You did kinda answer you own question too.. all that work, and still kinda slow, not for a matiz, but still kinda slow, and in a chassis more lethal (and probably way less capable) than even a Nova. An Audi S1 mapped "To the Max" is probably just as much fun as this, has to be a lot a safer and will be a heck of a lot quicker A-2-B. Makes no sense banging on about what other people do with their cars in the end, because it's not yours.
I dailied a VR6 Golf for a while, loved the noise of that V6 with a big cone filter on it, especially in a little hatch. I bet that Matiz is endless fun until it rains lol
I dailied a VR6 about 20 year ago. Nice care leather inside. Had it for 5 years.. Sold it in 07 with a long list of faults to fix. 115,000m By that time.
My dad had a Daewoo Matiz for a long time and it is the car I learned to drive in. I remember it struggling up the hills with its tired 1 litre petrol engine. How amazing this is. It does make you laugh just watching it. Amazing video.
I bet that would be pain to design and modify to fit and have right angle when they are on. Just sounds like a scary task, while Matiz have cute face which feels wrong to ruin.

The ultimate sleeper! Like the Spanish Inquisition, absolutely nobody, anywhere expects to be smoked by a Daewoo Matiz. Standard, they were flat out pulling a greasy stick from a dog’s arse 😂 Absolutely love it. In a world of endless car videos, this is truly interesting, original and utterly cool.
My memory of a rental Matiz was my whole family in hysterics as it literally blew from one lane to another on the motorway and then finding that the floor flexed significantly under my foot in the rear seat. This build is awesome and mad though, love it.

Love the Matiz !! Wasn't expecting this at all. Would love to see it even 'more sleeper'. Stock Matiz gearbox lever, simple stock looking exhaust tip, and definitely no Porsche wheels. But it's fantastic anyways.

I have seen the Matiz in September at Notts Classic Car & Motorcycle Show at Thoresby Park,i have a video from there.In the 90's were built in my city Craiova,was a Daewoo factory there,were very popular in Romania,very reliable as taxi.
That is ace, the engine is too big, the wheels look too big but it all works. What a fantastic build. It reminds of a lads car in Leyland from years ago. When the Merc A class first arrived he stuck some 18’s on that and it was the talk of the town.

When you said V6 in a Matiz I immediately assumed a VR6 from VW. How the heck did they fit a Vectra V6 in that? Thats not a small engine in any dimension. I bet it drives bloomin beautifully.

Its teh same with the quest back in the day For the land & water speed records.. Different times. .. Hope this gives you motivation for your own corsa project.. Looks interesting if a lot of work being unfinished..

Are Powercrazy still going? I remember going to a CS meet in Lincoln about 18 years ago and the owner turned up with about 10 customers and their Corsas with V6s. Mad times back then.
@TwinEngineCorsa he is still going - I live two doors down from him. He's a genius and a nutter all in one. I know the owners of the Corsa and Daewoo, and have had the privilege of being hooned around in the corsa. It was the most hilarious thing I've ever experienced.
Screams understeer with that massive engine in the front... Plus when he filmed from the cabin, you can see how soft the suspension is, it needs work before the ring and Misha changed the format of his channel, so no more shitboxes, only seriously built cars. Imo, it makes his channel bit boring, very sad to see as an old fan.
@@zerooneonetwothree1872Sadly this is the downside to a large engine in a small car. .. Personally I'd put the battery in the boot to try and balance out the weight. .. IIRC, the V6 Clio and Audi TT weren't much quicker than their 4 cylinder cousins. Due to the extra weight. .. For Renault and Audi It was more of "because we can" and it's a but nutty💪
Seeing how the engine fits tightly into the engine bay raises two questions: The most concerning, is how much does it affect the crumple zone during an impact? Will the driver have the engine and the steering colump pushed back at him/her? The second is how much the mechanic has to take off to access parts which need maintenance or repair?
This Matiz & the idea if putting a V6 engine in it is just completely & utterly wacky & bonkers, and that is why I love this V6 Matiz so much.
