The elderly lady sounds like she's developing dementia. When I would help watch my grandma, she would come into the room I was sleeping in and tell me to go upstairs and turn the radio off. She didn't want to pay the electricity bill for it and it was keeping her awake. There was no radio, and the house was silent.
If she went outside with one of the other family care givers, if someone walked by she would start screaming for help, saying we were trying to kill her. It was very sad.

Completely agree! I think maybe people rush to judge people or laugh at them whether they are talking crazy or getting angry etc, it’s all a lot deeper than that. and also while Mike scoffed about landlords giving people asthma I don’t think he’s ever seen a £700 per month squat in London with a bathroom full of black mold. Children in the uk have died from developing asthma due to poor living conditions.

11:13 “Bumping” refers to a lock picking strategy when you apply great force to a lock, that is to say “bump” it, so as to force the pins inside to move up quick enough to force a wire or something through to unlock the device.

That was the psychiatric wing. I presume that wing would include supervision, possibly medication, and ongoing visual contact throughout the day and night. Even in overcrowded and understaffed conditions, every one of those patients should have received eyes-on and hands-on care multiple times throughout the day and night. That isn't a mistake. I lived with her to take care of her (wanted to respect her wish to not go to a hospice) and she was very paranoid. She always had her bathrobe pockets full of stuff (big wallet, lighters, money, etc.). She thought people entered her home just to misplace stuff. What we NEED are rehabs longer than 30 days, that offer vocational training, classes in money management, and slowly help them start back to work and getting into housing so the stress of every day life doesn't send them back to old patterns.
I know someone who completed a program similar to this that is now thriving after being an addict nearly his whole life.
Stop criminalizing addiction and start treating it.

With the first story, I can see it happening. A person across the street had some guy keep trying to get into her house one night, and used a dog excuse to to say they wanted to play with the dog on the property when there was no dog. You wasn't arrested until the 4th time that night. I've also had one of our neighbors come to our house around 1:30 in the morning, saying that our sleeping children were pointing lasers into their bedroom. I went from 4 years ago not having one security camera outside of the house, to now having them in the front and in the backyard.

A bump key is a specially cut key that can override many pin-tumbler locks, which are the most common type of locks for homes1234. It is also called a "999 key" because all of its ridges are cut to the maximum depth25. It can be made from an old or blank key using a file or a key-making machine124. It works by "bumping" the pins inside the lock with a quick force35. It can act as a "master key" for opening any lock that matches its shape45.

@@PacificSailing184 You would be surprised how quickly most locks can be picked or bumped. However most criminals kick in the door or break a window. The best locks are only as good as the strength of the door frame which is usually not very good. A proper door installation is more important than the quality of the lock.
