Wenda, Hi, I am so happy I found your channel. This excel video on how to make planner inserts was extremely helpful and easy to follow. Thanks so much. Have a great day!! Robyn
Thank you, Wenda! I grew out of the DIY Planner I made on my Channel and when I got my new Apple computer, I wanted to take it a step further and customize my own pages, but I did not know how to use Microsoft Excel. You're a "Wendaful" instructor! I can do it now, and I'll share your video on my Channel! God Bless - you are detailed and patient! I also Subscribed!
This video is a real money saver!!! Thank you so much for taking the time to share your tips. I am (probably) almost done with my planner pages and they look great. :)
love your video!! I do have a question how do you print this for a personal size planner. would you print on a 8.5 x 11 sheet and cut down to the personal size?
I must have a different version of Excel b/c when I go to page setup (not listed under file but instead under page layout), it won't let me customize the page size.
+Sandy Prater Found it! Go to the "View" tab and then click the "Page layout" on the top left. (Mine was in "normal" and then looks similar to Wendaful's when I clicked "page layout"). Confusing since there is a "page layout" tab!
This was most helpful, especially the one tip at the end to save as a .pdf. I have been struggling to print what I make, and I think that may solve the problem. One request: I would really like to make a dated version without having to enter all the dates by hand. Are there tricks for that?
This might help for those using PC & not MAC for page set up : Page Set Up>Options>Detailed Setting>Custom Paper Size>enter width & height>OK>OK I was not able to name is,it just defaults to Custom Paper
This tutorial really helped me out! Ive bought two planners for this year now only to be disappointed that both had weekly layouts that started on Monday, not Sunday like I wanted! My only question for you (or anyone reading this) how does this work on printing normal sized paper (8.5x11). I plan on purchasing a little bit of thicker printer paper (24 lb to 30 lb) but I wasn't sure how it worked out for others!
Hey....I just ran across your blogspot on Pinerest--I was excited to see your planners done in excel. However I am having difficulty following your method. I opened a workbook and attempted to follow the same steps in your video but could not find where you were working to set page size and etc. I see that you have a background behind the workbook where i discovered there is another command bar area with an additional excel, file, edit, view, and etc seperate from the one on the actual workbook itself. This is where my problem lies. Can you help me. :)
What version of Excel is this? Because I have a newer version I believe and when I go into "page setup" it doesn't offer an "options" button like yours. Any recommendations?
I Love this, thank you thank you thank you. this is sweet. i am trying to find a less extensive way of doing this. I am getting a filofax (they are the only ones that have the color i want.) would there be a way i could get the pages to fit that?
what version of excel are you using? I also see you are using an apple computer... so I wonder if that also makes a difference, because in office 2010, I'm not seeing an A5 size, and when I do what I would normally do and make the page size 1/2 of the page, it still doesn't look how your screen does.
btw, I figured out a way that works for my version... I put it in landscape, set the paper size to A4, and then use the 5" mark to divide them in half to make 5x8 sheets... now if you want erin condren size sheets, you'd want to copy her measurements and not necessarily use landscape, but I wanted to be able to print 2 to a page, so that's how I did it... I don't need these kind of inserts at this time, but if I go to a ring binder planner, I'll be ready :D
Hi! I have a blog where I update more frequently. Here is a blog post on how to print: www.wendaful.com/2016/04/print-wendaful-planner-inserts/ and another one here: www.wendaful.com/2014/08/how-to-print-filofax-inserts-on-mac/
PintaseSarapintas I'm not positive, but this looks similar - you make it yourself following instructions on this site iheartplanners.com/2015/03/13/organize-computer-desktop/
I have to say I could not follow this tutorial. I notice lots of ppl asked what version Excel you were using. as well as other questions. I don't ever see a reply to their questions. It would have helped others with the same question. Sad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this is so amature? and what does Wendaful suppose to mean? I hope not that over 5 years is talking about wendaful istead of wonderfull, where is this world going??

Thanks for making this video. Took me awhile to get through this since I kept pausing while I worked on my own inserts. Very helpful

@@webkitten but how do we get to customise the size

Love the video! Very explanatory and easy to understand. Will save so if I need to go back I can
How do you make a layout wherein there is four inserts in one page for pocket size? The usual paid inserts in etsy.
This might help for those using PC & not MAC for page set up : Page Set Up>Options>Detailed Setting>Custom Paper Size>enter width & height>OK>OK I was not able to name is,it just defaults to Custom Paper
I guess I have an old version of Excel. I can't see the Page Layout option in there and my sheet doesn't look like yours when I try to adjust things.
So grateful for you and I appreciate what you do for the planner community, but this is just too complicated for me!
I was able to make my own inserts! Thank you!!!
Great video! I was looking to customize to my liking and this video is the BEST! Thanks for sharing...
Could you please make a tutorial on how you print them and use them as your planner? Thanks!
