Thing is this demo vid was amazing. I like how it shows both sides as being competent players, while still explaining the game very well.
I also wish this game could come back in a digital format. I think this could work today as a mobile game easily. It's easy to play, has familiar characters, and is fun!
Honestly! The mechanics are well suited; plus the original variety of cards, while expansive, but left room for more.
@2:39 Cobra Commander had ALWAYS managed to crack my Dad up when I was a kid when we kept watching this little video over, and *over* again. XD
When I watch this next to the video for the transformers tcg, it clear which tutorial designer knew the characters. Here cobra Commander is intelligent, scheming, ultimately overconfident but not stupid. Megatron.... well you find the tutorial vid for transformers and you see for yourself.

I never played this game when I was a kid, but I did have the VHS with this video on it. I don't even remember anything from the movie itself, I just rewatched this section of it over and over.
It's been 20 years since GI Joe was in the card game battlefield. Sure, there's a Deckbuilding Game now, but as far as WOTC goes (or not), I am ready for Magic the Gathering Universes Beyond GI Joe Battlebond II

GI Joe has sheer dumb luck. Cobra got the short end of the stick during the Fire Fight. All due to the Joes getting those stupid multiple hit cards.
