles.
@@Lonewolf_rider Have you tried to write "I would like to speak to support" to the chat bot?
@@OCDaddyZsolt as stated, the chatt bot won't get you far.

Tom Tom asking paswoord webflert
Never used the Pro models. If it was yours before, need to ask the WebFleet admin for a new password. If not, then not sure, what. is the solution.
