I got the “check charge” warning 2 weeks ago after getting my car jumped from a dead battery (battery was replaced). When trying to figure it out the “check charge” warning, I notice the red wire that connect to the battery sensor was broken. The other 2 were fine. I then ordered a new connector and a new battery sensor. After installing both today, the “check charge” still came on. Now I’m pissed! I couldn’t figure it out. I took a 20 minute break. Googled the symptoms again and this video came up. I get in the car and press the horn. Guess What? It wasn’t working. I then check the fuse. The fuse was blown. Replaced it. Everything is now fix. I’m so mad I spent 4 hours doing working on this. Thank You for this video! I appreciate it. I’m glad other people put out this information. I should have saw this first. I can’t believe I didn’t beep my horn for that long. LOL. Thanks again.
But why did your battery die in the first place? I am having the same issue as u but my cars battery has been replaced the alternator as well I checked the fuses and now my car battery dies every time I turn it off I’m not sure what’s wrong, maybe the battery sensor?
@@charIieking3 more than likely, it was the battery. It’s the smaller battery. It’s seems like like I need to get a new one every 2 years. A mechanic buddy of mine told me to switch to a bigger battery.
You're the man, thanks for video. My check charge system light can off and now I can return new alternator I almost switched off before looking at this video!! 💯 thank you.
Thank you so much. You helped me! Mine's a 2013 Ford Explorer and I just got a new battery and alternator and I'm trying to reset that stupid warning that comes up. Hopefull Checking the fuses will help. Thank you again.
This was absolutely helpful to me! It was an "Interior light" fuse that had blown as opposed to the horn, but I changed it and the warning indicator went off. Finally fixed it! Thanks man!
So for me it was actually a connector that became unplugged going into the black box on the negative terminal. Be sure to check this out as if it’s the case for u then u fix ur issue right there
I have a 2014 Honda accord and got the same message . I have a new battery . But my car just completely shut down on me and locked the steering wheel while driving . Any ideas???
I’m having this problem right now on my 2016 civic lx Replaced alternator and battery and the issue has came back im about to replace the alternator again which is from auto zone and suggestions on what can be the problem even after checking the fuse

So this video helped I checked my fuse. It’s blown and it blew out right after replacing it what’s my next step, any thoughts?

That’s a good question I want to know too omg
With a continuity test
Any updates ?
