Really hope you're feeding the Corys enough, they need more than you'd think, I learned this the hard way. Many years ago I had a group die on me, because they literally starved. I just didn't realize how much more food they needed.
Please help my fish is swimming weirdly, like it has a broken spine or something. It doesn't look like a bacterial infection, more like an injury I've made a (quite bad quality) video of her, i think you should watch it ):
Looking awesome as usual MD! Since rainbows are such slow growers and slow to reach maturity /full, full color, do you think you'll keep this tank setup long enough to see them full size? I have had my turquoise and boesmanis almost a year and they are just now getting chonky. 🤣 Rainbows are the long game!
I will most likely keep the rainbows but the scape will change over time. I'll probably need something more simple later on as they grow and need more swim room.
Awesome! They really are such cool fish that just get better and better as they grow.... I look forward to watching the evolution of their scape! 😁 Personally, I want a few of every type! Lol
You are such a treat to watch! Absolutely love your content. 💖 Have you ever considered making a long sort of asmr(?) video of your tanks just vibing with your soothing music? Your channel is my go to to settle my anxiety and just having a long video of shots of your tanks and critters would be the absolute best to just relax to! I'd watch that on repeat like those fire place chanels you can set your tv to. 👀 🐠
Beautiful Tank MD! I’d get the co2 booster on the thread algae bits on the moss and wood first - wait a bit before trimming, this means the loose thread algae (presuming dead or dying by this time) will be munched on by your amanos and not reestablish elsewhere
Hey MD, loving the tanks and the work you create, you’ve now got me hooked to change my 3ft tank from predatory fish to a live planted community in a tank similar to your African Tank, love your tanks, keep up the amazing work 👍
Tank looking so good, I've got a small bamboo cane I use to twirl out thread algae when I see it. Sort of like the toothbrush method but it works great! That and Excel...
I just adore watching your videos - it's all instructional but light-hearted too. Encouraged me to dump (well, ok, store) my plastic plants and replaced with real ones and bogwood in my small 34L tank.
my rainbowfish tank faces east and gets the morning sun for what I hope are obvious reasons :) Boesmanii, turquoise, and dwarf neons, along with rasboras (harlequin and lambchop), and a couple of stragglers (blackskirt, hatchetfish, dwarf bristlenose). The colours are brilliant! I notice the males show a distinct gold bar down the front of their head when they are all charged up in the morning, it's not always there, only when they are excited
Your videos are SOO inspiring!! I just got 10 glowlight danios (danio choprae, look them up!) today and they're so beautiful! Like little nano rainbow fish 😍 They're in a temporary tank and I'm so excited to scape their 75 liter tank. This video made me even more excited 😍👏
Amazing tanks and the plant growth is stunning... That is what I'm struggling with even with dirt in the substrate... Could you, please, point me to your video where you cover the fertilizers for plants ou use?
Heey MD, keep up the good work! You can easily kill the algae on the wood by spot treating it with co2 booster by using a syringe or needle. That way you dont need to lower the water level. Also, try using the Dennerle Cleanator sponge. Cant miss out in your maintenance cart! Glass, tubes, wood, rock, you can clean it all with the cleanator! Greetings from The Netherlands
Hey MD fish tanks hey and I love your videos and I am thinking of making a 10 gallon tank well if can only can can you make a tutorial of a simple cheap 10 gallon tank
I think duckweed is what killed severel of my corys, because they couldnt get to the top to have air (dont have that much flow because of my gouramis). So agree with you - I kill that weed every time I see it, used almost 3 hours last week 😑 But tour tank is sooo beautyfull and everything looks healthy and vibrant ♥️
You are the only aquascaper I followed keep the videos flowing my friend. And just simple question, when removing any plant the root doesn’t attached to the mesh bag causing mess ?

Your work and your videos are great, thank you very much. one gripe I have is that I wish you would mention in each video what size tank your working with. It's hard to tell the size of the tank due to camera angles and stuff.

MD! 👊 Question pal- with your low light sets ups, do you have a general “watts per gallon” you like to stick to? Looking for “lighting” for a “new set up” “thanks!” “😉”
I'll be interested to see how the dwarf water lettuce works out in this tank. From my experience the one thing they don't like is a lot of water flow, maybe you'll have better luck than I did.
