Man, this kit looks so beautiful. Honestly, I'm glad this was released as a master grade, though sas that it was PBandai, I'm still happy I pre-ordered one. Now to wait a month or two for mine :') I wonder how long it will take before Bandai decides to announce the other variants being the Doven Wolf and Silver Bullet. Also makes you wonder if Bandai will pull a Premium Bandai exclusive again for them (praying not)
really makes me wonder what turned this into p-bandai considering the box is fully colored so it was very likely a regular release kit. personally i like bench marking kits by price points and for the cost of this thing one can also get an mg sazabi, which pretty much blows it out the water imo.
I think this was meant for a full release but Covid-19 hit affecting production and distribution. I guess it was released in the Asia markets as P-Bandai so they didnt take a 100% loss for research and development. This shouldn't be a P-Bandai kit. A lot of recent P-Bandai kits should be full releases in my opinion.
Over here since we got no access to p-bandai resellers/scalpers are selling it for the price of 2x MG Sazabi ver kas lol Man.... if it was a regular release I’d get a copy for sure but as it is right now, I can’t justify that price 😅

However I guess bandai thinks us Americans would rather buy official gundam branded clothes rather than their super, cool, fun, advanced, collectible, exclusive, plastic Gundam model kits for some idiotic reason? The majority of the USA P-Bandai site is Bandai trying to sell gundam branded clothes to American fans with the occasional model sprinkled in. We don't get all the new p bandai releases Asia does, and if we do its later on. I honestly think whoever Bandai has in charge for their North American marketing and sales is %100 out of touch with the market size and demand long before the pandemic caused a strain in manufacturing and shipping. The demand for their product has outgrown their ability to manufacture the kits to keep up with global supply chain. I don't see them opening up another warehouse to ramp up production to print more models since it seems like a labor of love. I also don't see them outsourcing their product to be made by a 3rd party in fear of bootlegs and intellectual property theft. Gunpla is and was always a expensive hobby and will only get more expensive in the future. With limited supplies, 3rd party resellers and inflation on the price of your average retail release its going to be a while before things get back to normal.
Finally bought one today with the reprint and then restock on that. This is one of my favorite gundam designs of all time, along with the FAZZ and sinanju

You can tell its big just looking at it. Soo much part separation. This would make a great paint project. May have to drop the cash on this if I get the chance
Suprise of the year the mkV is good I say that sounding salty, and I somewhat am, cause I didn’t pre-order one. But I am glad it’s good. It looked awesome from day one, and I’m not super surprised it is awesome. I’m mostly miffed I didn’t get one.
Thanks for the review. I love the unique design of the mobile suit. I’ve never worked with this kind of blue plastic before. I was wondering how you find the nub marks on this kit. From the video I couldn’t see any obvious one, so I’m assuming it’s mostly under gated?
Just built mine last night. It is a very solid and imposing kit. I already hate posing it with the incoms though. Having built it, I am less sure they will make a Döven Wolf or Silver Bullet with this kit. Not a lot of parts are transferable. I hope I am wrong.
The Mk-V got the MG treatment first even though the HG Silver Bullet and Doven Wolf have been released a long time ago and yet an MG comes first. PLEASE BANDAI, make an HG Mk-V already. I don't care if it sucks but atleast it would have a kit in HG form
That shield.... 🤔 neat looking but doesn’t actually look like it would protect much, not like a larger more flatter shield would do. Looks more like a cannon or engine than a shield. Aside from that, amazing looking kit !! Great color separation
@@armin8306 because the shield not only serves as a cannon but can also be mounted on the back as an additional booster due to shield javing thrusters in it

aside from the possible Doven Wolf and Silver Bullet there's also the Amuro Ray's version of the Mk-V that has a more traditional Gundam head design.

This looked kinda ugly (I prefer the Silver Bullet), seeing it completed, this thing looks beautiful.
