Thanks for the video I was able to mount my old mirrors on my new factory doors because of your video. Fastenal wanted $6 for the bolts and $15 for UPS so I bought 2 60 mm from Menards and used a couple washers instead. Thanks again I never would have done it without your video.
That's awesome! Glad it helped.
Thanks for the install advice. My mirrors work great can see everything. The part number for Fastenal was perfect. Again thanks for the help.
👍
Put them on my ranger today. Just as described on the video. Would recommend set up for any ranger owner with the cab. Great video.
Thanks for the feedback. Glad it worked out for you. I still really like mine.
Thanks Flatlander!
Everything turned out as described!
Perfect view of both mirrors and great visibility.
Thanks for taking the time to put the videos together!!
Glad it worked out for you. Over 5000 miles now on mine with no issues.
I want to thank you for your tutorial. It was just as easy as you mentioned.Very thorough and effortless. Saved a lot of frustration on my part.. Thanks again.
You're welcome Earl. I appreciate the feedback.
Thank you for posting this. I have a 2016 and the dealership sold me horizontal with round mounts which obviously won't work. After watching your video I drilled through the door and they mounted great without them. Looks better anyways.
Glad they worked out for you. I've had mine on now for quite a few miles and I wouldn't change a thing.
Got the new NorthStar and mounting the mirrors was a snap thanks to you. Used a 13/32" drill bit, M10 bolt fit perfectly. I also went to the button head bolt, looks great. Thanks again !!!
That's great to hear. 👍
I have a 2021 Ranger. Copying your idea for mirrors on mine. Thanks for the video.👍
Awesome! Let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you so much for this video. I have had these mirrors on my ranger for about a year ,Absolutely love them .I had purchased a different set when i purchased it . But they where very disappointing. I was doing research and came across your video.it was exactly what I was looking for .and the update and part number for the bolt . LeAnn from Indiana
I'm glad it helped. Thanks for the feedback
Thanks bud. I just bought these mirrors based on your video.
Thanks!!
These installed exactly as you stated.
Relatively easy and quick
Good to hear. Glad the video helped.
Mr Flatlander, Thanks so much for the video. I am very particular of my mods and do a lot of research before drilling HOLES. I just installed them on my 2019 Ranger Crew Northstar.
They are awesome! they look factory the exact look I wanted. I got the 55 mm bolts and they work perfect. Thank You so much.
I've had them on for quite a while now and I wouldn't change a thing. Glad they worked out for you.
Awesome video, love your Ranger too !! Ordered a set of the Seizmik 18081 mirrors, they should be here today, unfortunately my 2020 NorthStar ,camo, ride command wont be here for a couple of weeks yet. Looks like the mirror install is a snap with your help. Thanks for doing the leg work for me and keep up the great work. Bud
I think you're going to love your Ranger. I had to wait a while for mine too. Thanks for your feedback on the video. Everything I do to my vehicles I try to make look factory and/or blend in as well as work well. I'll post a link to a short update video on the new bolts that I'm using.

Great video and easy install!!!
Thank you very much for this informative video. We have recently purchased a new 2020 Polaris Ranger XP1000 Northstar edition here in Australia and have been struggling to find a quality mirror solution. Most of the aftermarket ATV accessories available locally are just flimsy Chinese rubbish so I have not gone outside Polaris genuine to date. Today I purchased from an eBay USA seller a set of the Seizmik Strike Side View Mirror - Part # 18093 for an OK price (apart from the shipping cost to Australia 😊) as I think I prefer the horizontal view rather than the vertical view. The custom door drilling / bolting method will be identical as that part of the Seizmik mirror mount is identical. Cheers 🍻
Your welcome Mark. Glad it helped.
Ditto great video 🏆
Would love to see a in depth video on sound deadening the rear of the cab or other places you feel would be a good place to stop noice from entering the cab. Great video!
What size tires did you install? Did you lift your ranger? Good video thank you 🙂
At the time of the video I had a 3-in bracket lift installed with 32x10-in Warrior tires. I have since taken the bracket lift off and put in 4-in portals from SuperATV. The 32-in tires did rub until I put on different front a-arms that were offset 1.5 inches forward. Now no rubbing and it drives great.
@@flatlanderoffroad8189 On my defender to run 32" tires i had to put 2" forward A arms...not fun. I just took delivery of a Ranger Trail Boss. Your machine looks great thank you
Thanks great job I’ll be doing this soon
I think you'll really like it. It's working really well for us.
Great video! I just purchased a 2021 Ranger XP1000 two door. My doors have not arrived yet. While driving it the first thing I noticed is the lack of mirrors. Thanks for the video. Every other video I have seen has highlighted how people did not like the mirrors they chose. ai am definitely going to purchase these mirrors. What brand/type of rear view mirror do you suggest. I have the glass windshield with a windshield wiper (also has not arrived yet).
I have the Polaris rear view mirror. it works well but there are cheaper options. It vibrates when driving so I cut some foam to wedge behind the mirror. That helps until I come up with a better solution. I have it mounted to the wiper assembly. It can be mounted to the tab hanging from the roof if you like that position better. Thanks for the feedback. I have had the side mirrors on for a couple years and they are holding up very well. I am always looking at others Rangers with side mirrors but I haven't seen anything I like as much. This style looks and works like they were there from factory.
Really nice outcome. I'm bringing my 2020 ranger to a fab shop this week to let him weld side mirrors on. I'm definitely gonna look at this option first.
What did you do for the rearview mirror? Mine doesn't view over 20' behind me. I gotta have it fixed
I have the factory rear view mirror mounted to the windshield wiper motor cover. I think the visibility is good but there is a lot of vibration at certain speeds.
I didn't realize the 1000s could get up to 70. I usually don't go past 60...gets a little shaky
I did have 32" tires on which increased the top speed. And it was tuned so the rev limit was increased.
I found that 60s are too long 50s worked better for me on my doors. Might wanna get both lengths.
You're right the 60s are too long so I put a washer or two in as spacers until I replaced them with 55s on the update video. I felt the 50s didn't get enough threads on to hold well. Here's a link to the update:
ua-cam.com/video/CHvMb0w-7Go/v-deo.html
how do you get the existing screw out mine seems to have real small phillips head but it seems to be made of plastic
The Phillips head portion turns out partway and then the whole clip pulls out as one piece.
My screw heads just spin. I ended up breaking the whole head off. And the little plastic screw body is still in the door. Only use a hand screw driver on the Phillips heads or you will end up ruining the self removal aspect. I’ll have to drill these out
Just wondering where you purchased the mirrors at. I am finding a lot of different Seizmik side mirrors with the part #18081. Some look like yours, other do not. I want to be sure to get the ones you have.
This is the link to the ones I ordered on Amazon:

@@flatlanderoffroad8189 Thank you so much for your quick response. I appreciate your video, I was having trouble finding mirrors and the dealership was no help.
So in looking at comments did everyone come to the conclusion that the bolt that fits perfect with fit and finish is a M10x55MM Button Head Bolt? Is there a pitch number? 1.25? Thanks everyone!
Yes the bolt that fit perfectly was the M10-1.5 x 55 mm.
Here's a link to the exact bolts I used:
www.fastenal.com/product/fasteners/sockets/button-socket-cap-screws/600043?categoryId=600043&level=3&aggregationSection=true&Dia%2FThread+Size=M10-1.5&Material=Alloy+Steel&Material=Stainless+Steel&Length=55mm&showAll=Dia%2FThread+Size&showAll=Length&selectedAggregation=Length
Where did you order the mirrors from? Looks like that part number has a lot of variations. Thanks for the video.
Amazon
www.amazon.com/dp/B01FMYZHTC?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
The differences that I noticed were what size roll cage they were designed to mount to. I ordered the least expensive variation which at the time was the 1.5 inch but the brackets don't fit anything I own. 1.75 would fit on our RZR or on the tubing on the front bumper of the Ranger. The brackets don't get used to mount the mirrors on the doors of course but if you wanted them for something else I guess you could look for a bracket size that you could use on another machine or for a different application like mounting a flag or some sort of license plate bracket.
Thanks appreciate your response
I installed mine just like you did and it made my windows a little harder to open/close. I had to put a washer between the metal tube and inner door panel. still a little stiff but doable. Ranger is also brand new so maybe it will break in?
I had an issue with my passenger side struggling to go up and down especially when it was cold. The dealer ended up taking the door panel off and zip tying some wires out of the way because they were coming in contact with the window as it moved up and down. It was only on the passenger side for me and it was before I installed the mirrors. Installing mirrors didn't change anything for me. Maybe it's something simple like that.
@@flatlanderoffroad8189 I have manual windows.
@@harleyguy932 I'm not familiar with the manual mechanism. I'm not sure how the bolt would have affected that. On mine the inner and outer plastic panels sit flush to the 1-in square tube inside so the bolt doesn't squeeze the panels together any closer. Let me know if you figure out a solution.
@@flatlanderoffroad8189 maybe mine was built on a Friday. lol. Yea on both the driver and passenger side the inner door panels say about 1/16” off of the metal frame. When installing a bolt through it squeezes that plastic up against the frame, making the weather stripping tighter. The window then became a little harder to open/close. But only for a round or two. I ended up installing a washer between the plastic and the metal frame to take up the space so it wouldn’t compress. Windows are now just snug. Maybe it’s just mine? We’re installing 3 more sets in my buddys Northstars. We’ll see how they go. my ranger is only 2 hours old so everything is still pretty tight. Also cold and dry down here right now. Maybe it will get better. If not oh well it looks cool lol.
Been looking for mirrors, thanks! Does your rig have a 4500lb winch from factory? If so, does it have rapid recovery?
It has the 6K Polaris winch with rapid recovery
@@flatlanderoffroad8189 hey thanks, I just bought a 2020 xp1000 with a factory 4500lb winch but it doesnt have 2 speeds like they advertise and like the VIN says when I enter it at polaris.com. They tell me factory installed never has, only the after market does. Sounds fishy.
Ordered the mirrors too! Thanks.
@@BaconRanch I agree that doesn't seem right. I did find different bolts that blend in better and fit without adding extra washers. ua-cam.com/video/CHvMb0w-7Go/v-deo.html
How has your door held up to the mirror after being installed and the door being open and shut a few hundred times?
I use the Ranger quite a bit and I've had no problems at all with the mirrors affecting the doors.
Did you think i can touch some wire with the electric window thanks
When you drill through the frame you are inside of the tubing that makes up the frame so there are no wires that could get damaged.
What tires do you run for highway running? Hows the noise at speed? Thanks
SuperATV Warrior RT 32x10-14. I will buy them again when I need a new set. I plan to put them on my RZR also if I ever wear my Dirt Commanders out. It was a tough choice between the RT and the DOT rated Warrior AT. These RT's handle fine on the road and the road noise is not bad. I think the Ranger itself is loud at highway speeds so I don't even notice the tires from in the cab. I got the standard rubber instead of the sticky rubber also because I knew I'd be putting miles on asphalt at times and I wanted them to hold up. I have about 2,500 miles on my and still 60-70% tread left. They're great on the trail and awesome and snow. I stay out of the mud but I'm glad guessing they'd clear out well.
For the passenger side mirror do you have to lean over to actually see behind you or can you set up straight at the steering wheel and see you on the passenger side mirror
You don't have to lean over to see the mirror. It's very much like the side mirrors on any car.
@@flatlanderoffroad8189 I just wondered because you were mentioning in your video that you had to kind of leaned over to see the passenger side mirror
I see what you mean on the video Kathy. At 7:38 I lean over to the passenger side mirror so you can see better what is visible in the mirror. Then at 7:50 I go back to the camera angle that shows the view from the driver position. The mirror is visible from the driver position without leaning over at all. There are other brackets that you can buy that mount the mirror differently to the door but a good portion of the passenger mirror isn't visible unless you lean way over with those. The way I have mine mounted works much better.
Do these mirrors have the lifetime guarantee from Seizmik?
According to their website they do have a lifetime warranty. I'll put a link below.
seizmik.com/product/utv-side-view-mirror-pair-abs-1-5-round-tube/
Do they fold flat
They fold all the way forward or back
How do those work? Need these on my ranger how big of a hole do you have to make
Never mind watched full video just what I need. May want to add a little round mirror in the corner for more of a wide view. Thanks for the video
Tim Almich Glad you got it figured out. The hole for mine ended up being 7/16. I did switch the bolts out to a black panhead bolt with one washer. 55 mm would be perfect I got 60 mm and had to cut off a little to make them work.
No issues with the power windows. I have 2020 North Star crew ultimate ?
The driver window wouldn't go up and down in the cold at first but they took it apart at the dealer under warranty and zip tied some wires out of the way and it has worked flawlessly since then. The light up switches and the ambient lights in the doors are pretty bright when you're driving at night so I'm looking at options to tone those down a bit.
I should clarify that the issue I had with the power window was not due to the installation of the mirrors. It came like that from the factory. The mirrors had no effect on the operation of the power windows.
how do you get the plug out or do you just drill it out with a drill bit ?
It's like a regular body clip but the center is threaded. So you turn out the center with a Phillips screwdriver part way and then both pieces of the clip will pull out.
@@flatlanderoffroad8189 thank you
