Great video Brent! John Deere did an excellent job on the suspension! Lots of great information as always! Thanks for sharing! Have a great and awesome day!
It’s always nice when John Deere comes in 10-15 years late and markets technology that’s been out for years and then price it out higher than all others like they just came out with it. Lol. ASV had the torsion type undercarriage back in the 90’s. Just about everyone else has their version now too. Anyway. The 333 is a hell of a machine for pushing thgh if you choose rubber track over dozers.
@@WesternEquipment it’s kinda loud, dis does it have sound reduction ?and you are moving around allot in the cab would you recommend this for a mulching setup?
When you are digging or shaving with the new track system does the machine tip forward with the digging or as the bucket fills making it hard to keep cut of the bucket steady or level?
@@WesternEquipment I'm so glad they decided to do the undercarriage that way, that was my only complaint with the one we have now. Glad you mentioned the pipe stability on the forks.
So John Deere has made these not compatible with their SmartGrade and Slope Control packages so for grading they are pushing to stay with the rigid undercarriage.
My buddy just bought a 333G, and it makes a popping sound under the cab on the left hand side if you're sitting in the driver seat. It sounds like something is loose. Any ideas what it might be?
I’m not quite sure but I would definitely raise the cab and see if you can find anything. If not then I would get in touch with your local dealer ASAP to get it fixed.
Prices vary depending on location most of the time and current incentives. Definitely check with your local dealer so you get an accurate price. Thanks for watching!
Looks like a good idea, I can't see from this video if it actually works. You don't show us the speed you are traveling in the comparison, that would make a huge difference. I have a Cat, and I bought it for a few reasons. Better visibility than Deere, when you carry a load the arms are right in the line of site, and that has not changed. The other reason was price. Cheapest machine I found, brand new. Deere over markets with a bigger machine in each class so they can 'lift more'. This makes the price too high, with the argument from the salesmen that the price is for a better machine...lol. They try to upsell you, just to get the same product. Suspension won't help on a slope, but nice try. If it squats, then it would squat on a slope as well. I will try and get out and take a look at one this summer, but I can only imagine the price tag.
We had another brand bring us a demo machine. Couldn't even come close to the 323D we have. If we have to do the same movement twice because the machine is under powered, the TCO of the machine is actually lower even if the price is higher.
@@WesternEquipment Well the door only opens one way. It’s really a pain when she get locked in there to jump out of the skid steer for any reason has to be all the way down. Then I saw a door on a Kabota that was cool
Yes, Cat has had a torsion axle system for quite some time and that's why I make sure to mention that in the video and to differentiate between this and theirs. Thanks for watching!
With the suspension setup This is definitely a machine for the guy who likes to work there skidsteer move dirt/run attachments i just daily mine so I can get away with out all that fancy stuff lmao Had to say it with how much he talked about lol Deere definitely makes a very nice dependable machine with all the comfort but for a small company like I work for the price wasn't justifiable. We would have ended up with a 323 I think it was. where we got the next weight class up for less money with a Takeuchi TL8 it's not as comfortable as the deere was but it's Ben a great machine so far with zero issues so far
Those bearings on the bogie wheels will be far gone and junk before an asv lost it rubber and asv even says you can still run it with no rubber just get less ride quality and wears the tracks out faster like those steel wheels do and pretty certain asv still has the longest track warranty and also won't fall off and if it does asv will come out and put it back on for free john deere is hands down the worst only thing they kinda had decent were the Hitachi but now they're splitting up only reason John deere will last is because there cheaper than offshore products and if something is way cheaper there's a good reason for it lol Volvo cat Komatsu link belt kobelco are all far superior to John deere
Everyone keeps trying to mimic asv but no comparison at all a much smaller asv will out work other brands biggest machines simply because traction and torque if you're getting a wheeled skidsteer there performance is all about the same just more so what set up you like get to track ones same thing all the same ride like shit and slipping and sliding get to asv smooth like a Cadillac and no slipping around and can plow with it and put plow wheel machines any other brand can't what's so ever
@@WesternEquipment I run a 333g almost daily and own asv vt70 the asv will out push it all day In mud or snow and use to run a asv 125 almost daily that thing is just a beast compared to jd and way nicer cab
Excellent video! You explained everything clearly and your cameras clearly showed the differences in each under carriage. Great job!
Thank you and thanks for watching!

Well that's the thing is that this is different from a normal torsion axle. Thanks for watching!
@@WesternEquipment no its not !
@@WesternEquipment all you deere john guys are lier and con men
I know Deere comes out with it later however they always think it out and come out with something better than anyone else!!

Will dirt get in spring systems at roller area as it pivots?
I operate a 325g with the old school stiff suspension and I can drive over boulders and not spill any dirt with a half loaded bucket too.
That is fair. I should have had a different bucket of material to really show the suspension working better.
With how much travel they have I wonder if it will throw tracks easier
I will be interested to see this as well.
Video turned out great, sure am glad you guys got this one in.
Thank you and me too! It was fun one to do!
@@WesternEquipment I'm so glad they decided to do the undercarriage that way, that was my only complaint with the one we have now. Glad you mentioned the pipe stability on the forks.
I'm looking at the anti vibration system however how does it grade i have 333g currently with hard tracks
So John Deere has made these not compatible with their SmartGrade and Slope Control packages so for grading they are pushing to stay with the rigid undercarriage.
Will it be available on the 317?
Not yet and I'm not sure if it is in the plans to make it an option on this model or not.
Always interesting
Informative video. Thanks. Helluva lot of cuts and zooms in the editing though! Bit tedious.
Thanks for the feedback and thanks for watching!
The way you tried to sell the benefits of a bolt on suspension carriage, lol. 😂
It's a great system. Thanks for watching!
I own 333G. wonder if u could switch out to a track suspension? It would be nice to convert it..
This is a good question and I would have to check on that for sure. Good question and thanks for watching!
Does so good the wheels don't even touch the tracks at times lmao and that's brand new with no slop in it yet yikes they got some work to do
I guess time will tell.

@@WesternEquipment aren't you from Kansas
We are located in Western Oklahoma, Texas Panhandle and New Mexico.
I thought there was western equipment in Kansas City
I just got one with the forestry package included forks and I’m at $127k
Is this new suspension system going make it less stressful on FAT operators ???
Haha! I can tell you from being a bigger boy myself that this definitely makes it a less stressful ride.
8:31 for ‘the action’
Thanks for watching!
First for John deere but not the first suspension on a skid steer, asv has been doing it
This is true and I made sure to mention that in the video. Thanks for watching!

Clearly not a lot of operators bending and breaking idlers wheels when they’re go “over boulders with bucketloads without spill a drop”
Great vid Brent I would like to see how you service a 333g.
Stay tuned and check out our 247 Parts channel. Thank you and thanks for watching!

nice. But if they could something about the door
What do you mean?
@@WesternEquipment Well the door only opens one way. It’s really a pain when she get locked in there to jump out of the skid steer for any reason has to be all the way down. Then I saw a door on a Kabota that was cool

BOBCAT HAS HAD A SIMILAR SYSTEM FOR YEARS
This is true and I mentioned that in the video. This is John Deere's first ever suspension system on a skid steer.
Is this a John Deere system and when did they come out with it?
Yes, and it just became available this year.
What is the price on those?
Prices vary on location and current incentives so this would be a question for a local dealer. Thanks for watching!
So rubber isolators aren’t torsion axles, Hmmm? Mother Deere has some good koolaid! At least they watched a good ASV video before making this one.
Thanks for watching!
That is impressive. I still prefer 4 wheels under me. I'm old school.
It is pretty awesome! And nothing wrong with having a preference.
Bobcat did this yrs ago!.
This is true and I say that in the video. This is a totally different design from Bobcat's torsion axle system though.
I noticed a big difference in travel speed slow with new type suspension and fast with old style, Why did you do this, It Is Decepitive.
This was definitely not meant to be deceptive. This was strictly for information on the track system.
nice, if only I had 100k sitting around
This is true! Thanks for watching!
Ummm not the first. ASV has been using it for years
First on a John Deere machine. I tried to make that clear by putting it in the title.
Our 2019 bobcat t595 has roller suspension in it..john Deere is always behind all the other equipment manufacturers..x9 twin rotor for another example
How well do you feel the suspension helps in your Bobcat?

I hope they move this idea to 317g
Agreed! I hope they make them available for all machines soon.
Its called torsion suspension
This is actually different than traditional torsion suspension. Thanks for watching!
Looks like something expensive to break
Fill your bucket. You’re only half full
Good point. I should have done better about that here. Thanks for the feedback. How was the rest of the video to you?
Just buy a ASV skidsteer.
10 times better. A way better track and drive system. Twice the under machine clearance.
Check out ASV.
I can't deny that ASV makes a good machine. But I hope one day I can do I side by side comparison of the two.
Lip service
If that is your opinion that's ok. Thanks for watching!
Looks expensive to replace when it wears out; & thats the thing, what's the projected life expectancy of this snow-flake's suspension system?
That's a good question. I will have to see of John Deere has this info.
