i was able to repair my US version thanks to you. I couldn't figure out how to open the case without destroying it, you showed it has a plastic retaining ring, acting as a brace, on the bottom, that is GLUED or welded. I cut off the bottom as you did. The ring is also held in place by the water tank as added reinforcement when the device is in use. It quite well made inside, all the water contact surfaces are sealed shut with O rings, and after 3 years of use, no water ingress on mine. It stopped working for no reason. I simply rotated the off-on switch 360 deg and it restored contact. Alas, without disassembly this could not be done. That it is not screwed shut so it can be serviced easily is its primary flaw. It works well as designed. I am going to figure a way to replace the ring without gluing it back, as I think this device will need some service now and then. Thank you! Muchas gracias from USA.
Thank you for the video! I was also able to fix my US version after watching you take it apart. I assume my issue was the power control switch like another commenter said.
Buenas tardes, antes de ésta intervención el dispositivo funcionaba? Te consulto porque el mío no enciende y quería saber si éste procedimiento es solo de mantenimiento. Muchas gracias!!
Mine had the same problem after 3 years. i found 2 issues, the battery compartment became loose, and the switch did not work. If others have the some problem, you do not have to open the case, as shown, just pry off the up/down knob as shown in this video. Take the small lever off covering the rotary switch, and using a tweezer, rotate the center spindle, its shaped like an arrow, multiple times, until it turns on. If this works, it will save you from having to disassemble and examine everything as I did and is easy to do if it happens in the future. The other issue was the battery compartment, if the switch trick doesn't work, press on it hard to see if it making contact with the batteries, if it works, the cover is not seating evenly. Open the battery compartment, and before tightening, press down hard to insure it seals completely all around. Good luck!
@@artyzinn7725 you're lucky yours lasted 3 years... Thanks for your input, I also can't get the housing separated. I tried the on switch fix, but unfortunately rotating the arrow clockwise (toward the on-direction, up) didn't work for me. How many times did you rotate that pin? I think I got about 4-5 in before I started stripping the corners of the plastic arrow. I'm thinking it's more of a battery issue but pressure from the bottom doesn't help make contact. Any other ideas? This may be kaput.
@@joeyplunkett7371 I put a new tighter O ring around the battery door too. Its a wear and tear item, just get an assortment from Harbor Freight. FWIW mine is all alive and working now and in use. Good luck.
Thank you TanakaBeat, I was able to fix my waterpik.

So in the end how did u glue back the ring part? Or what method u use to prevent water leak into the battery compartment
