Today we take on Oklahoma's most famous man vs food challenge, the Kendall's Chicken Fry Challenge in Noble OK. The southern food challenge consists of 3 massive chicken fried steaks covered in their country gravy, along with mashed potatoes, southern style green beans and 2 cinnamon rolls. Challengers are in the quest for a free $45 meal, a tshirt, where as losers actually still get a cup if they don't finish in the 60 minute time limit. Tune into see if we can get this challenge which has been unbeaten for many years, and maybe beat this 6 year record on this soul food challenge set by the Legendary Randy Santel himself in 2016.

No doubt. I have never tried it. I need to visit the southern states.

It is. I’m from the south and have cooked it many many times. He was right it’s steak that is ran through a machine that stabs it half way through on both sides to make it tender. I put salt pepper and garlic powder onto the meat then lay it in flour and coat it. I sometimes use some bacon grease along with fresh vegetable oil to fry it in. It cooks fast. I make homemade mashed potatoes with butter and canned milk. Fresh green beans put in a pan with some bacon grease or butter and slowly fry them until they get wrinkled or asparagus fried the same way the asparagus cooks fast.
I don’t make cinnamon rolls with that I make peach cobbler and that’s all from scratch. The entire meal is from scratch and the gravy down south is just called gravy but since I live in the North I call it Southern gravy. When I started cooking I alway made 2-5 vegetables and 2 deserts and 1-2 meats for family. Sorry if I ran on but if you ever get the chance to have some of what Joel ate do so you will not be disappointed.
Halfway in I would have started getting the greasy meat sweats.
I love chicken fried steak and gravy. Kendall’s has got the best.
When I need to perk my appetite up a bit, I watch Joel destroy another challenge!

Great job on the challenge Joel!! Brown gravy is also good on a chicken fried steak. I think the origins of the dish come from German settlers in central Texas because it is very similar to their schnitzel.

Joel I’m not a big fan of chicken fried steak but I do love a really good chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and a country gravy!! I don’t no if it’s because I’ve never gotten a good and tender one or what but I do love when I can get a good chicken one!!! As a Texan, I couldn't imagine living in a part of the country where Chicken Fried Steak isn't a thing. That is my go-to whenever I hit up a mom and pop diner/cafe in a small town - oh yeah, I order mine with a sweet iced tea as well! Great video, Joel!

I've seen so many advertisements on Facebook about Kendell's Restaurant and I wish they had a chicken fried Steakhouse here in Texas. I may travel up there someday. That was quick eating. It looked so delicious. My favorite, too.

I live here and know the owners. It is a very thin gravy but it lets the chicken fry stand out. Prob my all time fave chicken fry ever and man those cinnamon rolls bring me back to my school days. Grt place to eat for decent price if ur ever this way. Consistently ranked as one of the top places to eat cfs in Oklahoma.

FYI Joel, its pronounced 'Woo-ster-shire', you leave out the CE in Worcestershire. Alot of Brits(where the sauce was created) just call it Wooster/Wuster sauce. Have a great day!

I've never tried hot sauce on mashed potatoes. And I'm a chile head. I don't recall seeing anyone do that before. I'll have to try it, but I love mashed potatoes with brown gravy so maybe try just a little. Congrats on the new record.

I've eaten the chicky fry there several times and it is delish. Those steaks, however, look a lot thicker than the ones I ever eaten there. The steaks I've had are very thin and there is a lot of coating, but still they are very good. Especially with Brown Gravy.

I live about an hr away from this place and I finally went to try the chicken fry steak a few months ago and very true the chicken fry steak is BOMB!! I'm very picky about mine. I didn't try the challenge i barely finished the regular order of it. But omg soo good.

OMG, that looked so good. I would have ordered it to go with 4 more orders of mashed potatoes and green beans and just ate on it for a week. $45 for all of that is a steal. I absolutely love chicken fried steak, but haven't had it for years because of health reasons. So I can at least enjoy it vicariously through you.
