This one is actually a really good buy if you like kitbashing tbh. With a full primrose included, there are soooo many options parts and equipment readily available in the box that you’ll find swapping parts around a blast. Kinda hope it got the new thighs and waist from the Haze’n-thley, as that’d make this one the true ultimate HG Hazel box
Its absolutely true, probably nearly half of my gunpla is AoZ and I can't even begin to hazard a guess how many dozens of hours I've spent doing exactly what you said. TR-1 and TR-6 all day! The modular capabilities are like nothing else in all of Gundam. On any given day I might have 10-12 different Hazel variants, couple Hazenthleys, couple Woundworts, plus I create and paint up variants of other AoZ models you cannot buy. Love AoZ its by far most bang for my buck...
You can make the a version of the Hazel Owsla, those extra torso parts fit between the arms and the torso seamlessly. You won't have the Tri Booster or the Long Blade Rifle, but those are not technically what makes the Hazel Owsla the Hazel Owsla - the fact that the chest has been replaced by the Primrose is. So even the base next generation mass production type is still a "Hazel Owsla".
If you have many advance of zeta kits, the leftover parts are really useful in many ways. And even without them, there are plenty of other options that you can make with this one kit: the Hazel Custom or the Advance Hazel with the Primrose, or the full Hazel Owsla minus the long blade rifle.
The HG TR-1 Hazel Custom is still one of my favorite kits in my collection. It's the most premium-feeling HG kit I have and I love the design of the core Hazel Gundam.

Ready, there are the time labels, sorry, I was late, but I had to arrange everything well. I hope that you and others find the time labels for each part of the video useful. They only want to see a specific part and not the entire video.
Hey Zaku, in the black and white instruction pamphlet, right after (10) where it says to mount the primrose on the runnerless action base, there is a extra 2-part subarm that says 'assemble to your preference.' Any idea what it's used for?
It's funny the Dengeki Hobby 15th Anniversary Hazel Custom set comes with an advanced hazel FG Hrududu and FG Primrose meaning you could make a full Owsla and full next generation mobile suit unfortunately since the hrududu and primrose are in all dark blue there's Alot to paint
I've been noticing that these AoZ designs are basically just mixing and matching like three key base designs with different equipment packs in different ways, so my question is: If I wanted to get a comprehensive representation of all the possible Hazels and Hazenthleys and Hrududus and Woundworts, what kit(s) should I look at? I had assumed the Hazenthley 2 Rah was a good place to start (and it does seem to cover a decently wide gamut of the... Woundwort?-base designs), but I seem to have been mistaken. To "complete" the line, I'm assuming I need at least one of the Hazel kits - Advanced Hazel? Hazel 2? - and maybe a Primrose kit or two or three? There's also the TR-5 Hrairoo, and apparently the Psycho Gundam makes an appearance somewhere in there, too...?
Unfortunately, a lot of the AoZ suits also have their own unique parts, so there are no single, most comprehensive Hazel/Woundwort kit. For the Hazels, I think that the 3 most important ones are the one in the review, the Tr-1 Hazel II, and the TR-1 Haze’n-thley. I personally recommend the white Haze’n-thley over the blue one, since the blue one just comes with too many unnecessary extra parts that drives up its price tremendously. The Hazel Owsla Mass Production also contains all of the parts of the Hazel Custom and the Advanced Hazel, coupled with a full Primrose, which in my opinion is the most important expansion for the Hazel line. For the Woundwort, the 2 you might want to look for are the Haze’n-thley II Rah, and the Kehaar II. The Haze’n-thley II, both version, is basically its own thing, as it actually borrows very little from the Woundwort. It also has a full Hrududu II set, which is the most important expansion for the Woundwort line. The Kehaar II contains around 95% of the original Woundwort inside its armor, just missing a chest piece. So all in all, 5 kits in total: Hazel II, Hazel Owsla Mass Production, Haze’n-thley, Haze’n-thley II Rah, and Kehaar II. The Hrairoo would be a nice addition as well, but it’s also the one with the least kitbashing ability with the other 2 lines, but it’s a normal release with a very recent reprint so it’s not hard to get. If you fell like it, go for it
@@ZakuAurelius I managed to snag a first batch JP pre order and a couple July US pre orders the JP ones were wild tho sold out in under a minute or something
@@cyberneticwarmachine thank you! I have seen the hazel custom in circulation. I was looking specifically for the advance hazel. Thank you for the help tho. i greatly appreciate it.
It would have been nice if Bandai re-engineered the HG Hazel at the beginning of the Advance of Zeta releases. Small adjustments like removing the seam lines in the arms and legs. Maybe some additional movement with the knees. I would like to see them do the Hazel in RG form, I think the suit would fit perfectly in that line. Zack, can do you a seam line removal video for this kit? Curious what your process would be to modify the forearms since they sandwich around the elbow joint.
Whoa! What happened to your thumb?!? I hope it didn't hurt much. Also, I hope it heals fast so you don't get affected with your builds! Nice review, as always!

It is kind of disappointing this does not come with an updated hip joint like the TR-1 Haze'n-thley. That would work really well with less bulky TR-1 variants imo.
So, I picked up the TR-1 Hazenthlay Rah-II (The one that's I think basically the TR-1 Hazenthlay plus two Hrududu II units) on a whim because the model kit shop in the next town got in a bunch of P-Bandai sets. And going through the parts I was a bit disappointed, because it included nearly an entire Primrose set in the "Combat Deployment" colors - missing only the runner with the outside of the shield and the cockpit. I guess this kit is where those all ended up. XD Fortunately the store also has this exact set, which is why I was watching this video to see if it was worth getting. I may be making a trip to pick it up now. :P P-BANDAI, why u do this?!
The resale pricing is of the charts on this one. 60 usd from what ive seen. For Advanced ( 11 usd) plus recolored primrose ( 16 usd). But then again getting these now seperate is just as expesive. god i hate the AOZ p-bandai tax:(

No complaints. The price for the design is phenomenal.👍
