@@joyoushapes we prefer to slow travel and are flying in following a stay in busy Kuala Lumpur. I love that there are no vehicles, so great for exploring with 3 kids 👌

I was in Gii Trawangan on February 2023 . I liked the friendly people and the facilities on the island .Nevetheless, the water, despite of being so colorful , is ful,l of differents plastic in suspension. The local guide told me that hte clean it 3 times a week but ,it comes agani and again . Big Multinational Companies must stop producing ,using and spoling the entire enviroment across the planet.
Everyone has a portion of responsabiity.

Thank you for sharing this! I 100% agree. Despite the beautiful sea, it’s full of plastic. I went again to Gili in Sept 2022 and I was literally snorkeling in plastic. Horrible!

@@joyoushapes - In December & January we’ll check out Java: Jogjakarta, Borobudur, & my friend’s hometown in Central Java highlands, then go to the south shore of Lombok, after several days go up to Gili Air for a stay, then take the ferry to Bali, stay in Ubud, and of course a few days in Cangu before heading back to Jakarta… A bit over five weeks.

The cheapest option is to rent a transportation through Grab app, and then buy the speedboat ticket on Ketapang Ferry Port :)

I think they aren’t online but you can find them at the entrance of the local market in GIli T - they have their stall right on the right side :)

At which beach did you see the blue plankton? 🤩
It was in front of Ego Beachfront, totally unexpected 😂 I was a bit drunk and at first I thought it was the reflection of the stars. It took me a while to realized I was surrounded by blue plankton lol
Two days is NOT nearly enough lol.. We spent a week on T and a week on Air.. Neither were enough. You can get very busy doing nothing ;)
That's great for you! Unfortunately many people got only few days to spend on Gili islands but still able to do all these activities :)

Do we need vax passport?
Yes, to travel in Indonesia you much have the vax passport.
It's certainly not paradise but lovely beaches in some areas but not all. None stop noise until 3am to 4am every night /morning on the main side, quieter on the other side. Drugs everywhere and the horses aren't that well looked after
It definitely changed since the borders opened up ah! I have been 3 time since - the 4th at the end of this month - and I’m very curious to see it!
