Sunny Funny is not a good match for Parappa. If she honestly liked Parappa, she wouldn't only be into him when he looks manly and eats her noodles. If she actually listened and knew Parappa, She'd know that Parappa was sick of noodles by now, but instead she has to treat him like garbage just because he didn't want her nasty cooking. He literally does everything for her, invluding make her a cake, drive for her, enlist in the army, sell stuff to pay off a car because SHE wanted to kiss him, and a bunch of other things. But instead she judges and degrades him just because he isn't Joe Chin or entirely perfect. A true relationship is to acknowledge and embrace the other's flaws, not make the other feel bad because of your high standards. And of course she wouldnt help Parappa save the world. For people who don't get why they're telling Parappa to "not copy, and make his own groove": you are encouraged to follow a different beat than what is proposed (that's why there's lots of space between most notes) but there isn't an indicator for it.
When you follow a different beat, you hit the "COOL" mode. It first happens in the growing big song.
The one you're rapping against leaves you to follow that beat (with zero indicator) and to get back to "GOOD" you have to miss a few hits.
Extremely obscure reference but if you know the game God Hand, it's like reaching Level Die.

This game was slightly censored in the north america version to avoid a Teen rating from the ESRB, like Umjammer Lammy.
During the first stage, one of the lines was originally "tastes better than wine." but was changed to "So you better get in line." due to refrences to alcohol. In the same stage, "warm the buns" became "Toast the buns." to avoid a double meaning innuendo.
In stage three, Guru Ant's line about "being the Lord" was changed to "being the man" to avoid religous implications.
These edits are not present in the Japanese or European Release.
Zippy Kirby and they kept stage two the same

Imagine trying to explain the intro to stage 1 to someone who's never heard of the game.
"So you're trying to order burgers, but all the burgers turned into the noodles. And then after you have a Vietnam flashback, the father of the current restaurant owner comes back from the dead, and helps you single handedly run the burger shop."
Concerning the part at 49:56 this suggest that Parappa's mother had died in the gap between the first and second game.
That's kinda sad when you think about it...
You see his mother in Um Jammer Lammy as a background character in the firefighting stage. If you look behind Chief Puddle and Lammy, you see a dog (female, as shown by her long blond hair) jumping around in the background. That's her, considering she also appeared in the Rodney Fun Comics.
"She used to be really nice" sounds like him joking that she's turned into a bitch more than that she's dead. Parappa's reaction makes more sense in that context, too.
