This video, like most of the others on her channel is from when Fami was still at high school. You may notice that she doesn't really show her face, in a lot of them she wears a mask, because she was trying to not be recognised.
Yesterday, Sunday 1st September, like a number of other Lovebites fans around the world, I watched the live stream of their concert in Tokyo, and I have to say, Fami's bass playing was wonderful. Several people mentioned it in the chat. I think this young woman is destined to be one of the great rock and metal musicians of the time. I imagine Lemmy, RIP, raising a glass of Jack Daniels to toast her.
Yeah, I did notice in the older videos she seemed to actively avoid showing her face, but I imagine that went out the window when she joined a touring band 😄
I have decided to go over a live performance with Fami when I next check out Lovebites (which should be soon, I hope) and pay attention to what she's doing.
I'd like to see her bounce around the stage (as someone else pointed out she does during live performances if there's enough space for that) and of course I'd like to see her do her thing on the bass 👌
I saw her live in action with Lovebites and she does jump around!

Fami is a phenomenal bass player. In Lovebites' LIVE performances, she hops, jumps and runs around the stage (the bigger ones) quite a lot.

Alright, next time I check out Lovebites it will be one of the Fami live performances. I want to see her move around the stage, that's always so cool to see!
and she usually has a huge smile throughout the whole thing. If the song's subject matter is serious, then she won't be smiling, but otherwise her smile is as bright as the laser lights they have on stage! 🤩

Oh yeah, now that you mention it I recall hearing about the "Alien Alien" cover! I should have probably sorted her channel by most viewed and picked the top video (which is the "Alien Alien" one). Instead I picked one of the videos UA-cam randomly recommended to me.
Ah well, too late for that.
Does she have 2 signature basses? When I look up Fami's signature bass on google it shows me the bass without headstock (I saw it in one of the other videos UA-cam sent my way).

Lovebites held an exhaustive search for a new bass player. You can see why they chose Fami. BTW Lovebites UA-cam channel has 140k subscribers while Fami's has 694K subscribers.

The subscribers count difference is wild! But then I imagine playing bass in your room doesn't hold a candle to playing bass in sold out venues. Good choice on both sides!
Her UA-cam channel had more subscribers (way more) before she joined Lovebites than the Lovebites channel had at that time!
That's still the case! Her UA-cam channel has about 5 times the subscribers of the official Lovebites UA-cam channel.
@@bsdsuPASTA Yeah.... I just wanted to emphasize that her fanbase was huge even before she became part of Lovebites. Watching the videos of when Lovebites did their search to replace Miho and when Fami auditioned, really points out that it was truly destined for them to get together. 😀

@@bsdsuPASTA There are a bunch of application videos on UA-cam, but not bundled. But keyword "LOVEBITES bassist auditions" would be successful. Some of these bassists found different projects and made a name. That was really a catchall audition... and they got the perfect match, Fami!

@@user-ii1ke9ex4u I actually intend to do a first time reaction to this band, hopefully soon but I'm not sure when exactly, so I'm skipping their performances for now so I can do that.
Thanks for the suggestion though, I'll add it to my list so I can consider it when I eventually check them out (3 more of their songs were suggested as well, "I wish I", "カチカチ山" and "A LALA").
@@bsdsuPASTA Before you react to any bands or specific songs, I'd suggest asking the fans (the folks watching your videos) for their suggestions and especially asking them for specific links to the version that they think would be the best for you to watch. All us fans have probably watched multiple different videos on the same songs and will have specific ones that we think have the best quality/audio/presentation/etc already bookmarked. hehehe

The thought has crossed my mind a few times, but I always brush it aside because I assume nobody is going to see my community posts.
