Lewis Barbecue Review In Charleston, SC

In September 2022, Missy and Stuart visited a barbecue restaurant in Charleton, SC, called Lewis Barbecue. The meats were delicious, and Stuart gave the restaurant a 9/10 rating. However, Missy was not as impressed. She described her brisket sandwich as better at Buc-ee's, a chain of convenience stores in Texas and across the Southeast. While both Missy and Stuart enjoyed their meal, it is clear that they had different opinions about the food.
Stuart made the customary blunder of ordering too much food and had to take some home to their AirBnB on Cannon Street in idyllic Charleston. The special for the evening was beef ribs, and they were delectable. Charleston is known for its history, and Stuart and Missy were able to walk around and explore all that the city had to offer. The beef ribs added to the unique experience of being in Charleston, and Stuart would highly recommend them to anyone considering going.
You’ll first notice the massive, custom-made smokers welded by the pitmaster himself when you pull up to Lewis Barbecue. Inside you’ll order at the counter, where John Lewis is slicing up authentic Central Texas barbecue, cut to order.
The brisket is fantastic, as are the pork ribs, and the sausage is made in-house from an old family recipe. The sides are also solid, but make sure to save room for dessert - the banana pudding is not to be missed. We also have a huge bar and backyard patio to keep you entertained year-round.
So, Lewis Barbecue is the perfect spot, whether you’re looking for a great meal or just a place to relax with friends.
