I love the Ryan Drummond model of Sonic here. Also running through the city without it being a chase is pretty sweet too. Makes me miss the Bay Area.

A lot of the sonic unleashed game was scraped because of time so there was a possibility It could have happened

This is not Dario's mod, but an entirely new port! Pretty neat seeing an Unleashed mod, it appears to be a WIP.

Its very cool to see a remixed City Escape song and stage in Unleashed and running instead of on a skateboard!
As much as it is fun to see people put there own spin on things I think it's best if this zone stays in the adventure games and be put in future games. But I do like the remix of the theme of this zone.

The modern stage could replace the truck with the big chaser mech.
At this point there will be the generations pack for unleashed
What a missed opportunity to use the robots to chase sonic from behind since they don't have the truck. That would've worked with the camera being in front of sonic to

You did a great job.
I think it's pretty clear though that the Unleashed controls and game play do not match very well with the Sonic Adventure style maps.
Lots of bounciness and more free air movement is missing making the Unleashed setup look clumsy from time to time.
The way sonic moves and the overall camera setting show how the Unleashed devs where more focused on having dynamic Maps where you are more likely to just press forward and boost, which doesn't compliment the Adventure map very well, as it is based on lots of movement by the player and not just crazy looping maps and rails.
The sonic adventure controls feel more like sonic heroes or super mario 64
The Unleashed feels more like Sonic and the secret rings or Sonic and the black knight
That's just my perspective though so take it with a grain of salt.
I like what you did though because it clearly exposes the different approaches of the different developers.
Well Sonic Adventure 2 that was back then anyways but I get what your saying.
This is a port of a generations level which is designed for modern Sonic.
@@shiranui2844 yeah i know its from Generation. But the original map design is still mostly a copy of the SA2 city Escape which has different game play than Generations. Its mostly only certain sectors of the map that have been remade or removed.

Unleashed isn't on PC yet.
And as far as I've seen, emulating it doesn't work.
Now imagine playing City Escape in Werehog mode but in different categories of platforming.
Sometimes its really satisfiying to just hold down boost and blast down even without the truck chasing you. Idk.
What'd you think about this, Terminal? Any good?
Sonic Unleashed: The Generations project
I like this. This is basically Generations port though, so not really reimagined, is it? Apart from a few QTE ramps. It's a really stable mod though. Did you play this on RPSC3 or Xenia? I get decent Xenia performance, but on RPSC3, I get stutters and audio lag despite having a 3070TI and an i9 7940X. Do you have any recommendations to boost performance? I don't know how to mess with settings and I was going to release my Unleashed playthrough video, but it was so stuttery that I just can't. Any advice would be amazing!
From what I saw this mod is only for the Xenia version. I don't really have any recommendations for Xenia as I basically used the default settings. ;x

okay. can someone please please tell me why whenever anyone plays sonic unleashed when he grinds rails he always presses the slide button to do the change pose thing on the rails, but when someone anyone plays sonic generations, which has the exact same ability, he NEVER does that. before I played unleashed I always thought that in unleashed he does that automatically and that this animation doesnt exist in generations, but then I played unleashed, saw he doesnt do it do I found out you need to press a button to do it, and then found out it works in generations too. it feels like people intentionally try to make it seem like this animation plays automatically in unleashed so people who didnt get to play unleashed are confused like I was before I played it.
I never even thought about that lmao. I actually think the reason is because normally Unleashed has longer grind rail sections, so we probably press it to keep people entrained more. Generations does have some long grind rails, but usually there are dash rings or something along the path. I know I've done it a few times in Generation videos.

This stage makes me realize how much slower Unleashed is compared to Generations. Generations base and fully upgraded speed values are faster than Unleashed even with the rings boost, which makes me kinda happy to know SEGA didn't screw up in the speed department (or any department in the case of Generations)
They did screw up things in generations.
Classic Sonic physics, momentum physics basically anything involving the physics gameplay that Sonic is known for.
(This one's just a nitpick, but Unleashed looks better than Generations, Forces and every other game we've had since. (Graphically )

That's all you need to do to see how they messed up the momentum physics.
They fixed it somewhat in Forces(PC at least, can't speak for the XB/PS versions) but it's still far from perfect.
@@BlueEyedVibeChecker That is 100% correct. The momentum was wack as hell in Generations, relying on the OP spindash rather than momentum. Forces did fix it to a degree, and while it has a few kinks that need working out, I think they're getting really close to the OG classic Sonic physics!
