    Yes this is my town Apple Valley, California.
    It is between Los Angeles and Las Vegas. Apple Valley is located next Hesperia, Victorville and Lucerne Valley. Route 66 is our road and get on 15 freeway less than half hour to the Barstow👍
    Video showed so many beautiful places and markets, and we also have small Race Track call Apple Valley Raceway✌ The young people start doing Drifting events there and getting more popular nowadays.
    Thank you for share your video, I enjoyed so much.

    I lived in Apple Valley my whole life, and I've seen restaurants and businesses come and go during my 25 years of living here

    We lived in Apple Valley for six years from 1985 to 1991 while my father was stationed at George AFB. Always remember passing over 'the cut' in the mountain there into next door Victorville.

      Thank you for your comment. I still enjoy driving to George AFB and take a look at what's new. There's a a lot going on now. Amazon is building a large warehouse there. Should bring in some jobs. Oh, and that road from Victorville to Apple Valley can get busy now doing rush hour.

      @@martinleicht5911 I was at George 85-88. Started in 35th CRS Nav/Com shop and ended up in 37th Wing Ops as NCOIC on the Runway Operations Monitor program. Really enjoyed the Green Tree Inn and Holiday Inn in Victorville. Left there in 2017 and moved back to Abilene, TX.

    I visited Roy Roger's Museum in 1968. Much of the town was empty lots for sale. Now, at 76, I can't believe the growth. I fell in love with it then ND it continues to fascinate me.

      With growth comes new people and many who have never heard about the Roy Rogers Museum. The older community does miss having the museum in town. The best, at this point, for fans of Roy Rogers and Dale Evans is the Route 66 Museum on D street. There's a small exhibit of the Rogers and the museum. Thank you for commenting. And Happy Trails.

    Other than the Traffic passing through , where the hell IS everybody ? I've seen more pedestrians in an artificial , '' tourist trap '' Ghost Town ( Calico ) than I've seen in your video . You make it look like our current Pandemic has wiped out nearly the entire population of the Town . I said N O when they tried to sell me land there back in 1970 , and I still say NO ! --- Other than that , Good Video ,

    • @roadnland1801
      @roadnland1801  2 роки тому +2

      Thanks for the comment. One reason that you don’t see pedestrians is that I did the video in the morning. Also that Apple Valley isn’t the type of town that one walks around in. Everything is spread out and a car is needed. Plus the dry climate makes walking a bit hard. It’s really bad when temperatures reach over 110 degrees.

    • @roadnland1801

      It can be with windy on some summer afternoons or in the winter. But for the most part it's really isn't bad.
